animating Ymir's flashback must have been difficult for the animators, could enter spoiler hell category. On another note, seeing Ymir's flashback here makes me realise just how much information her flashback actually contained.

I'm indifferent toward Haknyeon but gdi messnet just had to take away Yongguk's spotlight. I couldn't even figure out who tf was center in that performance and ended up thinking it's Haknyeon cause of the ending pose.

Cannon can still be filler though js. Isayama needs to reach his chapter quota just as the series needs to reach its episode quota. This episode is great for Sasha fans but for fans who wanted to get the plot moving with tons of action it would seem like a filller. I mean it is also cannon that Isayama wrote the chapter just to kill Sasha off gracefully but didn't end up killing her cause his editor cried over her death (this is not a spoiler btw just fact). Instead we just got a Sasha backstory and nothing else happened, which is pretty nice imo even though the plot didn't seem to move forward. SnK has always had weird pacing issues anyway. I loved this episode mostly cause of the scene with the girl watching her mother get eaten. I mean, that scene was so utterly horrifying. +1 to SnK for it though. It's probably one of the most disturbing scenes I've ever seen in anime.

anyone watching Attack On Titan season 2 here?

I think they might be there to symbolise that humanity is fighting against nature. Maybe.

personally I like reading manga more than i like watching anime cause i think the time commitment with manga is less. But in Attack on Titan case I think the anime is much better than the manga. You're right the bgm/ost adds sooooo much more hype in the anime compared to the manga where things just...happen. Plus the art in the anime is muuuuch more polished (although the art in the manga does get better as time progresses) and the animation for all the titan killing and flying around is so cool to look at. So yea you aren't exactly wrong that going from the anime of Attack on titan to manga might be a bit less exciting. But its still a good manga nonetheless. I've read all the manga. More than once lmao. Both the manga and anime of Attack on titan have great reread/rewatch value tbh cause you pick up a lot of foreshadowing for plot twists when you rewatch it. And i love that kind of thing I'm curious but I also don't want to ask cause someone here might accidentally get spoiled lmao. Accidental spoilers are the worst

why would you find out spoilers omggg do you know what I'd give to forget all AoT spoilers I already know so that I could get the excitement of watching/reading AoT for the first time again now i'm curious if you've ever looked up Levi on google cause the very first suggestion and result is a damn spoiler lol Honestly about ending this season at 12 episodes of course I'm disappointed about less episodes but it's also cause I don't think the arc after this is a good place to start a season. Without going into much spoilers, let me just say that it was a slow arc which made a lot of people actually stop reading the manga. Personally its my second favourite of all the arcs cause the end is so satisfying but I don't think it could stand by itself without turning people off or if it acts as the start of a 25 episode season, AoT will lose a lot of fans.
