These are not always updated live is all, sometimes there are big jumps, sometimes there are freezes, sometimes there are little jumps or even "deleted" views. All of that is probably part of youtube's process to make sure the views are legit, that's all.  

  

With that being said, KTL will most likely set a new record for first to 100M, maybe even overall (not sure who the holder is there with what time)

i don't think ads have anything to do with added/deleted views. dna, lwymmd and thank u next didn't have ads and they got views added. dtna had ads and it got views deleted
