the group then needs to appeal to the kpop fans witch is difficult to do while covering akb48 songs in korean. if its really true that its five year contract then they also most likely will be adding new gens for this group after pd48 so at the end most of the members will be korean.

other countries maybe but japanese general public is over 48 groups and japanese 48 fans are mostly akgae fans and thats how the aks milks them during the election season and other reason 48 groups still sell well is local pride since they attach a city to each group and create competition between all groups and their stans, how many girls from each group rank in the election and how high they rank, how much do different 48 group sell ect. apparently mnet denied it on twitter or something, i saw it on pd48 discord

it really depends on how many trainees they are sending since nothing is confirmed yet but if you look at pd48 as just another international 48 sister group then its because every international sister group get few transfer members from japan to teach them how stuff work in the group and to be the leaders of some sort. But since everyone else in pd48 had to compete for their place fans would be pretty pissed if they just added couple of japanese members to the final line up before the debut without having to compete for those spots.

i hardly doubt that pd48 is debuting in japan and mnet denied the whole japanese vote for koreans and vice versa

yeah that could work. someone who is 14-15 so that if they make the final line up when the contract is over they would be around 19-20 and ready to be debuted in a jyp gg. the people who are likely to join from japan 48 groups are the ones who have nothing to lose aka the ones who ranked under 80 out of 100 and the ones who failed to rank at all and either are very new to the groups and need some publicity to gain fans or the older members who have never gained any attention and this is their last chance to gain fans and hopefully rank somewhere in the next akb48 senbatsu election .

everything about pd48 is only rumors , some people in that list aperently denied that they are participating . Also i don't see why jyp would send trainees that he's going to debut in 2019 to a show where if you win you would be in a 5 year contract. Even if they are allowed to promote in other group, their contract would be similar to what aks has with the members of the 48 group in japan who are also signed with another agency for their outside work where the 48 group takes priority and that means they could potentially pull the girls out of promoting their work outside the group to promote something related to the group just like that.
