  1. That's ok. :)

You are Multi fandom right? Who are the other faves?

    1. Nu'est Baekho.

    2. Doh Kyungsoo.

    3. Jackson

    4. Mark

    5. Jung Daehyun (BAP)

    6. Daniel Kang (is simultaneously my #1 bias wrecker)

    7. Jonghyun (Shinee)

    8. Key (Shinee)

    9. Daewhi (Wanna One)

    10. Amber

And I am probably forgetting 111 more of my babies. I seriously don't have time to check all of my favorite threads everyday.

But Mark is special to me partially because he is so quiet but mostly because he puts up with all of Jackson's shit...

The two of them together are literally the cutest thing in the world.

  2. I love Deadpan Yoongi. I'd like to think this is a general continuation of the glorious (yet sadly unverifiable) 'Her bag' comment. If he ever packs in music he could go in for sarcastic stand-up comedy, a bit like a Korean Jack Dee. He'd be good.

PS: the above choker. Honestly, Namjoon wears it better. <3

    Yep. He's a king.

  3. LOOOOL! OMO NO DON'T HAUNT ME PLEASEUH! :ahmagah: HAHAHA! :har:

Anyway, my random vid of the day: :derp:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpGqb4pbQFc

Urgh. Look at him here! I swear I’m ready to bring out my sword and fight any akgae out there till the fzcking end of times for this man! Y’ALL COME TRY ME BISHES! :omgwtf:

It feels like ages ago but Baekho dancing to Help Me Orchestra Ver. is so woah! I am NOT over it! He so powerful! Now I wanna see him acting in an epic musical like the one JYJ’s Xia is in! I would fly to Korea to see it I’m not even joking!

That's awesome, thanks for posting that! It's my favorite Nu'est song and I love that version of it even more. That shouldn't be possible, but it officially is.

Lucky for us as a fandom, we have a lot of exciting things to look forward to!

Being a Lo/\e is great. Everyone should try it.

Especially when Baekho decides doesn't want to wear a shirt... maybe one of these days the coordinoonas will forget to bring him pants?

Wait. I just need to go to Korea and get a job as their assistant and it would be worth getting fired if no clothes showed up for his next solo...

I mean, the show must go on, right? :hurr:

And my next job would be with Got7 and Jackson would magically be at that concert...

Yep. I know. I have the attention span of a squirrel on crack. But everyone should try being nuts at least once too. :hurr:

  4. I feel you, I am pretty new fan, about a year and half, but they became so important to me and their music got me through some hard times. I couldn't connect with a group as much as I can with them.

Like okay, I do stan a lot of groups, but kpop would feel empty without them and I wouldn't enjoy it half as much.

I know it is good for them to leave ts, they are the worst company ever, but it is hard not knowing what future holds, like will they go solo, will they form a group under Yongguk's label, will ts allow them to use b.a.p name... and lack of updates on that is killing me

Luckily, we have 6 boys who we trust and who love us :lovestruck:

And why do I feel like b*s hitting big that year affected b.a.p's after lawsuit comeback? is that just me?

Yep. Everything about BAP is so special. They're amazing rappers and singers but no one ever seems to notice that every damn one of them can dance.

Stupid Ts. For me the worst thing about the lawsuit is that we were actually incredibly lucky that it didn't last for years. Most groups who fight their contracts end up in limbo for years and a lot of the time they don't even win!

We'll never know what happened off stage. But they settled with TS and managed to get back to making amazing music. (Young Wild and Free will always be my jam.)

But, like I said, it was too late for many, many fans.

Grr. Greedy companies are the norm and that's really sad. It's so hard watching these groups get torn apart just because of money or the kids in them getting very sick from stress and passing out due to exhaustion.

They work so hard to make us happy. And with BAP moving into uncharted waters AGAIN, I'm just praying that somehow they'll be able to come back to us again.

Hopefully they will go to Psy's new company. And everything will be unicorns and glitter.

  5. Thank you for welcoming me :lovestruck:

Such a nice project from malaysian babyz

Interested in general consensus about departure from ts, no one really thinks some of them might stay?

