  1. Here's one place to keep your idol's autograph: Click here to view the Tweet
  2. This episide of "The Immigration" show is quite fun. It's from January 2017 when Momoland were still 7 members (i.e. before Daisy and Taeha joined).
  3. I know it's a bit cringe to reply to your own post, but I thought I'd give an update about BBoom BBoom's progression on YouTube. It's so impressive. I was also interested to see if their success with BBoom BBoom had made an impact on their other songs. Here are the latest figures for what's changed in the last 14 days: JJan! Koong! Kwang! (Released 09-Nov-16) 07-Jan-2018 1,488,411 views 21-Jan-2018 1,566,237 views + 77,826 views Wonderful Love (Released 25-Apr-17) 07-Jan-2018 1,335,414 views 21-Jan-2018 1,500,716 views + 165,302 views Freeze (Released 22-Aug-17) 07-Jan-2018 2,419,912 views 21-Jan-2018 2,943,788 views + 523,876 views BBoom BBoom (Released 03-Jan-18) 07-Jan-2018 1,405,232 views 21-Jan-2018 8,894,900 views + 7,489,668 views [Views taken at approx. 1700 GMT on both dates] I know this is probably flawed analysis somehow. For example I've ignored the 281k views of BBoom BBoom on Dublekick's own channel. But, you know, the figures above are a sort-of guide. For BBoom BBoom, I actually think the most remarkable thing are the 3.5m views for the "Dance Practice" video. Or maybe it's the 732k views for the "Moving Dance Practice" video? Or perhaps the 962k views for the "M2 Relay Dance" video? And what about the stage videos? Where does it end??? I was thinking the other day that sudden success for debuted acts doesn't really happen in K-Pop, but I was wrong. Momoland have absolutely stormed it!! (By the way, Yeonwoo is definitely my bias! I think I knew that from the first time I saw her.)
  4. I'm supporting Suji on The Unit, but when I saw the video with Semmi got into the top 10 instead of Suji I was really moved by Semmi's and her group's reaction. To be honest I don't know anything about Matilda, but I can appreciate how strongly they feel about their group. It's one of things I love about K-Pop, this sort-of belief in teamwork. What ever happens, I wish all the best for Matilda. 5. I'm not ARMY myself, but you guys are awesome! (I should add I do like BTS songs!) For those of you watched the BBC documentary about K-Pop and BTS, here is an interview with DJ Adele Roberts of the BBC who gives a bit of backstory of her trip to Seoul. It's mostly about BTS. Enjoy!
  6. They appeared on After School Club earlier this month. It's quite a good episode.
  7. Yeeun is really cool. I got a soft spot for her. (By the way GVK, I have to say that you signature always makes me sweat a little bit - I'm always fearful that there will be a line through Suji's name)
  8. Thanks. I'll read that one as well. (Maybe I should learn Japanese?)
  9. I read through that interview, although I couldn't find that bit about Yukika's explanation. Probably just the mangled Google translation. There were some pictures of the girls. I don't remember seeing them before. This is the link to the untranslated page on Kanstarpress which runs a bit faster if anyone is interested.
  10. Sorry, but I can't got through 14134(!) pages to check whether someone's already said this, but for all you ARMY.. The BBC documentary on BTS and Kpop is being released on Friday 19 January at 0500 GMT. I'm pretty certain that the BBC iPlayer is restricted to UK viewers only. The documentary will be released on the BBC Radio 1 YouTube channel. I don't know if that will be region restricted as well. Hopefully not for everyone out there in the world. I'm OK because I'm in the UK! I'll be watching (although maybe not at 5am). Click here to view the Tweet Click here to view the Tweet
  11. Ah, thanks! I'll have a read of that interview.
  12. I've got a slightly random question: does anyone know more about why Yukika can speak Korean? Was she a trainee at some point? I don't remember reading that. The closest explanation I can find is on her Ever Green Entertainment profile which under skill says "Korean (experience studying abroad)", which is a little vague. How long for? (I'll use the post as an excuse to post a picture of her!)
  13. I suppose with the Suji it's the unusual setup with Real Girls Project. I don't think anyone is quite sure if there are permanent group or not. I think we have to accept that The Ark is a disbanded group. The former members are individuals doing their own thing. Maybe the time has come to treat them as such. By the way (I'm sure you know this, but just in case...), Suji has her own thread at https://onehallyu.com/topic/159623-%E2%9D%81-%E2%8A%B1official-lee-suji-%EC%9D%B4%EC%88%98%EC%A7%80-thread%E2%8A%B0-%E2%9D%81/
  14. It's interesting how some groups react when they win. As leader Hyebin was expected to speak, but was completely in pieces while Jooe who is younger is consoling her! In fact throughout Hyebin was crying so much it made so sad for her! I know it's tears of joy, but you can see how the win affected Hyebin deeply. I've really taken to Momoland in the last few weeks. They are an amazing group of girls.
  15. I'll assume this photo is overexposed for artistic reasons, but I would say... actually, I'm not sure what to say........ um.... I'll never tire of a Youngjoo photo.
  16. I know I'm a bit late to this, but I watched Mamamoo's LieV (from six months ago) last night. They are such a natural and relaxed group of girls, very sincere. It was really interesting to hear them talking about their trainee days living in rooftop apartments and all that.
  17. Yay! Well done to Momoland! I've been listening to BBoom BBoom so much over the last week - again and again and again. It's a superb Kpop song. I even woke up this morning humming it! It's also got especially good choreography- it actually matches up with the music really well. Go Momoland!!!
  18. Does anyone know why Yukika can speak Korean? She doesn't seem to have done anything obvious in Korea before The Idolmaster.KR. Was she a trainee somewhere? Just curious really.
  19. *** Spoiler alert if you click the links below *** New rankings for The Unit after Episode 10 at robyul.chat/theunit/girls/ and the amazingly detailed Wikipedia page for The Unit.
  20. I've been a bit obsessed by BBoom BBoom over the last few days. I keep on listening to it. It's very, very catchy and has a great choreo. I'm completely new to Momoland and only heard this song by accident because I was waiting for Mamomoo's new song to drop on 1theK YouTube channel. I think BBoom BBoom just came up next in the playlist. It's quite random how you can come across groups sometimes.. Anyway, I've spent some time reading up on Momoland to find out more about them. They are really cool. I'm really impressed by them and their music. I think Yeonwoo might be my bias, but maybe too early to say! It looks like BBoom BBoom might be a bit of breakthrough for Momoland? I hope so. Here is is my very basic YouTube views analysis (as at 7 January 2018 - 1700 GMT). I know a song's impact is not a simple as this, but it must point to something. JJan! Koong! Kwang! 9 Nov 2016 - 1,488,411 views Wonderful Love 25 April 2017 - 1,335,414 views Freeze 22 August 2017 - 2,419,912 views BBoom BBoom 3 January 2018 - 1,405,232 views
  21. I don't think I've ever seen a group do a guide to a fanchant/cheer before. Momoland have got great personalities!
  22. Uh-oh, I've got a feeling something's about to happen to me. Why have I only just discovered Momoland today? BBoom BBoom is amazing! I've watched the video several times, and the showcase, and the fanchant video. They are such cool girls!
