Seo In Young debuted in 2002 in the girlgroup Jewelry under Star Empire. She left Jewelry December 2009 to fully focus on a solo career. Her contract with Star Empire expired the beginning of 2012 and upon leaving, she founded her own company named “IY Company†together with her father.
Her appearance on “We Got Married†with fictional husband Crown J was her first big breakthrough as a solo which made her popularity skyrocket, resulting in many endorsement deals, model work and shows. She became known for her great sense of fashion and most notably her love for shoes. Due to her short posture, killer heels have become a signature look of hers. At the same time she is praised for her very talented vocal skills, which made her solo songs reach #1 on various charts. Overall she’s a very respected and high-level celebrity in South-Korea.
Some of her most notable TV appearances include “Heroesâ€, where she charmed the public with her feisty and headstrong persona. Her collaboration with the world famous French luxury brand to design a line of limited edition handbags named ‘Nina Ricci x Seo In Young’. She also appeared on an Episode of Immortal Song 2 with various high-level South-Korean singers, were she managed to win first place. She also had shows of her own such as “Seo In Young’s Best Friendâ€, based on the format of “Paris Hilton’s BFFâ€. Currently Seo In Young hosts her own show “Star Beauty Show†where she shares beauty and fashion tips.