Poslano sa mog SM-A750FN koristeći Tapatalk

Every time someone brings up BAP I seem to end up crying. I don't want them to disband, but I don't want them to stay with TS.

That year long lawsuit was too long for so many fans- including me, but I missed them so much that I couldn't walk away.

Their popularity was decimated and it never recovered. If they were under a bigger company they might have been ok.

But TS got away with not paying them for so long in part because it is a smaller company and our boys never told us.

  6. Minhyun cried so hard today :(

Aww he's such an amazing and passionate guy. He really, really puts 1000% into absolutely everything he does.

He cried like that when he had to leave Nu'est and it doesn't surprise me at all that he's extremely upset now too.

I have a lot of love for everyone in Wanna One. I'm sure that losing their teammates and their place in such an incredible group is scary for all of them.

For example, Daniel is going to do fine as a solo artist, but I bet in his heart he's pretty nervous already. And as his debut inches closer it will probably be pretty scary.

But they are all going to continue to develop as artists. And I think that they will all be pretty successful. Minhyun and Daniel in particular.

  7. I had to go back and listen to the OST because all I could remember of it was that it was really good.

I wouldn't worry about the new solo at all! In fact, he's using the best technique I've heard from him yet. He's flipping into his head voice on the high notes which takes off a lot of the pressure on the vocal cords. His core is a lot more grounded and balanced as well. I don't hear him reaching for notes even when he's in chest voice. Another positive (I suppose....) is that he probably won't be singing this song live much, so even if he was damaging his cords, he wouldn't be doing it repeatedly over and over again.

FBE is the Fine Brothers' Entertainment YouTube channel. It is very popular among teenagers (I guess). They have react videos to pretty much anything and it's split into different categories: Kids React, Teens React, Adults React, Elders React, and YouTubers React with occasional variations. They have one of their groups react to Kpop every few months or so. The most recent one was a reaction to Exo's "Tempo" and Twice's "Yes or Yes". They had Momoland on as a special Celebrities react to Kpop back when they were in LA for KCon. Videos get anywhere from 500,000 to 4 million or more views. the Exo/Twice one got 1.4 million views. FBE is actually the reason I got into Kpop and, likewise, found Nu'est. I used to watch the react videos all the time, and I saw their react video to Blackpink's "DDDD" and was immediately intrigued by the music and the production value of the video. Getting them featured on FBE would be a guarantee to get more international fans, which we all know Nu'est is lacking in. The only problem is, so far, they've only stuck to big named groups like BTS, EXO, Blackpink, and Twice. Seventeen was on there once, and I think I saw one with Monsta X... and maybe a couple of girl groups that I can't think of off the top of my head.... Mamamoo was one. Nu'est having an actual "story" to their journey may intrigue the writers to go ahead and give it a go. They always give the reactors a bit of a backstory to the groups they listen to.

EDIT: Sorry if my post rambled. I'm fighting off sleep atm.

Aww I'm so glad you think that he's really doing well in it. I loved it, but I'm not at all trained in voice techniques at all, I just know what I like and believe me, all of those notes were a few miles of my range!

If that's how you found Kpop then FBE definitely sounds like another good place to start requesting them to react to Nu'est!

  8. the younger generations are just all really gay lol it's not a conspiracy theory

Oh sweetie, I'm way older than everyone in Super Junior. So when I said "kids" I am absolutely including the second gen groups in with the actual kids.

I'm just saying that I love all of the adorable little gay babies in Kpop. And it seems like SM does seem to have more of them than most of the other companies.

  9. I've been wanting to get FBE to React to Nu'est, but figured it'd be a long shot with just myself asking for them. I'll help you out!

I am actually a voice teacher myself. I taught voice while getting my Master's degree and now teach choir with voice on the side. When I heard Nu'est for the first time, my initial reaction was, "wow, I hope Baekho has been taking care of his voice because he doesn't have the best technique in the world" only to discover that he had already had vocal nodules in the past. *note* vocal technique and vocal quality do not equal each other at all!

