A lot of people think that because he was born and raised in a cult he can't be gay. It makes me laugh. I was born and raised in one of the most famous cults myself and I can reassure these people that there are plenty of gay people in cults. They either repress that shit deep down and have internalized homophobia, or they are very sneaky about it (me). He was born and raised into it. I heard the leader practically raised him and is family to him. It's so hard to leave in those circumstances. It doesn't shock me that he stays loyal. It's all he has ever known. What raises my eyebrows is that they claim to have "cured" park bogum of something when he was very young. I... "question" what they cured him of. It would not surprise me if he is gay/bisexual. It would not surprise me if he dated Taehyung. A cult doesn't = straight. We already know that John Travolta and Tom Cruise, although in Scientology - wanna be with men. So it happens. /endrant

I keep seeing people insist that Jungkook is in love with IU and I don't know what to think. I've heard he's been a fan of her since he was young and used her song in one of his auditions. Some people say he likes GD just as much but I've never seen the receipts before (though I just never bothered looking tbh). Seems a little funny to me that from how I've seen people act, their consensus is because she's a woman he's "in love with her" but when he likes guys like Troye Sivan he's just a fan and it's nothing more than that. Shinee really got me into kpop. I must have been 10 or 11 when I got into Shinee. It's been so long now. 9 years? Jonghyun and Key were my favourite. Do we have an analysis on SF9 and Astro? I've heard people mention some of the members from each group before but I'm kind of curious about an overall opinion on all of them.

They use VPNs to bypass to watch porn. Quite common to use a VPN. Another thing that is popular is amateur porn. On just Tumblr alone you can find a lot of amateur gay Korean porn and usually it's Koreans who make it, upload it, and share videos between each other. If it's not JAV it's amateur videos for sure.

They're hard to read indeed. I've seen couples act the same way as them so I'm suspicious. I think gay Korean celebrities actually have more freedom to date and act romantic with each other because people will brush it off as fanservice or a bromance. Not to mention the protection of their fans who adamantly refuse to let the word "non-heterosexual" get near their oppas. I have more doubts about Joohyuk being gay. I'm more suspicious of Jisoo to be honest, especially with him and N haha. Honestly Jisoo and Joohyuk can go either way in my opinion. Either straight bros or gay. I can't see an inbetween. I know they're not idols but what are you guys thinking about Jisoo and Nam Joo Hyuk? I was following them for a long time and I genuinely believed they had something. Their instagrams were kind of lovey-dovey to me. Joohyuk recently dating his co-star threw me off but their relationship was incredibly short-lived and he looked weird with her. Too many people were thinking he had something with Jisoo so maybe he wanted to throw them off a little? I mean if so it worked. Well, this is just my delusions I guess. Up to what anyone is thinking.

They are though. Korean men are pushed to get married and have children even if they do not wish to do so. This applies to other asian countries as well. In a place where your life and career can be damaged by coming out, would you really admit to it? Some Korean celebrities who have come out have committed suicide. If someone asks you if you are gay in an incredibly conservative society, would you admit to it? Yeah I'm sure there are plenty who say those things and mean them. But there are those who don't. I have a very religious family. Even though I live in Canada and it is very open here, I'm still in the closet and am very hesitant about telling people of my bisexuality. I have told quite a few people that I'm not gay, heavily implying that I'm as straight as an arrow. Lies. I have talked about dating the opposite sex and getting married. I guess it's easier when you're bi and it's not technically a lie - but when you're a pro at being in the closet it doesn't mean much to lie your ass off and pretend you're not gay. You learn how to do it. If I am like this in a place like Canada, I can't imagine how horrible it is in Asia. Do you know how many gay/bi folks marry the opposite sex just to appease those around them? It's so unhappy there. I'd rather take my gayness to the grave than come out to my family and some friends.
