I'm so horrifically behind that I'm not even gonna backtrack but mini rant abt the Ark in relation to RGP
When will Jane and Suji stop being referred to as The Ark's members honestly like Suji's on the Unit as a member of RGP along with Mint, I don't understand why people are saying she's the Ark's Halla. She is, but they disbanded and she's in another group now, even if it is a project group. Like the Ark was good, I liked it, but Halla isn't her stage name anymore, she's in another group, and she's not participating as an ex-the Ark member as far as I know. Ughhh. I miss the Ark too but god damn.
Well Suji does have "The Ark's Halla" written on her twitter profile, so obviously the group still means a lot to her and the rest of the members. She even has stated on Jane's instalive that she likes being called Halla. One other important thing to consider is that The Ark was really popular internationally, to the point they managed to attain 100,000+ subscribers on their YT channel. RGP is becoming known in Korea, but a lot of international fans still dont know of them. And dont forget about those salty Suzy (Bae Suzy) stans who refuse to accept another idol named Suji. She also updates the ark's fancafe a lot so maybe that's why a lot of fans have trouble moving on.

Seems cruel to tease that part haha
Unfortunately that scene was never ment to be part of the drama itself since netizens would go insane if that was aired on korean TV. It was solely used to promote the drama, and yes I know to most of us out there (especially the creepy ajusshis) it seems cruel to leave that part out but realistically speaking, I think it was for the best. It kinda contradicts with the storyline as well as it shows Youngjoo getting along with everyone during the time Taeri was with them, even though she was still hostile towards most of them even after Taeri's departure.
-
Ah! So they all signed to Mole ent. after all. Kinda expected Kika and Yeeun since they dormed with Coco and Sori during the shoot of the idolmaster (according to Coco's dorm tour on her yt channel,) but Youngjoo is a surprise! Glad she left MBK. They're notorious for screwing up every group they have. So I pressume the girls that are taking part in the unit decided not to sign with mole. Haseo and Mint are under different companies for sure, Suji is still a mystery but we'll find out soon enough.

2018 will be Real girls Project's year. I can feel it...
YUP, something is telling me that imx is targeting the international market with this drama and they can, cause contrary to most people's impression, IMX is pretty loaded, and can effortlessly distribute the drama to well known broadcast stations. Needless to say Japan will most likely be their first priority. The only concern I have is how will all 10 of the girls comeback? Minty, Suji, Haseo (and possibly Jane) all seem to have other plans next year.
-

LET'S GET STARTED IS FUCKIN AWESOME

GET HYPED!!! Cause they are supposedly performing the song at their fanmeeting. And since IMX like the angel it is, usually uploads content for the int.fans, it's safe to say we'll be fed quite well.

I know some of you are wondering how on earth did joungjoo get her voice back, well you guys have to remember Joungjoo lost her voice due to an accident and in first two episode it shows one of youngjoo's motives to debut was so she could earn money to help with her sister's treatment. I guess she was able to save up enough to afford the procedure, of course her members might've helped her out with that (Suji I'm looking at you.)
-
LAST EPISODE SPOILER
-First and foremost Mari; no appearance in the episode, but is still going to win the best actor award.
-So nice to Taeri still supporting RGP's final match
-Reporter chick finally found out about Suah's real story through Suji
- Haseo is back, but I kinda wanted her story to be more developed though, especially cause of all the suspense they created over it.
-Suji and pd nim have another cheesy moment that looks like it belongs in a romantic k-drama
-Suji has too much oppa vibes going on (which is NOT a bad thing at all), I guess that's how they prevented the scene with pd nim from looking all lovey dovey.
-PD nim returns (surprise surprise) and encourages the girls to continue on with their stage despite the rain.
-Yukika trips and the video get immensely popular ultimatly creating their debut.
Final thoughts:
Wow, I can't believe the journey is over already. I always thought how they were going to end this show with a little bow on top considering all the conflicts that were going on...but like always this drama proved me wrong. The ending was so beautiful and mature. The girls got to debut, and when I heard Joungjoo singing with Youngjoo I started crying like a baby. Suji's acting was at it's pinnacle. I love how her voice was so confident and firm when she was defending her sister and pd nim. She did a great job narrating as well, and tbh I can now see why IMX chose her to be the main female lead, since she has shown the most emotions from being lost, to unconfident, to happy, to sad, and separating the personalities between Suji and Suah. I really see a bright future for all of the girls and I hope after the contract with Amazon ends that IMX is able to promote them on a better platform.

