I myself had cancer-stricken relatives (incl my own mom) who experienced insensitive comments ranging fr "jokes" abt their weight and/or hair loss fr chemo (one uncle "complimented" one of my cancer-stricken aunts saying she looked better now that she's skinny)  to direct insults.
So I find Will Smith's emotional reaction to be relatable.
It was still wrong of him to slap Chris Rock, and Chris Rock has the right to accept or reject Will's apology.
But WS has every right to stop smiling and express his anger when he saw how Jada seemed hurt from Chris Rock's joke.
But he should have expressed it thru non-violent means only.
As for Chris Rock, I hope he gets the hint of how insensitive his "joke" was
when Denzel and Tyler approached Will Smith to console him first and not him after the slap.

Denzel wasn't really consoling him tho, he literally advised him to be cautious with his actions, thus he obviously didn't agree with what Will did and it clearly showed that he's emotionally unwell.

  2. Honestly the joke was very mild and it didn't feel vicious at all, was it careless? Sure, but malicious? I don't think so. Chris was comparing her to G.I Jane, a badass female character. Will overreacted, he could have just handled it better. The joke could have probably flew over people's head since many people didn't even know about the movie before, but now is the only thing people are talking about.

I remember the front page used to have way more recommended movies? I remember a movie "The Silenced" being recommended on there. I just watched it and I get sapphic vibes from the main two girls friendship. Is it me all do alot of korean horror/thriller type movies have lesbian overtones.

lol is not only you, I've always gotten those vibes too from some thriller and horror movies, have you watched Whispering Corridors movies? I get vibes from almost all of them, the second one especially does have a lesbian couple.

  4. I'm from Mexico and I didn't really see such things at my school, but it may depend. I do remember there was a group of three girls who were kinda like that, but no one really paid attention to them lol, they were try-hards/wannabes. Although, from the boys side it was different, a lot of the popular guys from high school do tended to be bullys and just straight up assholes (never understood how they even had friends).
