Korean ballads are an absolute snoozefest, I don't understand how these things always top the charts and sell so much. Without even listening to one, I can guarantee you it starts with a lonely piano, and then some singer starts whispering for a few seconds add the drum beat and then at the climax there's some overdramatic strings, the singer starts yelling at the top of their lungs and it's over. They all follow the same formula and there are like 2 or 3 k-ballads I find interesting and that's only because the singer has a nice voice.
