apparently the show ends jan 28th.

some spoilers that i've seen (take with a grain of salt because I have no idea where they originate from + mixnine spoilers have proven inaccurate in the past)

so there are already some elimination rumours/spoilers floating around... wonder where they come from... is there like a korean forum or something?

i think this week is better because its not boys vs girls, but yes they should have 2-3 days more of voting after broadcast.

no way elimination is happening in Christmas... that is too cruel. Hopefully it was like a surprise party or something.. I know its a tight schedule but they could definitely push the 3rd performance round back a few days....

i would have agreed that this would be bad for YG's cred before YG New Boys showed up on Stray Kids, but after Bang Yedam + his team's performance on Stray Kids exploded (i think his performance has more views than many Mix9 performances combined) the conventional wisdom seems to be that YG kept his crown jewels for himself and only let the weaker trainees on this show.

its easy to forget that YG and the other judges have not said ONE word of praise for any of the YG trainees, and they've all had much less screen time than other contestants. Especially Hyunsuk, who by his own abilities through audience and online voting is in the Top 9 but has much less screentime than other ppl in the Top 9. I know its partly because YG knows that any compliment to a YG trainee would be seen as bias, but he doesn't seem to have an issue with excessive complimenting Jason (to the point of posting on his instagram!) The pressure on the kids must have been immense, especially since this episode showed that Hyunsuk, despite not being the leader, was basically expected to carry the group with choreography and all that, just because he was a YG trainee. All the group members were shown talking about that! And the producers, choreographers, YG staff etc. all expect him to carry the team and heaped so much pressure that he inevitably broke down. Not to mention that Hyunsuk was a leader in a previous mission and had NO 'leader' screentime. Being the leader does not guarantee screentime. Only if you do something worth showing as a leader, like A-Day in BBB, do they automatically give screentime. I think YG only let trainees that aren't 100% confirmed for his next boy group on to the show. This is their 'chance' to prove their worth. hence why trainees like Yedam and Raesung and others that were on Stray Kids were kept off.

theres gonna be a lot of empty stadiums.... YG can't just rely on the company's international fanbase to show up...

I want YG to actually make use of their most valuable resource - their producing teams (e.g. Future Bounce, Teddt, Tablo etc.) Do a kinda SMTM thing where the contestants pick a producing team that they want for a round.

loads of wasted time in between. this is the problem with too many contestants. performances take too long to air so recordings are spread to far apart. eliminations could not come sooner.

I wonder what happens between recordings?? The performances were recorded nearly 2 weeks ago whilst the elimination is happening today. Do the contestants stay in dorms throughout the time in between? Seems counterproductive.

The Units not doing well either; i think its more about people being tired of these kinda shows. PD101 was enough.

IMHO the boys side has more standout contestants so far, not sure if its because they're genuinely better or because they've had better opportunities to do so. No one other than Ryujin is particularly spotlight-grabbing.

LOL woo jinyoung being No.1 in rap over Woo taewoon and Choi hyunsuk is the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard. benefiting from his pd101 fame.

whats with yang hyunsuk being so soft for these performances?? did the netizens scare him?? so much to criticise in some performances. maybe he's scared of being booed by live audience.

yes, My House was overrated. But i think the contrast was so vast that it made it seem much better.

ai... the dance performances so far this ep= (inclu knock knock) have been weak. its the song choice... for dance category they should have chosen songs that focused on dance... none of these choreography are impressive enough.

the whole team was great but hyungyu, donghoon and hyunsu were my favourites.
