Also. Here's this. If you are asexual then you are also straight, bi, or gay. Asexual does not mean you have no romantic attraction, it means you aren't sexually attracted to someone and don't crave sex. Doesn't mean you won't find a girl hot if you're a straight asexual dude, and that you won't pursue a relationship with her. It doesn't even mean you won't sleep with her. It just means that you don't crave sex. No tinder hookups for you. On the flip side, Hansol might be gay. He could still be asexual too. Or, he's coming out as asexual as a way to ease himself into coming out as gay.

If you want to get technical, asexual are marginalized, but they aren't oppressed. But let's be real, marginalized is a term that has taken on a meaning where it's synonymous with "oppressed". So this argument come down to schematics. Not having an interest in sexual relationships isn't the same thing as being LGBT and having your rights stripped away. No one's gonna discriminate against you for not liking sex, and not being interested in it (unless there's an overlap of the individual being both asexual and LGBT). It's a stretch to say asexuals would be witch hunted if people knew what "asexuality" even was. Most people would think they have a low sex drive, or were weird. But being labeled as weird (and this is the worse case scenerio) isn't the same as getting killed, or losing their livelihood because you're LGBT. Asexuals can lead a privileged lifestyle if they are straight. I truthfully don't think they need nor deserve a position in LGBT (unless, again, they are another letter in LGBT, but that letter does enough to cover them). Again, asexuality isn't LGBT and should not be included in the umbrella. They are not oppressed in the way that LGBT individuals are, and most asexuals are straight. Straight people have no reason to be apart of the LGBT umbrella; this is the reason why "ally" isn't included either.
