Does anyone know if you order 2 finale copies from sm global shop they will send a "green" and "pink" version?  I've ordered from them before but when I ordered my Taeyeon albums they had a drop-down menu where I could pick "white or "red" version for her albums.  I don't see that for Red Velvet "finale"?  Only see how many I want to buy etc.

I really hope SM takes some new measures to address their artists mental health and well being. Especially for Yeri who is always the target of ridiculous hate comments. I can’t even imagine how any of the girls are feeling right now, to not only experience 1 but 2 deaths in their company. My heart dropped reading the news regarding Sulli. Absolutely heartbreaking.  I just hope RV take as long as they need and don’t feel rushed to comeback. Their health and well being will always come first. 

I'm sure everyone is trying to deal with it the best they can.

Reminds me when Wendy went to Sulli's pop-up store grand opening.  And she said how she wanted to get closer to Sulli. They are same age etc.

It seems random to me to suddenly end the series with a full album. I thought maybe they could combine all 3 parts like SHINee did but I don't think that would be cohesive...Day 1 and Day 2 are already so different!

It doesn't seem that odd to me they would release a full album.  It is considered a FINALE... so why not finish big?   But... even if it's still another mini.  I don't mind. 

are you talking about the packaging? I haven't seen shinees albums. well.. the RV day 1 and day 2 do have similar packaging.. but I don't think they will do any kind of combined theme by the way the spine on the albums look alone.

I think the comeback will happen early November - last week of October at the earliest and around the 19th November at the latest. Mainly because after the 19th November, SuperM's tour has a massive break until February. I assume this is where NCT (probably 127) and EXO will have their comebacks. 

It'll be interesting to see how SM fits all of this in to three months. Especially since Red Velvet, NCT, EXO, Super Junior and Taeyeon are supposedly releasing full albums which most likely means a repackage as well. 

This is why I also think the "full album" quote from SM was a misunderstanding. Seems like too much in a short space. 

i agree on Oct. is not happening.  that leaked sm schedule was pretty accurate as far as who is coming back.  but instead of chen, taeyeon, and rv in sept. they seem to make cb in Oct. or later.  I think it's possible RV will tease the last week of Oct. and maybe cb early Nov... I don't think will do music shows very long.  probably 2 weeks tops.  so it's very easy to fit in 3-4 sm artists in a month.  taeyeon might not even go on shows.  and exo probably only 1 week.  pretty much all sm artists are past the 'exposure needed' phase so promoting on these shows for long period is not necessary any more.  even nct is getting past that phase.

yeah.. individually we will have lot of content in the coming months!!  Taeyeon comeback and Baek with EXO and SuperM!

i'm not surprised.  they had a long tour.  that's where the money is.  i wish fans could be more supportive when it comes to touring.  most western artists would release a new album.. and just tour for the whole year.  but in kpop you can't do that or fans would complain.  think the only one who could get away with it was bigbang.  they would promote for maybe one week then just tour the whole year.  but kpop fans won't like that with their faves.  they rather see them on weekly music shows like show champion for 6 weeks, variety shows, radio shows, etc.  cuz they think it's better promoting even tho no one earns any money doing it

yeah... I remember when people use to ask why sm mvs views aren't as high as some other artists and would say it's because they mainly appeal only to Asia audience while others like bp, twice, bts, yg artists etc. appeal to a more 'western/international' audience (who use youtube more). Lol. I knew some companies were doing something like paying for views but never exposed.  I think in the future we will see more realistic view count for everyone.  cuz some of those numbers for some MVs are ridiculously high.

I guess we'll see if it changes anything.  while it's probably not illegal I think it's unfair companies uses ads to count as a "view".  as far as MVs is concerned.

watched the boy william interview... thought he was a good host. I liked how he tried to make them comfortable and not awkward.  also joining in like how he did aegyo with wendy.

anyway... I love how Wendy answered about the topic on competition in Kpop and how she said they don't really concern themselves with that.  What they are more concern about is their own path as red velvet etc.  If only all kpop fans could think like that.  Like I don't concern myself with how or what other kpop groups are doing compared to my faves.  What's more important is how my faves are growing as people and kpop artist.  Each year and comeback RV exceeds themselves and continue to grow.  4-5 yrs ago they were so green but now they are more experienced and have accomplished so much.

july is so far.... we went from 3 comebacks per year to none in the first half of the year. Specially if they release another summer album, can't SM at least release it mid-June. Then add a repack to it.

 

 

and I'll still be waiting for The Velvet Winter one day lol

that's not unusual tho... you have to realize... they give up something but replace it with something.  Most "older" groups will only have 1 or 2 comebacks a year and then tour rest of the year, more oversea activities...  and/or do more individual activities.  

Same person who posts about investor and financial reports of sm. Take it with a grain of salt

I didn’t mean releasing a song that literally sounds like PU but rather rehashing the same theme. PU was really on the nose with the whole ‘sun! Heat! Summer!’ and that affected the longevity of the song. I don’t want them to release another fruit concept song or another song tailored to summer because just why? That ship has already sailed. We had RF and then PU. Another one would be too much and almost lazy

 

 

Anyway, looks like SM is following a western release pattern with NCT since they’re releasing May 24. RV might comeback before them. I had originally thought NCT would be either first two weeks of May then RV last two weeks but I hope it’s switched

I think we should look out for an announcement next week. If we don’t get one by next Saturday then they’ll come back after NCT, in June

I see.  well.... personally I don't mind if they do or not   I think the colors and fruits are a part of red velvet now.  Just the same as EXO is with their super powers.  They don't always make references to it.. only every so often.

hmm.. I think nct is only starting their promotions in U.S.  I'm sure they will return to Korea to promote.  it's kind of like when bts debut their new song on SNL but now they are back in Korea.  Are you sure you didn't mean April 24? May 24 is a month away.. that's a long time until release

The only reason for me why i'm dreading another summer comeback or another red comeback is because we might get another concert setlist like redmare and much as I enjoyed the concert I honestly feel like it's time for their velvet side to shine more on their concerts especially if they're gonna start adding north america/europe in their tours where fans prefer velvet songs more

I mean.. everyone has personal taste.  but generally speaking I think people want uptempo songs... especially at a tour/concerts.  Bad Boy is kind of the exception cuz it's fun and sexy.  but from all the rv concerts i've attended whenever the velvet songs kick in I notice the mood kind of drops.  And people look like they are just waiting for it to be over.  Idk how to explain but some songs are good to listen only on speakers but not necessarily on stage.

I would honestly sacrifice going to another totally red concert towards the end of the year with maybe one velvet song or even none than have a velvet comeback at the peak summer comeback time.

would have to agree with this... unless it's a fun type velvet song like 'bad boy'.  a lot of the velvet songs imo sound depressing  

It will be pretty hard to recreate RF’s impact and success so I hope SM doesn’t release PU 2.0 cause that would be tragic

RV has never had a 2.0 song so I don't think there's anything to worry bout there.  They always come out with something not only new from previous release but something new compared to whatever everyone else is releasing.