I have a big question to ask:
Where the heck is Mari?
Has he been in the second half of the season at all? Feels like he disappeared around the time Jiwon showed up. Maybe he knew the truth about her and she got rid of him
Jiwon is still a snake, girls. Don't trust her!Wait....she's a he?? He looks too feminine. Well it's 2017,I guess he can look girly if he wants to. XD His role represents the strikes that go on in K-entertainment. He has the right to demand his feline rights. #justiceformari2017

Hey guys!I discovered this thread through the idolmaster kr one, and it's so nice to see that the ark is still remembered by a lot of people especially int.kpop fans. I have a question for you guys. Do you guys think Suji and Euna are joining The Unit for promotions of their groups possible comeback? I hate to sound delulu, but they recently have been teasing about the possibility of the ark's return. When Euna was on arirang radio she said the post on her IG about "a miracle happening" had a meaning that she wasn't going to disclose now. Also it seems that Dayday is most likely not going to happen, so now is a better time than ever to get back together.
-
I have bittersweet feelings about this. 400 idols AND trainees is going to be bloody. Same goes for the unit but that number was revealed to be 200, so still bloody but not as bad as mixnine. I guess it's good for marketing purposes for RGP to have some girls on The Unit and some on Mixnine. I'm still crossing my fingers for Jane to appear on The Unit with Suji, Haseo, and Mint. That girl is underrated especially her vocals.Looks like Youngjoo, Yukika and Yeeun are part of the MIXNINE show
EDIT: And Sori?
Also how on earth are CocoandSori planning a comeback when both are on completely different survival shows? There schedules are going to be packed with practices and preparations for performances. Someone fill me in on this.

It's nice to see YoungJoo in a thumbnail. With all the clips I've seen her as herself (I mean rather than her Idolmaster character), she comes across really well. She's quite relaxed and chilled out. I think she's pretty talented actually and I can definitely see her starring in more dramas.
Youngjoo is stunningly gorgeous!!! I expect to be casted in another drama in no time. The clip of the debut teams first performance (which has 1.4 million views) has tons of people commenting saying how they amazed by her beauty cause she apparently reminds them of Krystal of f(x) (although I personally don't see the resemblance.) I feel like she can rock a sophisticated concept the best with her soothing voice and the aura she gives off.

Kinda late but man that choreo was no joke. Really looking forward to the last episode cause I know this song will be included. I hope they can perform this at music bank or something when the drama is done but idk if that'll be possible with Haseo, Suji, and Mint joining the unit. This might be the last time we see them as ot10 for a while :(they performed their new RGP10 song (the ending song right now) at mu:con... and holy shit it was a bop. Definitely one of the best songs so far.
Also its basically confirmed that RGP will still continue after the drama is sone because Yeeun said something along the lines in English, "theres 2 episodes left. the group will work hard to achieve our dreams"
i cant really remember lol.
EDIT: Not End But And
EDIT 2:
-
ep 22
- I like how they already knew how to dance to One For All with both teams combined already :////
- Haseo's grandfather is mean >:(
- I didn't really understand Bomi's story but ok
- The pacing for the drama is really slow. There's only 2 episodes left and we're still on Haseo's arc :/
If you remember the first time they were given the 4th mission, pd said that the lyrics and choreo would be the same for both groups. They only had to come up with a concept for the song. I expect the story to pick up a bit more speed in the next episode cause it looks like Haseo's grandpa is realizing his mistake. Bomi's story is kinda complicated, but I think cat-ceo liked her but was unable to help her cause at the time he was lost in life himself. At least that's what I got out of it

