Source? Not saying you're lying or anything, but how do you know they're going to comeback with different people each time? What if this is it?
There is an article on naver about their CB. But it was kinda vague I tried my best to translate it. So if what I translated was wrong (since I'm still learning), please do inform me. Plus the new official RGP twitter account started following the others who won't be included in this CB.
-
Okay so to clear things up, yes RGP is coming back with only 5 members BUT that won't be the case with every comeback. The girls included this time around might be in the next one, or they might not. Jane is not going to be in this comeback due to her studies, and as most of us know, Youngjoo and Mint are outside of Korea right now. Due to their busy schedules, they were unable to participate in the comeback, but that doesn't mean that they are not in RGP anymore. Kinda unconventional for kpop but that's how thing are going to work.

https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/6ocz5g/real_girls_project_will_make_a_comeback_soon_with/
Real Girls Project will make a comeback after about a year with 5 members.
On July 20th, companies MOLE and IMX opened SNS together and released a teaser image announcing the comeback of Real Girls Project. The image hints at 5 out of the 10 members for this comeback. The members will be revealed one by one before the music is released.
Real Girls Project debuted as a 10-member group last year, based on the Japanese drama The Idolmaster. The Korean drama [email protected] later broadcasted in April 2017 through the channels SBS funE, SBS Plus, SBS MTV, etc domestically and through Amazon Video to over 200 countries. Half of the 24 episodes have aired so far.
Unlike the Real Girls Project subunit B-Side, who released the song 'The Idolmaster' just before the drama started airing, the 5 members for this comeback will promote under the name "Real Girls Project".
Before the comeback, on July 30th Real Girls Project will hold their first domestic fanmeeting and will hold a second live in Japan on August 20th.

IMX has some explaining to do....how can there be a comeback if half the members are missing?

BTW, out of curiosity, are Suji and Sua protrayed to be from Busan? I noticed that Suji naturally speaks with a satoori accent, but her friend in the drama Yujin had such a thick accent along with using satoori slang. Same goes for the mom.

Tbh, and I'm going to sound like a jerk for saying this, but I kinda want them to show that Suah was going through depression. People in Korea don't really believe in depression thats why whenever they hear an idol going through those kinda things they aren't able to sympathize and say nasty comments only making the victim feel as if its they're fault. It's about time people realize depression shouldn't be taken lightly and that it can require medical attention. Taeri's story about dealing with a food disorder realy helped educate some people. I was reading the comments and I was surprised to see so many viewers asking "what is a food disorder?" You hear about it every now and then but companies are notorious for covering those conditions up and making the public believe their idols are perfect and pure angels. My guess on Suah's possible "illness":
When the doctor said Suah's "illness" may be hereditary I automatically thought of Depression. What a twist would it be that the "happy, always smiling, perfect Suah" was battling every day with depression? It's not unlikely in the Idol world and I think that would be enough of a twist to her character. And also depression is thought to be hereditary to some extent, and you're more likely to be diagnosed if your parents or siblings have it. They addressed eating disorders in the drama so the possibility doesn't seem unlikely to me
This drama renders you wondering how many idols at the moments are masking their pain and suffering with fake smiles and laughs.

Jiwon will become main cast in second half (13->24)

Yessss!!! Finally Jeewon!! This drama is about to heat up big time now! Huh....interesting...so now we know Suah had some sort of illness that could link to the hotel incident. The plot of this show keeps getting better and better.

Kinda late but ep 11 thoughts
Okay I am not going to go over everything cause I have to go to work so I'm a bit pressed for time. This episode got me thinking; what if the cause of Suah's death are her group members? They seem like total divas they way they were demanding respect from Mint. I can see why Nakyoung fits so well within the group. Suah doesn't seem to match very well with them and also she was supposedly the most popular member so it is very like the rest got jealous and bullied her. No doubt the hotel incident looks like the main cause of her death but it could be that other factors were involved and maybe the stress of everything was too much for her to handle.

