What are the dates for One Mic in Japan and does anybody else feel like it will probably be a 2pm concert when they go to Japan, lol.
Happy that 2pm teasers are out9they all look so good), but have they announced tour dates for their "World Tour" in America yet? I need to know so I can plan and save(to buy tour goods, a lot of tour goods).
-
Im really excited for 2pm to be coming back. I've been waiting not so patiently for them/ Miss A and Wonder Girls(sigh). This year all of JYPEs releases have been on point for their artist so im really looking forward to it and the fact that Jun k. composed it is an extra cherry on top.

I don't want Iron to be an idol of course (I would cry)
But I do want YG to just kind of take a ride back to early YG days and bring back a modern version of 1TYM or something. A pure, pure rap group with just maybe one vocal. I mostly want him in YG because
1) YG is one of the most successful if not the most (next to SM) successful in the entertainment industry.
2) YG is "hip hop". Yes, they are home to some of the best hip hop artists Epik High, 1Tym, Masta Wu, Perry, Mino, and yes even BI/Bobby/GD/CL/TOP no matter how much people want to deny that they're good, they're good. (Maybe not the best but these five are good)
3) I want Iron to become successful *_____* and YG is the easy route.
This is one of the reasons I want Vasco to win but we can't help it if he doesn't deliver that's just no excuse for anyone to go up.
I get that YG is the easy route but I think that he would have to sacrifice a lot more at an idol company and YG is an idol company no matter how successful they are. GD/CL/TOP, imo have not grown as rappers at all, Im not talking about any thing artistic, I mean as a rapper, they're flow, delivery and lyricism has not really grown at all esp. CL she's pretty stagnant. I just feel Iron or even Olltii wouldn't grow as rappers at YG or any idol company

omfg iron is still trending really high on naver after hours
HE'S GOING TO MAKE IT BIG GUYS
YG QUICK SNATCH HIM UP AND MAKE A 1TYM PART 2
Glad Iron is getting recognized but I hope he doesn't sign with any of the Big 3 or any "idol company" I feel he wouldn't grow as a rapper but more importantly an artist. Im not trying to shade any body but the good rappers that YG has, they didn't train them, they where lucky enough to get them. Epic High and MInho and Bobby has a lot of potential but I think once this show is over he wont grow anymore at YG.

I know some people are going to disagree with me but.... I still wasn't impressed by B.I., Its like, yeah you remembered your lyrics..... I just feel he wasn't up to par to begin with and should have stayed eliminated the first time. Just like that high school girl should have never been taken before Jolly V.
I dont know what the hell was wrong with Giriboy, but that was a mess and a half. I feel embarrassed for him, its messed up cuz he is good. He had to have an outer body experience or something. I legit think an alien came down and took over his body so they could fuck with him.
Iron and Olltii killed it which was expected. I never thought Iron should have chosen YDG anyway.

im actually kinda pissed that giri boy performed such a shitty song and legit said he did better than cjamm lmfao
imo vasco iron cjamm bobby olltii and giriboy should be top 6 (probably in that order). bnm is way too stacked.
The only reason I put YDG ahead of Illionaire is because Iron smashes Bobby, the highschooler and Toy and giriboy is good, he just performed on a shitty ass beat.
I agree with your top 6 except I would put Olitii ahead of bobby.

The YG team is by far the weakest one not even lying here. Like it must be a joke. They only have Olltii now, in comparison to BNM team
. And someone needs to realize that they aren't searching for a new trainee but for someone who deserves that money. It's not about YG Team = Idol Team, it's more about how they think that they will survive and win and if he thinks being in the YG will bring him far...But really I have finished with the first part of EP 5 and it made me cringe when the other YG people came in, like you could see B.Is face and the other one it was clear that he won't go home. I'm only watching it for the funny parts now, because that shit is scripted as fuck

The YG team is the weakest out of all the teams, they only have Olltii who is legit good, one idol and one who probably wants to be an idol and both of those keep messing up. They should have kept Snacky. I rolled my eyes when they brought all of the YG people, esp. Dara. Dara you're cute but what are you going to contribute to the discussion of hip-hop..........
This is my order of the teams
BNM
YDG

I know they keep saying they see all this potential in Ji Dam but what potential, to be an idol rapper for YG? The only thing she has is her voice cuz her flow isnt that great and she doesnt write her own stuff and if she does then she has help.
About the Oltti thing, how he can diss Bobby and B.I. and be on team YG, and friends with idols. Zico started off in the underground so that gives him some "creditability" if you will and I dont see team YG as the same as the company YG who make idols. Tablo is one of the judges and if you could wouldnt you want to talk to or even get wisdom from someone in the hip-hop scene who has been there for a long time.
If anyone can give advice on coming form underground then going mainstream and being successful while still getting respect its Tablo.

