I think EXID has their group of loyal Leggos out there who are steadily and continuously supporting the girls. Remember that EXID didn't immediately hit their fame when they first started. They became successful two years after their debuted so their situation is rather different and unique.
Yes their recent digital or physical album sales are no match to Up and Down and Ah Yeah, but they are much more capable of translating different song concepts, which we the international fans found refreshing but unfortunately it's not the case with the Korean fans. Is it because Korean fans don't like much changes in once they stick with something for a period of time?
Anyhow as a fan I still strongly believe that as an artist (Western pop, Chinese pop or Korean pop), they should not always stick with one type of music style/concepts. Of course they can't produce every music genres, but something different once in a while is necessary. Their versatility proves their worth in the music industry and that's exactly why I keep supporting EXID all the way from the beginning.
And I think Solji's absence does contribute to the results of their comebacks. It happened to other groups that were missing members. And I believe that once Solji is back with the team, they will probably make another two decent comebacks with Solji before their contracts end in 2019 (if I remember correctly), one comeback perhaps sometimes after summer 2018, another around beginning 2019. This is just my thoughts and I might be completely off.