There are some rumours about the members renewing contract under idolmaster brand but not as RGP. I think they will be given a name later, like Cinderella Girls and Star! units. But there is also a possibility of a second round for a season two, but with new trainees.
Those are blogs entries of course, but if I ever read some official article I'll be trying to translate ã… ã… ã…
OMG really???? Im totally in for a season 2!!!! But I doubt Mint, Suji, and Jane will renew though, they seem like they want to move forward with their careers and do something different. My bet is Yukika, Sori, Jiwon, and Yeeun, since they seem to be spending much more time at IMX'S practice room compare to the others. Just my personal prediction.
-
Also! im new here , my name is marcus and i have been watching this show since a month ago , my bias is Yeeun and Suji:rlytearpls:
! I love them! Im watching the show via idolmaster vietnam fanpage since they have hd engsubs lol:rlytearpls:
also im just wondering what happened to taeri , because i cant see her in Dream MV and performance , i see Jeewon too NOW IM CONFUSED , i m currently at ep9:cry:Hi there Marcus and welcome to the forum. Just a quick notice, IMX, the company in charge of distributing the drama, has been super strict on removing any illegal uploads so for that matter we try not to disclose the sources of the episode links on this forum since IMX reads our comments here. Apparently some moron mentioned the forum in their youtube comments section so thats how I suppose they found out about it. So when it comes to sharing links/talking about them, DM is the way to go.

I don't think it's possible to topple this poll... "Signal" is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay ahead.
This show has a ton of fanboys, so much to the point that 90% of those who are attending the fanmeeting are men, so it doesnt come off as a surprise that twice is leading.

Will they even release the cover for us? Like... They edited out Fire, Genie and Fly already.
Actually, yes, they'll release the cover the day after the concert. This cover is a gift to the fans of RGP who are unable to attend the fanmeet. You can check out the details on their instagram. Since many of their fans are males, I'm not surprised that twice is in the lead but it seems like the intl fans want either mamamoo, or a blackpink cover. KEEP VOTING GUYS WE HAVE 7 DAYS!!!
-
Guys they are having a voting poll in which us the international fans get to vote on which group we want R.G.P to cover www.kpopmap.com/vote-now/
I'm going to lose it if they cover mamamoo or blackpink.
-
It seems like this drama is getting more and more attention, I feel like a proud mom *sniffle* The Naver articles are helping a ton and fans are starting to even comment a lot more under them. Keep your fingers crossed that this drama ends up on viki or some other reputable platform.

Hey guys, I thought it'd be interesting to rank each members dancing as of now.
Rookie team:
1) Suji/Mint- I cant decide between these two. We all know they are probably the most powerful dancers in RGP, but I feel Mint is more precise with her moves and executes the dance more accurately, whereas Suji's moves seem so effortless yet strong. She adds her own flare to the dance which is pretty captivating.
2) Jiseul- She was a former YG/JYP trainee so it's no surprise that this girl knows how to move. I know she is into street dancing but unfornately we haven't seen much of her potential yet. She looks like she know how to control her body movements and puts the right amount of energy in the dances.
3) Haseo-ok, I think we can all agree that Haseo is SUUPPPPEEERR underrated in RGP. She can sing, rap, and her dancing is what got me shook. Usually rappers are notorious for lack of dancing skills, but not only was her dancing on point, her facial expressions snatched my wig. If anything she might need to work on flexiblity but other than that she slays.
4)Yeeun-She shook everyone with that exo performance. I can say she was nowhere as awkward as we thought she was going to be. She seems to execute the moves right but I noticed a lack of power and energy in her dancing, but taken that she is still new to the entertainment world Im sure she'll improve.
Debut Team
1) Youngjoo- Even though I may despise her character at the moment, I cant deny that she catches my attention the most amongst the team. I dont know what that guy in ep. 1 was taking about when he said Youngjoo doesn't have the it factor. She is total it factor material. (Look at the comments under their first performance, everyone was in awe cause of her.)
2) Jane- Super expressive while dancing, but I believe the cute concepts aren't doing much justice for her. I can see why she was protesting to Youngjoo to change the concept for their next mission. Give this girl a strong concept and you can see how much she is capable of.
3)Sori-Flexiblity is her strongest point. Her moves always seems complete and she always looks focused when dancing. I feel like she needs to work on creating a stage presence.
4)Taeri- I haven't seen much from her other than the 2 performances, so I cant say much. But AS OF NOW, she always seems to be in the back and doesnt really capture my attention.
5)Yukika-Dancing is foreign to her and sometimes she looks awkward, but from the btob performance she is definitely improving. Cuteness is the charm the she uses to her advantage and it sure is working wonders for her.
ALL OPINIONS ARE MINE, PLEASE DONT KILL ME.
-
Wow. Taeri's arc is getting really intense.
I feel as if there are only a few episodes left for Taeri......if she leaves cause of youngjoo, then i dont care how bad jiwon will be, youngjoo will officially be the most despicable character to me.
-
Just a little info on Jeewon's character
If y'all think youngjoo is bad just wait until Jiwon joins the team. Youngjoo maybe selfish, but her main rival is Suji. She still cares about the rest of her team members, but she sucks at understanding their feelings and the concept of teamwork. Jiwon on the other hand (according to the articles on naver) will apparently be portrayed as the main antagonist, where she will try to pit everyone against eachother in order to obtain the spotlight for herself (it says on her profile "tear them from the inside". Also another thing to note is that she will join the debut team NOT the rookie team so we'll have to see how her story plays out. BTW if I've misinterpreted the articles plz let me know,im still learning korean and tried to summarize however much I could understand.

