sorry for double posting. but this also touches on something that i was thinking about in regards to the sf9 discussion. it seems that when lesser known groups are brought up, any receipts are kinda accepted at large at face value? because less people here stan sf9 they see it and just go “gay! ok moving on,” they wouldn’t know, like you said, that jaeyoon & zuho are besties or of any other moments that would indicate what direction they lean in. but when popular groups get brought up .... hoo boy! receipts for popular groups are scrutinized soooo much harder. and it makes sense, because more people know them more people are going to have solid opinions, but it does feel unbalanced sometimes. like i wonder if that hickey video from pages past was of, say, verivery instead of bts, would there still be arguments of “it’s all fanservice!! they’re not gay!!! they are gay but they’re not dating! they’re hiding something!!” lol it just makes me think it’s not just bts either (and i’m not an army), it’s stray kids, exo, etc. all the top groups. idk that’s my piece. not something that can really be changed, but it is a bit of a shame when you’re interested in those smaller groups and you have to fight tooth and nail to actually hear some opinions over the tea emotes and shipping wars
