if this is true i really feel for him its not going to be easy for him but it also explains why they kept his ethnicity for themselves instead of mentioning it in ygtb but nothing stays hidden forever so they must have some sort of plan for this happening ( not the bullying rumours but people finding out he is zainichi)

you don't have to be fluent in a language just because its where your parents are from there so if he was 1st gen aka his parents moved to japan recently and he was just born there he could only know a little. I know multiple people myself included who can only understand our parents language but not speak it but it doesn't make sense why he would say he is japanese then so the zainichi korean sounds more likely but even then why not mention it

a lot zainichi koreans identify as north koreans because their ancestors came from that area. Actually most korean schools in japan are run by an organisation tied with the north korean government

one reason why they could be hiding his ethnicity is that his family does not identify as south koreans but north koreans but him having a south korean flag on his teakwondo uniform potentially debunks that theory

i feel like the best for Yoshi is clarify the ethnicity and nationality rumours as quick as possible before they spread and get twisted too much

Im seeing a lot of prdebut pics of Yoshi, it does seem like he is zainichi so yg really needs to make a statement about that now before it escalates into something very ugly and very nationalistic.

the Yoshi thing could blow up to be very big. It definitely needs to be clarified by yg. If he really is zainichi korean then it probably is better to just say it if they deny it and it later comes out as true then he will definetly receive backlash from both japan and korea for different reasons.

he definetly could be a zainichi korean and keeping it a secret. You wont find many if any big celebrity in japan that will admit to being zainichi korean and considering all the japanese members of kpop groups will most likely have to comeback to japan and start their solo careers there instead of korea, keeping being zainichi korean a secret could be beneficial for him in the long run if he is a zainichi korean that is but a 3rd generation zainichi korean would not go by his korean name if he went to a normal japanese school (or even have a korean name, if his parents or grandparents are naturalised then he probably doesn't even have a korean name) so the story about the bullying would still be false even if he was a zainichi korean

i think it would be good if someone were to do that, the comments on that thread are disheartening they are taking all those rumours as truth