I'm getting more and more sad, excited and anxious about getting towards the end of the series. Only three episodes left. I really don't want it to end, but at the same time I need resolution!
One thing I can say is that I didn't know anything about The world before watching this programme. I'm talking about the actual game and all that. I've now started watching videos of the live shows. I know that J-pop is quite different to K-pop, but those live shows are amazing. This is slightly off-topic, but if you search for "Ai must go " in YouTube the first two results are the 10th Anniversary Japanese live show from 2015 and our girls singing the Korean version a few months back in Japan. I defy anyone to watch either of those videos without crying a little bit! They're so INTENSE!!
Imma miss you all when this drama ends. I love how even if our fandon is small, we still respect everyone's opinion and get along well. (Most fandoms cause WW3 amongst themselves over something so stupid like which member is better looking smh.) This drama helped me understand life.....honestly I learned so much from each character and it's crazy how much this drama hits home. T.T I don't think I've watched a kdrama that made me cry as bad as this one and I hope IMX makes a season 2. Maybe with boys this time? It'd be interesting to see what trials and hardships they go through in the k-music industry.

I'm thinking the last part of the teaser is her telling the truth.
Yeah I also think the last scene is when she'll tell the girls everything since they have been pestering her nonstop about the scandal. It's important to note that epi 9 was already dedicated to Suji's trouble with trusting the PD so it doesn't make sense for them to repeat the issue again.
-
This is exactly what I never understood about dramas... Characters demanding trust on those whom they dont trust enough to share truth with them. Seriously if I was on of the other 9 I would feel like they betrayed my trust already since every body and their mothers (especially Youngjoo) noticed that Pd Kang gives Suji special attention and treatment but nobody asked or used it against them cause they trusted them... The girls will have to survive journalists and negative attention too, they deserve to get some trust from Pd and Suji too. More from pd then from Suji. Since Suji is just getting his back as Suji do basically to everyone.
Just the scene in general I felt like could've been executed better. Suji did the right thing waiting for pd to help clear up the misconceptions, but he kinda made things worse. Not everyone is like Suji and even she had a hard time trusting him in the beginning. The girls had a right to be furious. They are working the butts off and putting on so much stress for the competition, as trainees they have every right to question the fairness of it.
-
Tbh I don't know if it was quite an idea sent no vocalists, except for Coco. Although I want Haseo to shine, she's a great rapper and people should acknowledge it. But man 256 trainees, they will give such a screen time to those who come from Starship, DSP, MBK... I wonder if the rest of girls will be confirmed as well, Jiseul and Jane, because it seems Yeeun, Jeewon, Sori, Yukika and YoungJoo aren't into it.
Yeeun, Yukika,Jiseul, and Jeewon don't really count because technically speaking RGP still isn't considered a proper group in Korea. The four that have joined have debuted in REAL groups before. My question is though, what company will Suji be representing considering how she left Music K a long time ago? I know Mint, Coco and Haseo are going to be backed up by their respective companies. I hope Suji isn't doing this alone cause shows like this one can be brutal.

I spoiled ep 21 to me. 😱
Omg I was almost right with Suah's death. But tbh now Im sure I like Suji more than Suah since she is kinda closer to me n terms of personality. Suah's reason to be the one last important performance kinda disappointed me. At first I thought both Suah and Suji were like kpop angels but in the end Suah's decision was so selfish, in this ep Suah fitted into Red Queen tbh. And the way how PD Kang didnt notice he left her in front of the elevator when door closed was kinda stupid too. They should think more about this scene as whole, do it better. Especially this scene since its like main pillar of the storyline.
I also dont get why they didnt tell the girls what happened. They could totally leave Suah's dissease out and just tell Suji almost got into car accident and it reminded him her sister who died in front of him so they shared a moment just like this while mourning for Suah once again. They would totally understand. Leaving girls in the dark is totally unfair.
But well I will wait for full ep to judge.
I agree with you on the Suah being selfish part....I can see the main difference between her and Suji now. Suah only thought of her performance and how much it meant to HER and didn't even once think of how it would impact her sister until she got in the accident. On the other hand Suji always thinks of others especially Suah whenever making a decision (sometimes a bit too much.) And again this is sadly the reality of some kpop idols nowadays. All they care about is winning awards and making to the top like their sunbaes without stopping to sort of their priorities first. And they end up neglected their health the most so I like how suah's arch was kinda a wake up call to similar idols out there.
Also the reason why Suji and the producer kept quiet was because that was a very emotionally draining moment for Mr.Kang. Since he's a blunt person, it was hard for him to cry in front of Suji like that. What they did was the right thing. Suji respected his privacy. That's why she kept quiet so he can clear the air himself. Plus it was to teach the girls to have trust in one another even when the odds are against you. Sometimes evidence isn't enough and your trust is what guides you to the truth. (Koreans are huge on trust.)