Question, is Toy Black and Korean(mixed) or is she just Black? Has anyone heard hear really spit in Korean?
-
Im a JYP nation fan but havent posted in the got7 thread, theyre just soo young. Now that promotions for A are done, would you like them to comeback with a more "hip-hop image" or stay how they are? Which to me is mixing hip-hop elements with pop(which they tend to lean further pop)
If they comeback with a more hip-hop image I would love for collapsedone to produce the title song( I love JYPs songs but I dont know if he can do hip hop) I think he could do a nice old school hip hop beat but.........

Are you asking about Yeeun

If Yes then, for now "No" because she would have to attend JYPNation One Mic concert, so i'm guessing they are practicing for the concert. But she would be appearing on the CulTwo show on the 7th of August

You can check for her schedule here
Yeah I was talking about Yeeun, didnt realize I didn't type her name out, lol. Would love to see her on Weekly Idol. I would also love it if JYPE did the same thing for Yeeun that they did for 15&. Were they sang every song off the album.
-
Does anyone know if she is going to appear in any variety?

Great job on the first page. I liked how you added all the SNS info. It would be cool if you could do the same for the actors and actress. I only follow(lurk) Choi Woo Shik(he is really funny) and Min Hyorin(always updating) on insta, dont know if any of the other actors/actress have SNS accounts.

I've been watching her stages and I think she is getting better with each stage, more confident. She is killing it up there.
I was never one of those fans who were interested in winning or how well they do on the charts because the k-netz are pretty finicky with stuff like that so I just let it go. I think shes going to be happy whether she wins anything or not because its the music she wanted to put out there, she created this from beginning to end, it was idea.

Wonder Girls' Yenny Returns as Soloist HA:TFELT With Intense 'Ain't Nobody' Video
By Jeff Benjamin, New York
Under a pseudonym, the K-pop starlet returns to the spotlight with a Sia-like vocal performance with this dubstep-trap hybrid.
Without a doubt, Wonder Girls are one of K-pop's most beloved acts, helping spread the scene far beyond South Korea. But since their hiatus early last year, fans have been hungry for news from the members -- all five staying mostly quiet on the music front.
But one of the quintet's top vocalists and songwriters, Yenny, broke the silence Wednesday (July 30) reinventing herself as the soloist HA:TFELT. According to a teaser video, the 25-year-old's pseudonym is an adjective that combines the words "heartfelt" and "hot." It's a rather Prince move from the esteemed star, but a clear endeavor to separate herself from her idol past and be seen as the woman singing, co-composing and co-writing all the tracks on her debut EP, Me?
HA:TFELT's first single, "Ain't Nobody" (which may or may not be a slight jab at one of Wonder Girls' biggest hits "Nobody," which broke into the Hot 100), is an intense introduction to the new Yenny. The track opens with simple piano and subtle percussion backing the singer's soft delivery. But like a sonic shot of Everclear, the track's quiet tone bolts into a loud, hard-hitting dubstep chorus with screeching synths and wub-wubs featuring Yenny's voice jumping from chesty belts to fluttery high notes. But just like that, the fiery chorus glides into a brilliant trap breakdown with the rest of the track moving from section to section with different electronic embellishments.
The quick jumping of genres and vocal stylings are extremely reminiscent of Sia's brilliant hit "Chandelier," which has found its way onto radio and into listeners' hearts despite (or because of) its wild vocal runs. Appropriately enough, both Sia and Yenny wrote their respective singles, making their performances all the more personal and special.
Another Sia comparison comes in the "Ain't Nobody" video, which sees Yenny dancing out her emotions as her guy chooses another woman over her. Like the interpretive dance from "Dance Moms" star Maddie Ziegler in "Chandelier," Yenny gorgeously spins, falls and twirls with her free-form choreography, which takes her from an apartment to the New York City streets and a building stairwell.
Ultimately, HA:TFELT shows Yenny taking risks with her music and image. The Usher fanatic could have come back with a safe pop tune or ballad, but she chose an intense, genre-defying creation. She could have prepared a fun dance routine, but she went for freestyle choreography. Yenny could have even shied away from the dubstep -- it's been a part of K-pop for years now -- but the decision ends up adding an intensity to Yenny's emotional belts, presumably an artistic decision.
All in all, it's great to have the Wonder Girl back...but it's also great to have her as HA:TFELT. Here's to hoping the other girls can return in an equally enthralling and graceful way.I put it in spoilers because it was big and I didnt want the page to lag.

