It's not supposed to be an LGBT or even BL story tho, it's horror. But yeah it's written by a woman (idk her sexuality) and the story perpetuates some harmful tropes such as Sangwoo being straight but gay only for Bum .... *rolls eyes*. But if the drama is framed as a horror and minimizes the stereotypical BL/yaoi aspects I see no problem with it tbqh.

loving this. it's worth noting that Kyubin/Yoojung is one of the biggest ships in the group, even the other members try to set them up together. i can't find a clip rn but Rie specifically ships them so hard & teases them for being together too much. Kyubin rly adores him, that's for sure. keep in mind, their bunks are right next to each other so it's not like Kyubin can even miss Yoojung to need a photo of him but he has it there anyway

But i literally did address hookups so idk what you’re talking about. i would bet within a group hookups would not be so common (same with relationships) because of the risks and how awkward it would make things. Back on the topic of group members dating each other, when people cite that they’re coworkers and that coworkers get together all the time, i feel like they also forget that idols are usually roommates as well. i’ll state off the bat that i believe group members can and do fall in love, whether it’s mutual or not, it’s just human nature. But idols aren’t merely colleagues, they’re around each other 24/7 and imo that can't be comapared to two people who see each other a handful of hours out of the week at the office. It’s more akin to college football teammates getting together tbqh. This is just speaking from my own experience, but there’s a level of mystery and intrigue about the people you work with, especially if you’ve never seen them outside of the workplace setting. Feelings develop out of curiosity and a fantasy of what they’re really like when the professional facade is dropped. There’s also a level of distance, so if it doesn’t work out y'know it’s not the end of the world. But idols … they see every facet of each other. The good and the bad, when they’re stressed, when they’re being gross men, all of it. They see each other naked, they fight over dirty dishes in the sink and someone farting too loud They can see past the curated idol image that we see, they see when the mask slips. There’s no romantic mystery to be had there. Not to mention the risks that come with in-group fooling around. If two idols of the same group commit to a relationship it has to be kept secret or else their career would be over. Depending on the group and their company they may not be safe even within their own dorm bcs of live-in managers or fellow group members who may potentially be homophobic. If same group idols break up or hook up a couple times without it going anywhere it’d make things awkward and they’d have to pretend nothing happened. Again, not to say idols don't canoodle with their bandmates, i’m sure it does happen and i have some pairings i’m rather sus of in particular. But it’s not as cut-and-dry as it's sometimes made out to be and i think it’s far more probable for idols from different groups to get together tbqh. But that’s easier to keep on the down-low so we as fans are less likely to ever have any clue of it.

Think for a second about why it may be that fellow queer minorities could be more open to dating trans women than straight men. Then think about how incredibly rude it is in fact to say that gay men would be attracted to any woman just because that woman is trans. Then think about how shitty it feels to be treated like a third gender for someone who only wants to be seen as the woman they are. This is an issue of transphobia, not sexuality. Trans women are women. Being into women includes trans women by default. Doesn't mean everyone will be attracted to every trans woman, or any at all, but trans women fall under the same woman umbrella as cis women. Same as thin women, short women, tall women, redheads, etc. Transness is a trait alike any other and everyone has their own preferences and/or biases. Attraction to trans women has no bearing on one's sexuality and you can not and should not assume that someone is automatically more likely to be queer because of it. And btw, with all the love in the world, do not say "biological women". Cis is correct, you got it the first time.

Hyoshin and Taehyung are both very famous within the music industry, Holland is next to unknown. Top gay idols may know of Holland, but i'd be surprised if they know him personally or even remember his name. It is technically possible!! But in the same way that Taehyung being friends with a member of, say, DKB (no offense, first nugu i thought of ) is technically possible. But Holland isn't on the music shows, he's not at award shows, he's probably not going to top-rung parties & events. For him to meet and befriend a member of the biggest boy group in Korea is just unlikely. That's all! Believe in whatever fantasy you'd like tho
