  1. I went to check out the subtitled clip of this and gosh I don’t know how many times I died watching it (it gets even better when you try it at x2 speed, trust me). They’re such a comedy duo together and balances out the relative reticence of the other half of the group dynamics pretty nicely, I feel! And Queens of our hearts indeed! xD
  2. Meteor Garden!! Gosh I know this show aired over 15 years ago and how I even missed this is beyond me. But better late than never!
  3. I have recently been re-reading a book that we studied for literature during my junior college days, Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro, and up until today it remains as one of my top favourite novels. Albeit slow pacing of plot at first, press on and eventually you will get to what is a beautifully mannered and poignant story woven by sophisticated prose and elegant use of language. The ending never fails to leave my heart in smithereens no matter how many times I re-read it! Definitely a 10/10 recommend from me That being said, if anyone else has had good experiences with other books from the same author, Kazuo Ishiguro - do recommend! I've heard some good things about Never Let Me Go and The Buried Giant
  4. Hello! I got into the GSD fandom quite awhile back but only decided to hop onto the bandwagon now - my bias would have to be Minah, given how Gong Shim held quite a special place in my heart after the show. Although I must admit that that place is contestable now that my holidays are here and I finally have the time to marathon Reply 1988 starring Hyeri! (Definitely one step behind in discovering this serial I admit, but better late than never!) I have an old soul, so shows like this really appeal to me, and for those who have yet to watch it and are looking for a good story as well as characters that go straight to your heart, this is it! I swear I have a soft spot for female leads with dorky short bobs; what I would give to see Sojin and Yura sporting something like this someday too ahah
  5. Awfully late into the bandwagon, but Reply 1988, which is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!
  6. Girl's Day - Ring My Bell has been on loop for the past hour
  7. A top favorite of mine would be I am The Messenger by Markus Zusak, largely in part for his witty storytelling, characters that really come to live, and to add to it all a sharp sense of humor(every other page got at least a chuckle out of me). That's not to say there is nothing more to glean out of it though! Do give it a try if you're in the mood for a coming-of-age story that goes straight to your heart. That being said though, I am quite in the mood for some translated Korean and/or Japanese literature. I know Murakami's a given recommendation and for good reasons, but I'd like to try some other authors. Pachinko by Min Jin Lee is on my to-read list, if anyone has any experience and reviews about it!