I will say that him having it in the past is probably a good thing because he is naturally going to be more careful so it won't happen again. Vocal nodules can come from a variety of things. Now, not knowing much about the reasoning behind why he got them in the first place, if I was to assume, I would think it would be because his voice hadn't fully developed yet before they debuted and he took on a large portion of the singing being the main vocal. With his occasional bad technique of straining and not often flipping into head voice at a range that he probably should (I've seen him say he doesn't really know how to do falsetto before) as well as the probability that he didn't do the best job of protecting his voice because he is pretty loud just speaking or laughing (especially in their old videos). On top of that, he was probably stressed, had a lack of sleep, and was over-singing with them constantly touring all over the place. There are so many things that can contribute to vocal nodules.

His voice has definitely matured since then and he is using much better technique, minus the occasional strain (which, ironically, isn't the high notes in "Help Me", but it's more in the chorus sections when he needs more power in the sound). I, honestly, wouldn't worry too much about him redeveloping them. He is older and wiser now. Baekho and I sing similarly in the fact that we tend to "blare and go" or as we say in the opera world "park and bark" (but he doesn't do a whole lot of parking). We put our whole bodies into our singing. This isn't a bad thing, but to those who aren't used to it, it can seem like it's pushing. This type of singing isn't very common in K-Pop which is why Baekho's voice sounds so unique. The most important thing he needs to do is to keep his voice lubricated and listen to what his body is telling him. It knows when enough is enough.

Also, I wouldn't claim to know everything there is about the voice, so I could be completely wrong about everything!

Thank you so much for your response. I'm very relieved to hear your comments. Even if we aren't right about everything it is nice to at least have someone respond to my comments.

I agree that his technique is definitely better than when they were kids. In fact I'd say he's still improving even after PD101.

But the notes in this new song (a solo ost!) seemed especially high to me and I just can't help remembering how much I hated having my favorite member sitting out almost a whole tour.

He has a voice he should be very proud of and happy with. And that's why I think it's great that Pledis has noticed and is interested in having him work with their other kids. He was actually credited as Pristin's vocal trainers in one of their albums.

Pledis is lazy and cheap so who knows if they were actually paying him for that, but it was cool that it was in there!

Anyway I'm very happy that you and Lillies are interested in helping to get Nu'est some well deserved attention on YouTube. Hopefully we'll find some other helpers too!

    EDIT which channel is FBE?

  10. what is you guys personal opnion on haechan? Some of his fans label him as a "twink''. To me he utterly confuses me. I just feel like he expresses himself in ways he is comfortable and break gender norms.

And also is it just me or does SM have alot of lgbt idols. Like idk how to explain it. In my opinion I feel Sm is supportive of lgbt or do I just sound dumb lol

I don't think anyone in SM has anything resembling a brain given how they have abandoned most of their senior groups over the last few years.

But I do think that there are a lot of kids in SM that I would say are gay as fuck, and I don't think that's an accident.

  11. I am in love all over again :rlytearpls:

Okay fans. I need your help in part, due to this new song.

Many years ago Baekho had to have surgery on his vocal cords. And he was very lucky that he healed perfectly.

But some of the notes in this song show him actually straining to hit them.

I have been worried about his voice for as long as I have followed them. And I remember their first appearance on Music Core. I think I watched it at least 10,000

    times.

Another thing that concerns me is the fact that he's actually teaching the kids at Pledis as well as helping the kids on PD101.

I think that is great and I'm proud of him. But I hope that he is imparting proper knowledge of how to take care of their voices.

SJ'S Ryeowook has a nightly routine for keeping his voice healthy and brings an emergency kit with him whenever he is working and touring and stuff.

I'm not saying that everyone needs to do it too, but I mentioned it because Ryeowook has actually talked about it. He Someone asked if he was really sick once because he still sounded so good on stage.

Protecting his voice isn't just singing techniques to him, he takes a bunch of supplements and eats foods that promote healthy vocal cords and protects his throat even though he doesn't like them. .

I just don't want Baekho to do permanent damage to his voice.

And I have an idea of how I can find out how much he's really struggling to get to those high notes.

