don't wanna be negative but he's mostly getting roasted. I mean he is even getting articles that mock him. I have seen ONE article where he was defended tho, it was a small post but it has 2 upvotes and 3 downvotes. I REALLY HOPE HE TURNS THIS SITUATION AROUND SOMEHOW

to be frank i have no idea.. i'll face the facts. His ability is pretty similar to cube trainees with experience of 6 months, we don'tt even know if he has improved due to lack of screentime. Idk how his company trains him but his experience of two years doesn't show in his ability. Maybe his definition of "work hard" falls short compared to other trainees, i mean if trainee of 2 yrs is similar to 6 month trainees then 6 month trainees are catching up faster which also mean they work harder. But that doesn't mean HK doesn't work hard and gives people no right to slander him.

uhh I think something like "it's important to work hard but it's also important others should feel you've work hard". I think what he meant was HK works hard to his ability but people's limits are different so if others work harder than HK even tho HK works hard too, people won't feel that he has worked hard enough

reading again about Haknyeon's personality has made me understand this situation a bit more. honestly, this is how 18 year olds should act. But this is also perfect for broadcast for drama since they pick certain lines to air so they'll just air which makes him look bad. Now that I that I think about it, in the mission box video didn't he say something like " haha you can't speak, do you envy me right?" to baejin? At that time I loved how mischievous he was and showed us a different side. And when he messed with Guanlin too.If mnet air these im pretty sure they would leave out the part where he tried to promote baejin. They even cut the video short what a bishh. Boy, who would think that these little actions would come to haunt us when the fans loved it. Pheww*sigh

Exactly. There is as strong contrast with black and white which made him very visible just like others that had the same. At the ending pose, he exposed his white shirt more compared to others,and since he is in front, the reflection of the light made him even more visible just like how your eyes will catch a person wearing a white shirt when everyone wears black.

Never expected to fall into pd 101 this bad. I can't believe reading hate comments have actually affected how I feel these past few days and it's not even about me.. I am really sad to the point to tears falling ,reading the comments, Imagine how bad HK must feel. I wonder how k-fans are taking in the situation right now though, although I think they are purposely staying quiet to let this shush down. There was even a pann where they say HK should do a solo debut since he is selfish and greedy and fans can buy his solo stuff and everything will be a happy ending?? But HK is in a bad place in pann *sighsighsigh HK is my first pick but I was a fan of a lot of people and now it's getting harder to enjoy good news for others as well. Even seeing daehwi, cube trainees and ha sungwoon, ong can no longer make me feel better. +it's not HK fault Yongguk has no stage presence tbh. And the ending shot taken in a lower angle from HK's side compared to the rehearsal stage. Also Yongguk's clothing didn't help. His inner shirt was dark and his suit was black making him look even invisible. Even daniel looked small to me with his outfit but his light hair, his aura, and his lines made him shine a lot. At this point people are just finding small details to tear him apart.

I really hope HK will turn this situation around somehow, at this point idk how he can redeem himself. If he debuts rn he might get more hate, but the show is coming to an end and i don't want him to be known as the hated trainee without a chance for redemption. i was just about to post this too. be warned the comments are toxic.

Yeah i've been a long time kpop fan too but i don't usually stan them. The ones I stan are Rapmon, Haechan, Haknyeon and it seems all of them got hated somehow. Or maybe it's just me wanting to protect them after seeing them get hate for no reason.

hello! im also new too! just joined yesterday ^^ i love how you're so postive!! i cried myself to sleep thinking of haknyeon last night- i know im too much but i've really fallen for this boy. But as his stan the hate he gets overwhelms me too much. Sometimes I can't even look at his pictures cuz it just kinda hits me in the feels. I'm not even gonna watch the eng trans on yt because of the hate comments. I CAN'T. but well i guess years of kdrama wasn't for nothing because i understood more or less during the livestream.

and meanwhile no one talks about guanlin's mistake on stage where he couldn't follow the choreo and looks completely isolated on the right. Not trying to shade GL, i also like the byeongari twins, but the blatant hate towards HK is atrocious. The level of talent between them really isn't that different.

But tbh haknyeon didn't really do wrong anything this episode. He wanted to be center so he said he wanted to be one. It was his teammates decision on choosing the center too and they chose haknyeon. Of course after they realised HK is not good enough they changed it to Guk. What happened 'try to give everything your best and don't give up or you might regret it' HK did exactly that. But people keep on going about how yongguk has so screentime and shitting on hk just because hk is in a higher position. Even in the line distribution youngguk got like 27s of lines while hk has 7s, and call him greedy? I mean even Yongguk's vocals were not that good tbh that was probably why he didn't get to do the killing part for center too + dandong were the ones that looked like centers and they keep saying the camera is only focusing on hk.. im like what??? nothing was HK fault. He's a slow learner and he slayed on stage in the end with the help of his hyungs + I do think their visibility on stage has to do with their outfits too. The ones who had a white shirt were actually more visible if people notice? Am i the only one who thinks that? hello, a piglet here new to this forum.. I've been lurking in this thread since the start of pd101 and always have been a Haknyeon fan. I even made a twitter account to follow updates on pd101 just because of Haknyeon. The reason I finally decided to make an account on OneHallyu was because I wanted to talk about i-fans hatred towards Haknyeon. It makes me extremely sad because he is my first pick. And I feel helpless because I can't do anything about it. I don't know how I can start to make people like HK. Everytime I see hate comments on youtube I've been defending him and giving excuses, I'm honestly really tired now. If you go to youtube for 'open' you will see people are saying how his kisses and winks are disgusting and how he is such a drama queen and i can only get angry and have no good comeback and can't defend him.I used to see Haknyeon supporting comments on youtube before pd101 started airing but i can't find them at all anymore where have they gone? At least I can come to this thread where people appreciate him. May I know how many piglets are here? This is my very first comment on onehallyu, idk everything is so confusing.. I couldn't even reply to this topic the when i first made the account and was panicking, now i can but idk why too lol. But anyways please take care of me! i think i will be participating in the thread very often from now on.
