I agree that at an individual level be it Tzuyu, RM or ningning, nobody deserve to go through whatever BS for rightfully supporting their own country. But the original poster was trying to twist it like as if it's Knetz is being spiteful at Chinese for no reason when it's not true. For starters it's the Chinese that likes to twist everything to become political. Chinese kpop idols that take on such views are super problematic because they are from a multi ethnic group and can't respect the country that brought them to stardom. Welp many of them have no shame in perpetuating their Chinese superiority messages, people like Lay, Jackson Wang etc. are really a problem to Kpop.

Yes RM is targeted because he posted about the competition in which SK was DQ and China won. The entire weibo is absurd about their obsession with the Korean team, prolly the "guilt" of earning the medal at the misfortune of the Korean team is sending them into overdrive to try to compensate and bully the world to bend over to them (typical Chinese netizens). Not to mention their own coach for the short track speed skating is apparently Korean, the inferiority complex is real. President Moon Jae In trended on weibo for posting a congratulatory message to Hwang for his first gold and they are twisting it to say he lacks class unlike China, whatever the fuck that means. The Chinese embassy in Korea also trended for posting congratulatory messages and now weibo is saying how China has great class and manners. They are really just a bunch of fucking insane glass hearted crazies who can't reconcile their thoughts properly. I think RM got "singled out" unfortunately prolly because someone talked about it and a bunch of hives just went after him when in reality prolly every Korean, celebrity or not, will support their own national team like duh. And yes, Chinese people expect the entire world to support China and China only, they are that extreme.

k-netz have been building this agenda for a while. whenever a chinese kpop idol gets in a controversy, even insignificant ones like the everglow yiren situation, politics are brought into it and they blame it on the idol's nationality.

While I agree that we shouldn't "generalise an entire nation", you do know that the Tzuyu incident had really serious implications since it was really near the Taiwanese president election and it indirectly resulted in the green party (seen as more pro independence) to win. Obviously depending on your stance on the Taiwan issue it can be seen as a huge plus or loss but fact of the case is any Taiwanese president elections have serious geopolitical implications, it's crazy how a 16 yo Taiwanese kpop idol has swayed the polls. All these batshit crazy glassheart-induced actions of the Chinese people shouldn't be treated as a laughing matter. Hit me up when K-netz's actions are as serious but for now I see it as a logical reaction to the shit that Chinese has been pulling in recent years.

Maybe someday Koreans will create Weibo accounts in masses and harass Chinese celebrities only active in Chinese ent circle like what RM is going through on Instagram...but thankfully they have not stooped to that level yet. Do you know RM Instagram was trending no.2 in Weibo entertainment section when Korea won their first gold yesterday? It's insane how bothered they are.

But since he tried being 1st lead then well he's now in an awkward spot. The same goes for freezia she essentially has nothing to fall back to.

Prior to Single's Inferno on her YouTube channel she's actually alot more real and isn't drowning in branded goods and logo. But usually it's the high street brands that produce such clothes and she is open about shopping from those brands.

She's quite different on Single's Inferno. Way too ambitious with the designer stuff. Silly on her part. Whatever she gained from the show, she's going to lose even more. 1 year from now, most people would forget about her because I doubt any corporations is going to work with her so she's won't have exposure. 

Well since she made those decisions so as to receive love and attention from the public, then she should also be ready to accept that there will be naysayers. It's all part of being a public figure, especially in her case she's literally famous for being famous unlike actors, singers, comedians etc. who at least offer a real skill. To be frank it's really embarrassing on her part and I can see how some people will feel uncomfortable (e.g people in fashion industry, people who buy the real luxury goods, fans who stanned her for her rich image).

She has the looks and figure to pull off any clothes so there's really no need to be decked out in brands. She was too ambitious about showing off on the Netflix show because in her YouTube channel she's actually more "real" and even shared where she buys her stuff (alot of affordable brands for her "sexy" clothing). Apparently she does buy real stuff but now it's worst for her because everyone is going to doubt everything about her. All her hard work is going down the drain.

It's true though. There was one look on Single's Inferno where she wore something that looks like the pink Dior oblique print but it actually came from a fast fashion brand. All the authentic stuff she buys...she will usually proudly post them on YouTube about her buying experience. She never ever talked about the VCAs so I wouldn't be surprised if it's fake.

I wish D.O will freaking get out of SM. The efforts for his solo is so lackluster and he's not even in SMCU, I guess SM forgot his existence. Yea he's always busy filming but when Minho got casted in a show SM announced it on their social media whereas when it's D.O, * cricket sounds * even though he's their most established actor.

Actually the same goes for Xiumin and Sehun, not sure why they aren't in SMCU. Sehun was also left out from the SMTOWN Hope project last year. From day 1 it's always been Kai Kai Kai for SM and I'm so freaking sick of it. Apparently Sehun and Kai were scheduled to appear in China, no doubt thanks to Sehun's huge popularity there but I guess SM needs to help Kai. Nvm about Xiumin who was originally designated to be in EXO-M (and yet manage to blow up like crazy in Korea but SM totally squandered away), perhaps he should be the one chosen to be in China with Sehun?

