#justiceForApink they even made chorong cry these fckers!!!!

couldn't they take 1 or 2 minutes from the bgs who performed 156451 songs and give it to them? seriously

Exactly. Female idols have and always will be seen as second class in the industry and will be treated like it, just like Mamamoo at MMA being a top top girl group and getting treated like trash.

Now Apink veterans and legends can't even be given a 5 minute stage. Girl groups get tossed 5-6 minutes at best no matter how successful they are they are given timeslots similar to BG's who many of them haven't even had a top 50 hit. It's completely unfair.

Is there proof that shareholders are the ones doing this?

I don't stan either group, I'm asking as a curious third party because that seems unprofessional as hell.

No, it's basically 1 guy who runs a blog who is alleged to own some JYPE stock. It's just an individual guy-he's not Korean and not directly affiliated with any fandom afaik he just owns some JYPE stock.

  3. Cos its xmas I only got to see Fancy rock version and a lil bit of DTNA x YOY so cant say much.

But I was shook by that Fancy stage. The live rock band, the intro and the outfits were top draw.

I'll check out the rest tmr prolly and catch up.

We don't know for sure but while she rehearsing to perform Speechless, she fell from the stage. Apparently she was supposed to go down some stairs but they weren't there and since it was dark she couldn't see and fell. Now this was not confirmed but yeah...

I don't know how accurate it is as Koreaboo has put out wrong info before based on sloppy and bad translation but this is what they are saying.

    Koreaboo Article

During the rehearsals for her individual performance on SBS Gayo Daejeon, Wendy fell off the stage. Wendy was immediately transferred to the hospital for a thorough examination and it was revealed she suffered injuries to her face, as well as a breaks in her right pelvis and her right wrist.

Right now, Wendy is waiting for additional examinations after receiving preliminary emergency treatment at the hospital. We plan to focus solely on treatment, as the artist’s health is our top priority. We will let fans know about Red Velvet’s future schedules as soon as we organize them.

Actually, it can. Racism is defined as the structural oppression of a minority group. Saying that “just because they’re offended doesn’t mean it’s racist” makes you seem like you know more about the oppression experience by a marginalized group than that group themselves.

If a large group of people from a marginalized population say something is racist, then it is. Why? Because only people from that group have experienced the oppression that pertains to them. Saying otherwise is also racist because you’re inherently discrediting the idea that marginalized groups are capable of understanding and recognizing their own experiences.

is the mask racist? I don’t know. But if a large group of black people find it racist, then it is, and questioning that is racist because you’re inherently questioning black people’s abilities to recognize and understand heir own experiences and oppression. Like who are you to question the experiences of a group you don’t belong to?

the whole POINT here is that the only people who have a right to call something racist or not are people who belong to a marginalized group. This seems extreme? It isn’t, it’s logical. Only people who belong to a oppressed and marginalized group, have had the experiences of such oppression to be able to recognize it.

Offensive does NOT mean racist. Thats not what I’m saying btw. But I’m saying if a large group of black people find it racist, or are offended, then yes it IS a racist because obviously they feel offended for a reason - because it reminds them of oppression they have faced to some degree. And we have no right to question that.

OP, I see your points, they’re valid ones. And you can always ask questions. I can’t answer it based on my own knowledge. I think it was offensive because it seemed to be making fun of the mask since nobody else was wearing one, like why wear that mask and why then when nobody else was? Idk about racist but the mask is definitely offensive.

I get all your points and I can understand them, but being offended doesn't make it racist, especially when its a contentious point. Many black people completely disagree with it being racist at all. I said before it's a caricature that plays up to 0 racial stereotypes or any attempt to make 'black' features stand out in a negative way as we've seen from cartoons and mask in the past that have been racist.

I mean this is stylizing the features of an individual and not in anyway attacking, mocking, trivializing, oppressing any race whatsoever. I mean just because something is offensive to a bunch of people doesn't make it racist.

I'll ask again, if any for of stylization or caricaturing of Black people is racist should artist who do this kind of thing at the beach, high street, fairs, carnivals, etc just reject and refuse custom from all black people? That seems to be the case. I've seen people at cons who do these kind of quick sculpts like this too and it's  incredible....if a black guy comes up and wants it done should he be turned away?

I mean what if that black guy post the picture or sculpt online and a loud mob on Twitter start calling them racist and bigots? Whats the solution? Just completely exclude black people from this type of cartooning? Once upon a time a medium similar to this was used to abuse and mock black poeple-we all get that, but this mask isn't doing that at all.

Just because something offends a person doesn't mean that person can label it racist and if the best argument they have for i being racist is 'a bunch of us are offended' well okay but by that token a bunch of black people are also not offended by it.

a caricature of a black man is racist for the sole reason that black features have been made fun of and deemed as ugly throughout history.... is this a question we really gotta ask now?

That would be true if that was what was happening. But you can quite clearly see that's not close to the case at all in the mask and the people calling it racist are ignoring that and acting like it's some Tintin level black face going on.

What is actually happening is a celebrity mask playing up the features of that individual. The over stated features on this mask are really his teeth and enormous smile  and a little button nose which he is know for. They don't play up any of the old racist stereotypes or tropes like big pink lips, a huge squashed flat nose, etc if that was what was happening then it would of course be racist but it's not.

It's playing up Tigers features, not playing into a black face negative stereotype. So because Tiger is Black any cartoon or characterization of him is racist? How's that work? Does this mean all caricaturing is racist and indeed those artist busking or at fairs, etc should refuse black peoples custom in fear of being labelled a bigot?

