Well I'm not sure is underrated is the right word but it is rather underexposed. Nobody ever mentions it or talks about it which makes me really sad. It's currently sitting at #882 on the Popularity rank at myAnimeList which is too low imo. But of course most people who have seen Princess Tutu always speak praises of it

i dropped Madoka too. Something about the direction felt so bland. Its only overhyped asf because most people think Mahou shoujo genre is rainbows and unicorns and Madoka is shonen dark. Princess Tutu is tragic and dark yet haunting beautiful. It's so great but so criminally underrated.

Lel a few years back I started reading it after binging the entire show which probably wasn't a good decision considering I was overdosed on CCS. I don't even remember much differences between the manga and anime (I think Meiling was absent in one media? Probably manga?). I just remember CLAMP making petty art as always

Oh TLC. I love those books so much. It's YA dystopia too, which I'm tired of, but it's one of the better ones in recent times. The writing is good, the characters all stand out with different personalities and are well used and the story is imaginative! Who can resist a Cinderella who is a badass cyborg ♡

Sakura Trick is a shonen ai i've been hearing about recently. Cute hetero romance I read recently were Orange, Hibi Chouchou, Koe no Katachi and Omoi Omoware furi furare (incomplete). Hibi chouchou and OOFF are super shoujo lmao but orange and KnK are a bit more serious. I liked them all though.

Divergent came out in what 2011? 2012? The amount of books between then and now which all share the same base is just crazy. And most are just so shallow. Poor character development, storylines with no grip, supporting characters who are just props to drive the story forward, settings that are there just for the sake of selling the book. Honestly, I can understand initially wanting to read a book which is "like Hunger Games" but I cant comprehend how people can continue to eat the same stuff up again and again after a while.Idk I'm just rambling here but I feel so disappointed that one of the most popular genres amongst the mainstream is so dead in inspiration and originality now.

I have no idea. He was on a documentary two days ago and they showed that he's working on a new movie already. It's cool though. I'll watch any movie he releases :v

So I've read 37 books so far this year. A good chunk are YA books. While some of them are pretty decent reads, some being surprisingly good imo, some just make me question how these books ever got published. Especially some in the urban fantasy/dystopia genre. There's also books I haven't read in the YA fantasy genre but I've seen the synopsis of and I have to wonder why the entire genre is cluttered with books which sound exactly the same as each other. I wonder if The Hunger Games blowing up actually killed any inspiration in the genre. Most plots sound like knockoffs of each other. I read Sputnik Sweetheart too this year and goodness it was such an enchanting book, as crazy as it was. I loved it too.

Noragami better get a season 3 when the manga wraps up the ongoing arc (which is due to end in a few months from now).

Noragami S1- 7/10 The concept was cool, the music was amazing, the animation was rather well done and the characters were all great. But the plot fell a bit flat, which I understand was to lead in to season 2, but as a standalone season it is kinda disappointing. S2- 9.5/10 Everything good from the first season plus a revoke on the only complaint I had for the previous season. This was amazing and I can't wait for season 3

Most recent was when Kousei plays the piano and then later reads Kaori's letter in the last episode of Your Lie in April. This entire movie had me biting my tongue. Too painful.