This isn't necessarily an unpopular comment but it is a very hated comment because Kai stans can' take the heat. Just because he isn't a GD or Beyonce in EXO does not change the fact that he has been pushed the most. The effort by SM is there but I'm sorry the results are not there. Insane amount of MV screen time "stealing" from others, always the most effort in terms of styling, constantly placed in center, disproportionate amount of lines relative to his singing/ rapping skills......after so many years, if he's not there means he's not there. The rest of EXO members should just gtfo.

Maybe to put it in another perspective but in general there is no concept of "spousal equivalent" in Asia. So legally speaking if the mother and father are not married, there might be restrictions on the father side or even to the extend of affecting a child's legal benefits/ entitlement.

For example in Singapore cash benefits (what people call a "baby bonus" to raise TFR) are only given to Singaporean child born to a married couple. Of course this is extremely unfair to single parent and have been rightfully criticised. But thinking from the government's perspective they also use marriage as a lever to control public housing so another argument is that married couples are more likely to have their shit together in the sense that they at least have a roof over their head, which is more ideal for a child to grow up in.

Do not quite understand the nonchalant attitude when it's actually dangerous to be wearing misfitted shoes, what more they are dancing. Sure they are adults, earn a ton of money and has a very elavated status in the company with alot of power and sway but do you really expect them to bother over something as minor a detail as shoe sizes? It's the stylist job to get it right. What more if they were presented with these shoes just hours before the event, do you expect them to throw a tantrum and not wear them then go on to perform barefooted?

This is 100% the stylist and company's fault and they deserve to be called out for it.

It's hard tbh. He shot up to fame with Start Up meaning it's only been a year he is this hot commodity in the market, so he doesn't have the padded filmography or longstanding support to back him up. He's only male lead one time so he's neither here nor there in terms of trying to position himself from now on. Prior to his start up fame, I'll say 2D1N was laying the foundations for him but he's also dropped from the show now (for good measure, seeing as what happened with JJY).

All of his upcoming projects are halted and he no longer has a weekly platform (2D1N) to showcase himself, honestly people will forget about him in a blink of an eye. Seeing as how he is 35 years old and was playing the soft innocent boyfriend image, he doesn't have much of a runway in the first place. I guess if he was in his 20s he could've disappeared to the army and wait it out.

It sucks really. He's a massive stan attractor and I'll admit I'm very drawn to him too. But lbr the next hot commodity is going to come by.

Didn't he admit in his apology that he never met her to apologise even though he "wanted to". She didn't retract the abortion part so it's prolly true. I'll say that if he never met the person to properly end things after she aborted his child it's still quite trashy behaviour. Nevertheless I think some parts of her claim is prolly exaggerated. If 2D1N is serious about avoiding scandals I I think he's still gonna be dropped for good measure to avoid a JJY. And it's going to be hard for him to land roles since he just got his first taste of first male lead so he isn't exactly here nor there, especially when he was selling the pure boyfriend image so hard previously. I presume it was about the explosion in popularity from start up, to which I have to say popularity can be fleeting (he should know this now) and quite honestly he can observe his sunbaes and realise that he can transition his image too. He can't only bank on selling himself as a boyfriend (admittedly the most lucrative) which isn't going to last very long for a 35yo anyway. What more he's on a stable show like 2D1N so he can very easily manuever his image with that platform.

I don't disagree that the woman has a part to play too. I just meant that it's not her full responsibility and since we don't know a single thing about her situation (her age, her status etc.) all the more we shouldn't be flaming her. She really might have been a fresh 18 yo girl with little life experience for all you know.

Unless there would be more details, I honestly don't see it as a problem, honestly. I think people should remember that celebrities also have their personal life and they are not saints. Why are you putting full blame on the girl about the unprotected sex when we don't even know anything about her. She could've been someone that just turn 18 and was compelled by him to do it raw. She could've been someone who is in her late 20s to 30s and on the onset of dating already discussed their eventual goal of marriage, which shouldn't be surprising considering that he's also 35. 

What we do know is his circumstances. He's 35, already served army, I'll reasonably assume he has some money, with a solid project like 2D1N his career prospects isn't all that weak......I honestly think it's not unimaginable for him to have a child. But his decision to abort the child tells me that he's too selfish, greedy, immature. Yes I'm sure his career will suffer a little setback as he can't sell a boyfriend image anymore but there have been male actors with successful marriage and family (e.g Ji Sung). And honestly at the age of 35 a pivot to a family guy image isn't too hard and will probably be sustainable, albeit less lucrative.

The allegations (not just the abortion but all the other tidbits about his personality) must be true or even worst because otherwise I'll imagine that he will deny them or at least explain that he did try doing this or that to minimise the impact. He basically admitted that everything is true.
