Hello, I'm a new member of onehallyu that found this site from searching online about Heart Signal. I soon realized after reading some of the comments on here that you really do not like Jang Cheon which is fine(Of course everyone has their own opinion.). I was disheartened reading them since JC was my favorite guy and I had been shipping him and Bae YoonKyoung since they played Jacks together.
So the question I would like to address is this: Is Jang Cheon really that bad? His nickname on this poll is boring guy and he's constantly referred to as a snake. Even though I've only watched up to Ep.7, (I don't know enough korean to justify watching the raws) I feel as though Jang Cheon is not trying to specifically lead Serin on or manipulate others as some comments have said. When Serin asked him out on the secret date, she asks if he views her as a woman. Of course, even if JC trully doesn't view her like that he can't outright say it. Then he would come across as rude and cold. So while he says he does view her as a woman it seems he is trying to let her down slowly by showing his interest in other girls instead of breaking her heart.
Another point I would like to bring out is the timing. People accuse JC of "trying to break up MSG Couple". And I don't think this is entirely true. We see via the signals at the end of each day that JC was originally attracted to Seo JiHye. However after their date, JC said she wasn't really emotionally his type. I don't remember exactly but I do believe that on the signal sending either that night or the night after JC sends his signal to BYK. He then continues to send her the signal every time if my memory serves me correctly (He might have sent one to Ara when she first came but I cannot remember). I was troubled when JooWon was getting kinda split from YoonKyoung as I felt Jang Cheong wasn't being exactly fair so I explained the situation to my friend and my brother. They both said that personally as members of the show if you had only gone on two dates, while they would still pursue her depending on what they were seeing, they would not be angry at their counterpart.
I know it doesn't count for much, but I just wanted to chip in my opinion. It's fine if you don't like it as I can understand why people would be pissed at Jang Cheong. If you actually read this whole thing, thank you.
