JR-EAST Not Renew NGT48 Contract

Japanese idol group NGT48 has advertising campaign for East Japan Railway Company (JR-EAST), and their contract with the railway company is about to end of March 2019. 

However, after public criticism on the idol group about their member Yamaguchi Maho's assault incident handling, JR-EAST will not renew the contract with NGT48. 

According to Japanese newspaper Nikkan Sports, JR-EAST's Niigata branch manager Imai Masato said the company does not consider to renew the contract with NGT48 right now in the company's press conference on 28 March 2019.

TBS's variety show "SUNDAY JAPON" has cancelled an appearance by SKE48 member Suda Akari on 24 March 2019. 

According to SUNDAY JAPON's explanation, it did mentioned Suda Akari will appear in the show (and talk about NGT48 member Yamaguchi Maho Assault Investigation Report), but Suda Akari did not plan to appear, from the first beginning.

I don't know....companies usually debut very young trainees , Juri signed to woollim as a trainee now and she's just one of many others there, they still could not pick her to debut later

Yena is still in izone but Yuehua is still debuting their new girl group this month. Chaewon and Eunbi can join later like Yena

I'm wondering too... even debuting in mid-level agency doesn't mean you'll be successful. Like there's 90% chances that Juri's group will end up at Weki Meki or CLC level (no offense to them, just examples), and 10% chances they'll end up Oh My Girl level (mid-popular). 0 chances to end up IZONE level or higher (Big 3). I guess it's her dream anyway so she wants to do it, but I wonder if she knows her chances of success are low. Maybe she saw IZONE and thought that she can have that... it's not happening :/

 

and not to forget, popular groups in Kpop might get paid well (though even big agencies don't always give a fair share), but do less known groups even get paid? Let's not forget the PD48 candidates were paid and it was a first, the previous seasons didn't pay the candidates. I'm pretty sure AKS made them pay. in AKB even if you're just a theater girl you still get paid a fixed amount, but in Kpop if you're not popular, I doubt agencies even pay anything. There's also that whole trainee debt thing... so anyway, I doubt there will be a lot of success or money for Juri in Kpop. but she must really love Korea that much to make this decision.

don’t get me wrong but adding yena later will hurt both her and the group. it’s not some yeonjung situation where wjsn were 4 months old, everglow will be on their third year once yena is released from her exclusive contract. let’s say everglow is not “successful†by then, adding a new member after so long doesn’t help either

on the other hand, holding sihyun and yiren back until yena can debut is also killing their hype. don’t know what yuehua is gonna do with her after izone...

Heads up, fans of Gatanee, Katomina and Ogiyuka are trying to discredit Mahohon. Even going as far as spreading fabricated pictures and rumors. They’re also trying to paint Team G members as bullies to make people diss them so that team G fans will switch against Maho. Their latest victims are Tsugumin and Kado-chan because they went to Disney while this mess hasn’t settled yet.

This 3rd partly nonsense has been dragged long enough. It reminds me of the time the 3rd party SSK committee said they were going to prove credibility by revealing the number of physical vs mobile votes of the 2017 SSK when fans were suspicious of NGT48’s votes, but this 3rd party didn’t do anything because everyone calmed down thinking it will be revealed soon then people forgot and moved on.

This exactly what AKS is doing, yet again. Make people believe something is being done until everyone loses interest and gets distracted by their own oshis. Then it’s business as usual. AKS is purposely stalling

With Mahohon using twitter likes to communicate, I went through NGT48 members past twitter likes, and that thing was an eye opener. You would assume girls such as NIII’s captain and co-captain who work and perform with many sister group members outside of NGT to like other idols tweets, but they barely like anything that isn’t about them. No wonder nobody from 48 or 46 came to their defense or took pictures with them the way some people like Sasshi did when this whole thing blew up.