I mean it's seem reversed if honest.

You don’t get to dictate that either. It was indeed racially insensitive since so many ppl from a said race were offended. And pointing out other race masks exists is absolutely the wrong argument to make. Different races have different experiences. This sort of caricature has deep rooted racial significance esp for the black community. If I saw this mask amidst a bunch of other ones I would never be dumb enough to buy it.

so yes if some one says they find it racist, that’s completely their prerogative.

It might be their prerogative, but that still doesnt make it racist.

A pretty silly question. You don’t get to dictate if someone should or shouldn’t be offended.

If a Black person saw that mask and felt offended thats their prerogative. You don’t get to ask “hey look at all these other celeb masks” in fact that’s the stupidest argument I have heard.

Being offended doesnt make it racist tho.

  9. So they have passed 8m which is interesting. First and only GG in Kpop to do that I think?

The interesting part however is Twice have earned more than 2.5m sales for the last 2 years so it's safe enough to assume they will earn another 2m sale next year since JYPE claims they have a packed schedule and we already know we're getting a repack in Feb' so they intend to start selling early...it's most likely Twice will pass 10m sales before 2020 is even over.

8 Million albums in less than 5 years. Literally other groups with 12-15 year long careers aren't near that and even some girl groups from the 1990's where physical was the only ay to buy have been selling albums for 20 years and still not passed that mark. Seriously proud of Twice.

I don't understand those numbers but BTS and Twice are the top kpop groups in Japan, as expected.

Kingpuri sells much better than I expected, only behind Arashi and Nogizaka46, that's impressive.

The numbers are basically earnings from sales of digital and physical music on Oricon in Japan(so not all sales-just most of them) Represented in BN of Yen.

So roughly 5.196 for Twice is about 47.5m Dollars and BTS is about 47.3m Dollars. So both earned more than 50m Dollars in albums and digital music alone in Japan this year if we consider BB shipments too. Which is really amazing. Most Kpop groups wont earn that amount in an entire career never mind 1 year in 1 country.

I'm not sure about BTS but for Twice in merch, DVDs and concert tickets Twice probably earned more the 100m for JYPE in Japan alone this year. I hope the distribution between Jype, Warner and Twice is fair. They deserved to be paid the big big bucks after 2018 and 2019.

yes or yes didn't get roof hit? it had paks tho :0

wow this is amazing rv prove all the haters wrong everyone was too harsh on them and invalidating them just because we have too much of a high expectation on ggs and expect every cb to be a digital smash. now they prove everyone wrong last minute when the year is pretty much over lol

    Well done to RV.

But to explain a song can get Raks and Paks and still no proof hit since they arent really related, if I'm not mistaken for example Solo got a roof hit but no Paks and so did DTNA git a roof hit but no Pak.

RH really are determined by the percentage of streams you get in an hour vs the other charted songs. So it's very possible to have 1 without the other.

Uhhhh BP should be #1... All their songs except KTL have AKed/PAKed...

Hasn't they only had two songs get a PAK Whistle and Du Ddu Du Ddu? As if it's your last and Playing with Fire disnt right?

Not sure if counted but Melon list them as title tracks and Boombayah nor Stay did either.

    To OP.

Twice, obviously. They have the most Pak, most 2.5m dl, most 100m streaming and the most number 1s.

Red Velvet, have a lot if success on the charts and were spotty for a few comebacks but other than that have been very very strong.

Mamamoo and Blackpink. Too hard to decide. Both have successful songs and both have good solos. Really tough to pick.

Gfriend, while they have fell off a bit recently none of the new groups are 5% close to them at their peak digitally. So still up near the top.

Apink, have had higher peaks than anyone not already above them on the list and continue to out chart most newer groups.

Probably need more to judge the likes of Itzy, Idle and Izone but I think they are already ahead of OMG, Lovelyz and maybe AoA. Need a year more I think to know esp for Itzy.

do you know that those accounts are fake the ones posted by Koreaboo?  He didn't make an article about K-onces. smh

No, the fake accounts in those few SS were only made to deflect. Go to the actual IG post and see nearly 40k comments of which most are spamming bully hashtags and abusing Twice.

The people who made a few phoney accounts to make it look like Once need to do better as Once sure as hell ain't making countless thousands of accounts to like, retweet and comment hate and false allegations all over Twitter and IG.

So stop with that narrative. It's already shown itself to be false and the ever growing comment section on both of Chaengs latest post contradict those 2 screen shots BP have.

Which only prove btw that they are burned accounts. Tonnes of those current accounts are Blink and are saying stuff about mental health, bullying and even sending death threats and wishing rape and suicide upon the girls and Once and a few other fandoms are trying to spam heart and likes to hide them from the members.

This is what happens numpties see 1 thing, dont research and spread false shit and folk just believe it. Crazy.

Once ain't making 40k post. We couldnt even trend out own protect hashtag so stop that noise and think next time before you pinch a loaf and call it an argument.

Of those 50 once in group chat thay have screen shots of comments from less than 10 users yet and entire fandom is being targeted and bullied for less than 0.1% of our fandoms actions, who we dont support and who already closed the GC and said sorry...why is Chaeng being abused.

  14. The way some of the users are justifying the rape threats and suicide wishes under the Koreaboo article is so vile but so typical. A group chat with a out 50 total users of which they have screenshots of less than 10 and yet they are en masse in their thousands posting hate comments to people who had nothing to do with it.

Do you think Once or Twice support this? I dont understand why they went from we want and apology, but after getting one, it has just turned to straight relentless abuse. Disgusting.
