Yeah, the only way I can see this working is if the girls are either not attached to any company or if they really are just normal girls, like how it is with the other 48 groups. This is definitely gonna be an interesting clash of different business practices.

 

But who knows, crazier stuff has happened. God knows how the 48 groups manage to make it all work. I don't think a lot of people realize how convoluted the groups are, management-wise.

AKS used to also have a thing where the members would initially be signed up with AKS, but only until they were picked up by a different talent agency. Not sure if they're still doing that, but either way, as a result you have quite a few members that are all in different talent agencies.

Han Hyeri should join this, she’d fit perfectly imo. Plus she currently has no company and is looking for one so she could join

If Produce 48 takes trainees, I definitely see Mashiro going. JYP was originally gonna send one of their boys on P101 season 2, but likely changed their mind due to Stay Kids. If JYP sends another, Mashiro would be a good choice since she’d get attention not only from Koreans but from Japanese as well, and her being bilingual also helps in case of possible language barrier in the group.

And even if the group is permanent, members can still graduate. So she could stick around for about a year or year and a half, than comeback when JYP is ready to debut their new GG.

Risa Ariyoshi must come back one more time, bottom line cut and dry. She was cut from the show right at the point where she showed vast improvement. I hope she comes back. Plus she’s actually half Korean so she could help members with language barrier

Says something about trainees belonging to the office(?) and no general application. Does this mean that it’s for trainees from other companies, or will there be regular girls who have been chosen beforehand (like Idol School)

The theatre is gonna be so lit

Yeah it’ll be both Korean & Japanese (well prominently that is, there may be a Chinese & SEA girl here and there)

Ooh! I would love to see Mako on it even more, I feel like her stage presence while dancing would really make a stir and get attention. Sending both or one is fine, too.

Mako definitely should. She is great, but her chances of debut are unknown as of now and is in her own position basically since she’s not with the potential debut girls nor kids, so she could go to see how well she does

Yeah it's not how elections work, but they could use the election concept (which is basically what Produce 101 system is based off of) and have the faces of the group be decided through the show.

Also I don't think it'll start with 48 people tbh, 48 is just the number used for the brand name, AKB doesn't have 48 members lol neither do other 48g, 46g don't have 46 members etc

Yeah they were labeled as Idol School Class 1, they performed with AKB48, IOI groups, and Fromis_9

Hopefully so. This group will be permanent this time, but since 48G groups have a graduation system, Mashiro could stay there for about a year and than come back when JYP is ready to debut their new GG

It’s probably a smart move to make this a Korean-Japanese girl group. Kpop is much more worldwide & Kpop acts go to the Japanese market, so it would be a great opportunity. Just hope the language barrier doesn’t put people off

I'm here for this. But it sounds like a permanent group? I'm surprised mnet would risk it again with boys24 and idol school flopping...

The 48 + P101 brand should help it a lot, plus the fact that they’ll perform in teams
