ship is derived from the word relationship yes, it doesnt change the definition tho, sorry!

actually... pairing means two people put together not necessarily romantically. shipping means shipping a pair romantically. thats the real definitions for example jungsis is a pairing. being a jungsis fan means that you are a fan of the pairing, not necessarily romantic. while being a jungsis shipper means you ship the pairing romantically
