I actually think twice's korean title tracks are pretty catchy and memorable. definitely prefer them to all of their japanese songs thus far

whew, so I finally had the time to sit down today and write more at length about my speculations regarding this plethora of music products we'll be fed all year round first of all, jesus 4 mini albums in a single year?? and seemingly very well thought out at that too? never could've seen that coming in a million years; rbw is stepping up their game! paint me turns out to be a pivotal point in their music career just like what hwasa has said indeed. I don't know how many easter eggs they hid in the mv, but my interpretation is this: so the order in which each member first appeared right at the beginning is hwasa - solar - wheein - moonbyul right? that order continued to stay the same at the second half mark @ 2:02 with background images that allude to hwasa - spring, solar - summer, wheein - autumn, moonbyul - winter, which a tweet previously pointed out. the more i think about it, the more it makes sense: flowers (hwa) blooming is the essence of spring, the sun (solar) shining bright can only mean summer, winds (hwi/whee) blowing signals season-changing breezes in autumn, and stars (byul) can only be observed in the night sky and the darkest season of the year is winter. so my guess is that each mini album will be released in each quarter/season in the aforementioned order, with the mini album centred on moonbyul to be release somewhere in december to round off the year and this interlinked series. also, notice the warm, vigorous, and very nature-inspired vibe in the first teaser images for yellow flower? I don't know about you guys, but that was a thing that caught my attention right away. if we link it to this theory of the seasons, then everything just clicks - they obviously want to evoke the feeling of spring and the liveliness that comes with it in this first mini album. that means we could probably expect at least 3 other mvs that are also season-appropriate-and-inspired to follow in the next albums? I don't know how much weight this theory holds but it's just nice to predict what's possible to expect in the future. and if it turns out to be credible then I have to hand it to rbw this time; they're never done better planning than this I remember wheein was making subtle jabs at their company's planning department responsible for their crappy concepts (not exactly her words but it's what she meant anyway ) in the old-ajummas skit in moonbyul's radio vlive for january; it's great to see that they've addressed this problem internally and actually put in a super huge amount of work to prepare for a fruitful and meaningful 2018 I'm tingling with excitement; never before have I been more hyped for a kpop product than this

contrary to the opinions of most people who like to shit on idols just for the sake of being edgy, I think the talents pool in kpop hasn't really shrunk or decreased at all. idols aren't getting any less talented than how they used to be, say, 10 years ago, or even further back. you have the standouts in every generation, and this current gen has its fair share of idols who can shine on stage in one way or another. you can't cherry pick a few ones who are more known for their visuals or variety skills or other strengths and say that this whole gen is a downgrade from the last. I've seen a lot of current groups with great stage presence through either charisma, or dancing, or singing, or connecting with the audience etc. which are all legitimate talents that an idol can hope to achieve. I mean it's not like 2nd gen was full of talented idols in every group..

goodness me also this is kinda a dumb observation haha, but notice moonbyul's thin strand of hair that's accidentally stuck onto solar's? I can't help but make the association in my head between it and the visualisation of the 'red string of fate', like there's a tangible line of bond always connecting these two soulmates and tying them to each other loll OTL i know i know, that's pretty far fetched but unfortunately I was born that corny, what can I do? ^^' they just look so cool and so good together
