Has anyone read Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and is it good/worth reading? I'm planning on reading the book before I watch the show.
Yes, its definitely worth a read.

I truly understand the meaning "when one door closes, another one opens", and I can see that some changes lead to positive thing happening. But I'm so fucking mad at some decisions I made that last day. I should just have told the guy that I found him nice - but that's it - and gone with the girls. He followed me like a lost puppy, and I did not find him physically attractive. I WASTED MY WHOLE NIGHT BECAUSE I WAS BEING "NICE". UGH. LIKE there was so much things that happened that I didn't get to experience because I WAS AFRAID TO HURT A STRANGERS "FEELINGS".
Now I'm wasting my time on "what ifs" that won't DO SHIT.

This "feeling-are-more-important-than-facts-and-science" movement on the far left needs to die out. It's damaging and regressive - not progressive.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find Jin all that attractive. I mean, technically, he has an aesthetically pleasing face. But to me he's just a big goofball who tells corny jokes. I don't find him sexy AT ALL.
I agree. He is good looking but I don't find him attractive in that way.

The most classic one is Gabriel Garcia Marquez if you haven't read his work, Love in the Times of Cholera and 100 Years of Solitude are his masterpieces if you wanna get into those.
Other than that I really like Roberto Bolano (Chilean) who writes some pretty mystifying stuff and Mario Vargas Llosa (Peruvian) who has some amazing novels about the political climate in Peru. If you're into poetry Pablo Neruda (Chilean) is a must.
You'll probably hear a lot about Isabel Allende (Chilean) but personally I think she's highly overrated.
My Sweet Orange Tree by José Mauro de Vasconcelos and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho are two well known books from Latin American authors.
I personally haven't read either of them. The Alchemist is one of my mother's favourite books and My Sweet Orange Tree's impact was well explained during the IU-Zeze controversy. Both are acclaimed pieces of literature (from what I have heard) so I think they're worth checking out.
Thank you. I'll look into the recommendations

I'm so disgusted by how some "fans" behave.

I'm really shocked how far some people are willing to go only to spread hate. SMH