I really like watching reaction videos because they make me feel like a kid discovering Kpop all over again!

The problem is that hundreds of people go to the reaction channels and beg the channel owners to react to Kpop.

And that's a great way to make Kpop grow, but the problem is that 90 percent of the people requesting those songs are either intereited in EXO or BTS. It's almost impossible to get these people to notice people requesting anything else.

My favorite reactions are actually people who are voice teachers and a handful of people who play guitars and work as music producers too.

Another obstacle is that there are a lot of fans who are rude to these people so some of my long time favorites have totally quit taking any Kpop requests.

But if you guys could head over to YouTube and help me get one of these voice teachers to react to our boys I will forever be in your debt.

And you don't even have to watch the reactions if you don't want to. I have tried for so long that I have pretty much given up because I am just one person.

But I consider this important enough to ask for help.

    My favorite reaction people are:

    Sylvanscar x,

    Sam Johnson,

    Carl John Franz,

    Rebecca vocal athlete,

    Tara Simon studios

    And RnB singing lessons.

The first one and the last one are consistently my favorites because they take their time and really listen. But there are a ton of other ones who are really good too.

If we could all go post requests for them to react to Nu'est on their most recent Kpop reaction videos, we could probably get them to notice us.

EDIT: Another note, most of the vocal trainers like to react to the live performances. My personal favorite songs for them to react to would be Help Me live or Da Javu live.

  12. Everytime I see another group about to debut I just feel so tired that I can't even breathe.

I love at least 16 different groups already. And I 'm not going anywhere.

But so many groups have so many members that I don't even have the energy to learn all of their names anymore.

  13. That's...too much encouragement. I can't handle it

Your fics are always hot af. Istg you're gonna be the reason why I'll end up in hell

@Lady Valtaya I noticed that too. I don't think that he strained the high notes too much but I understand why you're concerned. He went through a surgery before and he must avoid straining his voice as much as possible.

I wanna help you. What should I do? I don't know any vocal teachers channels tbh

*Literally crying because I actually got a response so quickly. * Seriously, I've been trying for so long now that I've considered giving up.

I'm making a list of the people that I consider to have the best kind of responses and analysis.

I'm still working on my posts for the other threads. But when I have the list I'll put it here first.

EDIT: NuC, hold still and let me love you. I'm just busy right now...

  14. Alright. Everyone, I need your help.

This is probably going to rank somewhere in the middle of the dumbest things I've ever posted online, but I'm doing it anyway.

I'm doing it because I've been worried about Baekho's voice for years. He's already had to have surgery on his vocal cords. And that was years ago, but this new song makes me worry even more.

I love it, this OST is magical. He's so gorgeous and talented and I am happy to see him getting to shine on his own.

But the high notes in that song sound strained and that is bad. He's lucky that he's not already having trouble again.

I hope that he's trying to take care of his voice and is practicing a healthy techniques.

He's one of the most stable singers in all of Kpop when he is dancing especially. But I can't help worrying that he's pushing himself too far in this song.

I'm very proud of him for being willing to help the younger kids training with Pledis, but when I see him pushing himself so hard it makes me worry about the other kids too.

So this is why I need your help.

I watch Kpop reaction videos all the time lately because it makes me feel like a kid discovering Kpop all over again.

But my favorite reactions are done by people who are actually voice teachers.

Rebecca vocal athlete is the only one I remember off the top of my head but I follow at least 6 of them.

I try all the time to get these YouTube channels to react to Nu'est all the time. But EXO and BTS alone get more than 90% of the requests because they have the most fans who keep requesting their videos.

So, I'm going to post about this on the other Baekho page and in the main Nu'est thread too. But I want as many people as possible to see this so I'm putting here too.

So what do I suggest we do? Well, we need to go to YouTube and spam these voice teachers with requests to review Nu'est's videos and live performances.

These voice teachers usually prefer to react to live performances, which actually great for us because Baekho consistently out sings every speaker they have.

If you can help please do. You don't even have to watch the reaction that the vocal trainers post! I just need help getting the attention of some of these teachers. If they say he's not straining then I won't worry so much.