Honestly the idolm@ster is great at giving out content to the fans but i kinda wish they would put some effort into promoting the drama as well. Luckily more and more people are becoming aware but it is still being overpowered by Idol operation team (mainly due to the well know idols that are in it.) Maybe like another busking event or something to get their name out.8 episode recap
-
Well it looks like imx caught on to the idolmaster vietnamese fanpage........ if anyone has a link to ep 8 plz pm me......DO NOT GIVE THE SOURCE PUBLICILY ON THIS THREAD!!!
-
That'd be awesome! But despite the fact that the broadcast is very limited, the drama seems to be picking an audience quite quickly (mainly korean fans which is even better.) Honestly (intl) kdrama fans are not used to amazon, and the whole subscription thing seems unnecessary (yes there is a free trial option but many people are having trouble with that cause Amazon declines their cards or something like that.) Hopefully the idolmaster is able to gather enough of a public response to convince viki to lease the show.Just caught up on the facebook page. It looks like IMX is trying to get the show on more sites once the original run is done. I mean that's better than nothing. Would rather it be widely available while the show is actually on air but I'm sure their Amazon deal prevents that.
I hope it gets on Viki/DF.

Ep 7 dm anyone?? -cries in foreign-
-
I do have to say that even though the drama is promoted terribly and a lot of people really aren't able to watch it, the show itself does appear to be gaining popularity just from word of mouth alone. Views on the MVs are going up pretty fast, Acacia is already at 100k views and there is a clip of Debut Team's girl group performance that has near 500k views on YT.
500k??? Really??? Could you give me a link to the video. The video i saw of their performance had around 25k views.

Ep 5 (spoiler box included
)Gosh was this an intense episode or what? The competition was intense. I CRINGED when Yeeun fell because I thought for sure it'd be Suji. The conversation between Yeeun and Suji was super realistic.
Finally, some backstory for Jiseul. She's got a part time job (and probably works a lot harder than she comes off).
YAY JIWON! *5 minutes later* OMFG WHAT A BITCH! *5 minutes later* OH NO I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOU JIWON
Those netizen comments looked like any you could find on Nate at any point ever. Very accurate.
The last 5 minutes were very well done in terms of plot. It tied together Youngjoo (and the debut team's) inevitable jealousy of Suji, the fact that Suji is Suah's twin and Yeeun's practicing all at once. It finally gave the Rookie Team some conflict.
But my favorite moment? The 5 minute part (while Dream was playing) when they showed every member and what they were doing to prepare (or not to prepare) for the competition tomorrow. You never see that in Kdramas. I thought that captured each member's personality well and showed some slice of life. Little things like that and the stuff with the laundry just helps me to get immersed. It's realistic.
I agree with what you said about this drama being on the more realistic side and showing what really goes down behind the scenes. I feel like this can resonate with a lot of kpop idols out there who dont get the attention they deserve despite all the effort they put into their work. Yeeun definitly shined in this episode for sure. I had no idea home girl's acting was this good. Cant wait to see more of her and Jeewon's story unfold.

Yo guys.....if you're going to provide a link make sure its through DM and not publicly on this thread......IMX has been very strict with removing any material that is copyright infringement.

So far I have to say that this drama is surprisingly exceeding my expectations. I like how it shows the real stuff that goes down behind the scenes. But does anyone know how this drama is doing in Korea?

I have a hunch it's a mental illness. If it was seizure or something of that nature, then Suji would have known of it. When the producer saw Sua outside of the window he reach for his drawer to get, what seemed like, medication pills. But this drama loves throwing curveballs so we'll have to wait and see