you just made yourself worthy to be ridiculed.
this deserves an own thread. make one
made it! Hope I put it in the right place.
Also, it bothers me a bit that a lot of people are concerned abt JYPs situation with the growing roster of artists and what that means for the future. Everyone should be happy about that! the fact that JYP is growing is the positive result of the hard efforts they have put this past years.
Im really glad JYP is growing continuously, steady, but also not in a rush like SM or YG... Especially SM because i really dont like how poorly theyve managed their roster of artists showing favoritism in a not very subtle way.
Lets be happy for JYP nation n.n
Don't get me wrong, I'm beyond happy how much JYPE is growing, not only growing but also putting out quality work. My real concern was scheduling for comebacks, because to be honest even when they didn't have a lot of artist we didn't get comebacks frequently or often enough. So my thing was that now that JYPE is growing I just don't want even more talented artist just kinda sitting and not doing anything. With this many artist we could technically have comebacks ever QTR.

Go have a handful of seats. Leave that in your on thread, SMDH!!

Finishing HA:TFELT Was Like WWIII Between JYP and Yenny
Image courtesy of JYP EntertainmentYenny of Wonder Girls recently confessed that getting a solo album was like starting a war against J.Y. Park.
In an interview with OSEN News, Yenny admitted, "While I was writing the album I fought with J.Y. Park so much. The album was like World War III."
Yenny continued, "Even selecting the single was like war. I really liked the third track, 'Ain't Nobody,' but the fourth track, 'Bond,' is the only sexy track on the album. Obviously, J.Y. Park recommended ['Bond'] as the title track for the album. He claimed that, 'This sort of sexiness is that of a dimension that only you can show.'"
Yenny further explained, "I absolutely never thought of HA:TFELT's sexy concept as a bad thing. However, going with the sexy concept theme, I suffered through the composition of two songs. It seemed like in my previous music I wasn't really expressing myself, so this time I pushed as far as I could."
Yenny also admitted that J.Y. Park wrote her an 11-page letter explaining why she change a few songs around and structure the album a certain way.
"It was also a war over the jacket cover," explained Yenny, who continued, "the name of the project was the last war. J.Y. Park thought it should just be 'Ye-eun' and he tried to persuade me by saying 'people will hate this name.'"
Yenny continued, "However, I was determined to use HA:TFELT as my writing/producing name, rather than Wonder Girls Yenny. I don't have any regrets about that decision."
According to Yenny, HA:TFELT is a combination of the words "hot" and "heartfelt," so a double meaning is achieved.
Have you listened to the new HA:TFELT album yet? If so what are your thoughts?

It just got alot harder with 2AM officially being solely under JYP and the debuts of Bernard Park, 6Mix & 5Live.. I wonder how everything will work out tbh.. JYP should either develop their workforce.. (according to their last financial report there are less than 100 employees in JYP in total..) or do something like what I suggested! Having an external department to help exclusively with Music production..
I forgot about Bernard, and I think one of the conditions of winning K-pop star is debuting within a year(I think?) and if thats the case then his debut has to come soon, they need to re-establish 2am(as solely JYPE).... they have to do a lot. Thinking about gives me a headache to be honest but hopefully they have a plan. A very good plan
-
I'm extremely proud of JYPE.. The quality this year has been beyond amazing.. but the quantity is the problem for me.. I want them to do more Music wise..
I think all companies have a problem with quantity, but for JYPE I feel like they're still trying to find the right balance considering they have a lot more groups AND still having to debut 5live and 6mix. I think once they get their roster in order hopefully we will see more releases.
-
Can I say that JYPE has actually put out solid releases this year and I feel like no one is really appreciating that(i feel like everyone is still on that JYPE sucks bandwagon). All of the albums this year are quality music and I now I cant wait for Miss A and 2pm to hurry up and come back.

Does anyone know how the Korean reaction has been? Not just K-WFs but the Korean public?
I cant stop playing this album, its on repeat!!
. And someone needs to realize that they aren't searching for a new trainee but for someone who deserves that money.

I'm not going to lie when I first heard So Good, I didn't like it. I think I was expecting more/hoping Gray would produce it/a lil mad at all the remastered tracks on the album. The song doesn't really go any where, it pretty much stays the same note thorough out. It doesn't build up to anything. He could have released this as the pre song, I would have been fine with the Promise as the title song, but after listening to it a second time I can appreciate the track for what it is, a simple chill pop song and I'm OK with that. Summer is coming to an end and this is the perfect song for that.
Hopefully he is going on music shows, this time.
also a lil disappointed that he didn't have Elo or Ugly Duck on any of the songs. I feel like he has to get hype surrounding those 2 and he hasn't really.
