  4. happy birthday choi seunghyun! much love from all the fans. enjoy the next decade of your life yay! from a vip until whenever
  5. i'm still so salty i didn't get to see taeyang live. i'm glad you got to see the best of both worlds!
  6. rant about mis chingus pt 2 well yesterday i was at lunch w two of my friends and a classmate came over saying that she'd heard of bts. of course friend 1 hyperventilates w excitement but when the classmate says she likes exo too, friend 1 deflates. (friend 1 says she doesn't like exo because she doesn't like growl or monster... ok. friend two says she doesn't like exo too because they're famous in china... ok.) then my classmate asks us what we listen to and i say a bit of everything, i guess, because it's true, and friend 1 says the same thing: "i listen to everything too!" woman what kind of bs?! she doesn't even know all the members of any group except her own... who's chanyeol, she asks? never mind some other group. jesus. she's heard of bigbang and day6 because i'm a fan and friend 2 is a day6 fan, and twice/snsd/blackpink (friend 1 is also a blackpink fan), but that's. literally. it. when i first talked to her about kpop a month or two ago, she didn't know who 2ne1 was. never mind listened to them. bro how you saying you listen to "everything" when you a nugu ass who don't know anyone besides your own bias group? then she says, "we can talk about any group you like!" and i went, "urban zakapa?" she says she likes their songs, i ask her to name one, and she closes her mouth aigoo i think i'm done.
  7. that's very true. at first i was really excited to have a new kpop fan and tried to introduce her to other artists i thought were similar to day6 but i guess she just needs her space, and that's ok.
  8. a lot of my school friends that are into kpop are armys. that's not what bothers me as that's how popularity works, but what does tick me off is that they refuse to go further than bts and that they won't stop talking about bts to me. whenever i try to recommend songs not sung by bts, i get brushed off as irrelevant. i mean, i was on spotify and orange caramel came up and my friend looked over and said something along the lines of, "wow! thats so early 2000s." and i asked her if that was bad, and she responded that of course it was. and this is the same girl who talks about being "international" and moving to korea and asks me what salty is in korean after i said i was salty about some irrelevant thing. at this point i never even mention what i listen to or who i like. bolbbalgan4? they don't even know who tvxq are. i just listen to them gush about their faves and the albums they bought but don't have a cd player to play it in. someone i know recently got into day6, and that's it. that was literally it: she refuses to listen to more than day6, and she's memorizing all the korean lyrics so she can sing to their songs endlessly. i ask her why she won't explore more, and she says that it's because she feels she needs to be loyal... so damn. i feel frustrated because i want to bond with people over urban zakapa, but instead i have to listen my friends talk about the aesthetic of bts music videos. this honestly sounds like a bash, but if it were any other group it'd be the same. i wish that they'd realize that being more open minded doesn't make them less of a fan, and that just because the music isn't what you usually listen to doesn't mean it's bad.
  9. gikwang, sunmi, and bap take me votes also @ iu's song from march being on here wha-
  10. its 3 am right now for me and i am legitimately screaming
  11. inkigayo (+ more music shows hopefully), i live alone, fantastic duo iirc, and knowing brothers! i feel blessed.
  12. hello all~ i've never posted in the shinee mt although i do lurk religiously, but today i feel slightly obligated to post here after hearing about jinki. my ultimate bias group is bigbang, and as some of you might know top was a recently involved in a serious marijuana scandal and went to court for his crime. it is always surprisingly difficult when the idols whom we adore turn out to be human, make mistakes, and are occasionally pieces of shit. the disappointment is surprisingly personal and bitter. and it is too difficult to try and not to come to misguided conclusions when the full picture has yet to come to light. honestly, the worst thing about scandals is waking up to floods of people who have never taken one second to interest themselves in your bias group writing not only horrible but blatantly untrue things about the situation. i was furious at these pieces of shit who would write things saying that top should kill himself, or that he was the one who had bought and distributed the marijuana. uncertainty is never a good feeling. will the company stand behind him? will the company stand behind the group? and will the public forgive, and forget? is my bias actually kind of a womanizing jerk? what will the future look like? some of these questions might never be fully answered, but the best thing i can say to all of you lovely souls is that onew deserves your unwavering faith right now, and so does shinee. they have done nothing but been exemplary role models in an industry sorely in need of them. as fans, all we really can do is wait. be calm, try not to cry, and have faith. fighting~
  13. i'm so excited for youngbae on i live alone! i remember seeing zion t on it and he was hilarious
  14. hello and welcome. i will welcome you with some seungri gifs~
  15. does anyone know what the teaser schedule for taeyang might look like? i think it's gone image-video-image the last couple of days, but there's no way he could keep that alternating route up till the sixteenth.
  16. as the reason why gd most likely isn't going to get a daesang this year? well, it's true: he didn't promote. and promotion- just the fact of being on television and having people see you and listen to your song- helps performance and overall longevity. but it was never a commercial album to begin with, so perhaps it was best that way.
  17. i am a flop fan for just having heard this playing in a bigbang crack video. it's so beautiful what the fuck
  18. i been w my feels lately too, so i went and watched mama 2015
  19. maybe i'm just a twat who can't appreciate good music, but i've disliked all the title tracks put out by red velvet, exo, blackpink, bts, twice, snsd, iu, nct, mamamoo, ikon, and apink this year. which basically only leaves winner and g-dragon as the more than tolerable releases, and that makes me sad. now with the release of wanna one's energetic, i've lost hope. i can't remember what i just forced myself to listen to, even though the entire song was essentially a chorus with a few lines of rap because the group has... rappers? nothing is memorable, or it's memorable in a bad way. i hate myself. i feel like i'm yg biased because there's no way around it: gd, winner, and akmu leave me solidly in yg territory, but i usually like sm a lot as well. i've never been not in love with an exo title track before kokobop, but now i've considerably unstanned them (but not all the way, because they're exo) because not only do i hate the title track, i dislike the album as well... i guess i'm holding out for shinee now. some of the songs i've listened to this year have been the worst songs i've ever heard in my life. signal and cherry bomb, oh my. the amount of hate i hold in my dear heart for those two poor songs is unbelievable.
  20. i want top to give us oh mom 2.0 i need it
