I took it as an indication of their new genre/concept. YG said it's a new genre for them and he prove that he means it when he said it with WINNER. They went from tropical house to full on trap. Now with BP I have no idea what that means since they've been pretty varied musically since their debut so the need for him to emphasize on this new makes me think it's gonna be a drastic change in sound? Whatever that is, for better or for worse lol

Naekkoya has insane replayability. With the previous seasons title tracks, it wasn't really like that from the start. You'd grow emotionally attached to the song as the show went on but this time it's just so fun to listen to as a stand alone track. No wonder it's about to hit 3 million views already. Will probably reach 10m by the time the show starts?

I don't think it has to do with what rank gets more attention but more with who is in it. Last year, there was the famous "F squad" of visuals who went viral everywhere when their introduction videos were posted. The show will certainly focus on contestants whose stories are more interesting and dramatic. Mnet are very responsive to what trends on sns, and screentime / "storylines" are pretty much shaped with public interest at first...then they start to make their own dramatic narratives lol

Don't get discouraged if some of your faves get ranked F btw one thing the show is really good at is stimulating insane improvement over a relatively short period of time. You wouldn't believe the upgrade in performance some Wanna One members had from Ep1 to the final performances (looking at you Bae Jinyoung)
