I listened to 'western' music most of my life so when I discovered kpop of course it was because it sounded completely different. I became in it for the "bubble gum" / poppish music... the tragic colorful outfits.. .the aegyo... anything cringy and everything Kpop that contributes to Korean culture. It was my private getaway. Sometimes I feel Kpop is getting too mainstream. I guess there is mixed feelings. In a way I want my Kpop to stay "my own thing" but on the other hand... it is music... and music is to be shared with others around the world. Just as long as my favs "don't sell out" just to please a certain audience. But.. they never have so I'm confident it'll stay that way. With RV I feel they are just being themselves, spreading their music and people are recognizing them. Instead of the other way around shoving it in peoples faces. (if that makes any sense)

I guess with the impact of bts and others doing NA/U.S. tours or release a "english ver." people assume everyone is trying to 'break into" the U.S. market. I just think the timing is right now for a lot of Kpop artists to make such a move cuz U.S. music industry is not as afraid as before to give Kpop a chance. RV has never really compromised just how you said "to please ppl by changing their approach". It's what I love about them. Their 'quirky' music and style has not changed since debut

tbh I don't really care about japan promo. Japan is not what it used to be as far as the hallyu wave. It's kind of shifting to the U.S. And even that... the girls themselves said they don't have plans to break into the U.S. (regarding their recent U.S. tour). It's only the fact they want to meet more fans. and I'm sure it's the same with Japan and any other part of the world. I think their main focus should always be Korea.

well.. as I always say... i don't really care when they comeback. I just look forward to new music bts is scheduled for April as well as Chen's solo debut. if twice is also in april that's gonna be a busy month. I doubt they will comeback that soon anyway. but.. you never know... their comebacks are usually sudden.