At the moment Haseo seems like a shoe in for the unit as well since she is the only decent rapper in the line up
-
Real Girls Project Coco, Haseo, Mint, and Suji are reportedly joining KBS Idol Rebooting program 'The Unit'
http://entertain.naver.com/read?oid=108&aid=0002646277
they should just give Suji the trophy now tbh
I can actually see Suji making it pretty far on the show if not winning. But it seems like they are doing it for promotions. Mint is coming back next year and its been a while since she released anything so it'll get the fans hyped again. Same goes for Coco and Suji. CocoandSori is coming back soon and the ark has been hinting for a while now about their return (no clue about Haseo's plans) so I hope "The Unit" is able to gather more fans for the girls.
-
Mintty has indeed joined to The Unit but I can almost say it's for purely promotion. She planned a soloist comeback for next year so it's probable for it. In the other hand, the girls will be always part of RGP, not just as a sentimental feeling but because that's their spot no matter what. It's been said they are not a official girlgroup but a project girlgroup, just like I.O.I was. The difference is all the girls can promote whenever they want and if they want. The important point here is IMX owns RGP name, but the girls are part of the idolmaster brand, easily as it is... they can switch places once in while, they will have a comeback as four, as three, as seven by time. It's like having a reserve of members(?) All the girls have their own projects ahead. Jeewon wants to enter into the Musicals world and Jiseul said she wants to keep acting and The Ark's members seems to keep giving glances about a reunion, while Kika is going back to Japan at some point. I don't know if I explained my self^^' but it's not that RGP is disbanding, it is that the project has been on for a while and they need to go back to work on what they want.
It's really a bittersweet feeling indeed at this point. We have become so attached to all of these talented girls and it feels weird that we have to bid this show a farewell in a mere 3 weeks but everything was so well thought out that I have no complients. I am truly excited to see more of these girls and what they showcase next. If anything, Mint seems the most eager along with Suji and Jane to get back in the music scene and judging by the styles of these girls I cant wait for them to slay with their hiphop vibes. RGP FIGHTING!!!! ^^
-

Ooooh it's getting good. Looks like the rest of girls might turn against Suji cause of the scandal. And we FINALLY will find out what was the real reason behind Sua's death.

episode 20 spoilers
what the actual hell suji???? looking away at the car wont make it stop.
the car was actually so far away when it started beeping and the car is going pretty slow as well. like suji. can you not just stop in the middle of the road when you hear a honking car from meters away???
It's not her fault that she wasn't able to get out of the way. The strong headlights were triggering her symptoms. That's why she was looking away, cause the poor thing was probably in pain again.

Ep 19 thoughts
My friend lend me her amazon account so I was able to watch it early this week.....okay that was a piece of useless information now on to the review....
•Most of the stuff we predicted would happen actually came true.....Jeewon was innocent and the culprit was Kika's creepy sasaeng.
•I really liked Rookie team's new concept. It was really heart warming what they did for Jiseul's lil sis and Taeri.
•Yeeun and Jeewon are on the verge of making up and probably their story arch is coming close to an end.
•But as one door closes another one opens, Suah's arch is next and it's pretty much confirmed that Suji has or is in the beginning stages of developing the same disease as Suah. (Article on Naver spoiled some parts of the next episode)
•Girls are getting ready to go on a surprise trip, but I think that's where the last mission will take place. **cough*cough** Japan.
Overall, as always it was a great episode. I like how they showed Jeewon's true intentions which is not to necessarily beat Yeeun, but to redeem herself and to get close with Yeeun again, even though she knows it's unlikely. She isn't such a snake after all and I believe there is/was a legit reason why she took Yeeun's call. Producer Kang is in for huge shock next episode having his dark history repeat itself. No doubt the next couple of episodes are looking pretty heavy and not as light hearted compared to the previous ones.

YG wouldn't make it obvious as to who made it by revealing it through a teaser. Remember 400 idols are fighting for screentime.
