lmao that 2nd one. its like a scene of a prince from a shojo manga. interesting but also not surprised to know girls are lining up for him. and yet he thinks he doesn't have fans.

i know there's gonna be produce48 which will be aired simultaneously in japan and korea around april/may. there'll be japanese and korean trainees. it would be good if taemin gets to be the mentor there and its fitting since he can speak japanese too. i wanna see mentor taemin again. he didn't have much appearance on the unit, it wasn't enough :( .

taemin seems like the type to prefer to hang out at a bar and snooker place instead of a nightclub. its too noisy and crowded. you'd think with the dance skills he has, he'd go to a nightclub but yeah some people just don't like the vibe and atmosphere. i remember this. shinee made a special one night performance at a club. it had a massive turnout and people were going crazy, hence it became chaotic and some people got hurt. shinee had to stop performing midway.

through this show, you can tell that taemin has talent in spotting people's talent and potential. in the beginning, euijin didn't really stand out and barely anyone hype him up. except taemin who saw something in him that nobody/not many saw yet. from the audition process where taemin mistakenly thought they're same age to the 1st mission practice where taemin made a visit and hyped him up as taemin was impressed with his audition. admittedly, many people (me included) didn't really see what taemin saw. euijin's talented but still didn't stand out. in fact, he messed up his 1st mission choreo and got scolded by trainers, so he was off to a bad start. in his 2nd mission, he wasn't memorable. he wasn't regarded as one of the avengers or anything. it wasn't until halfway thru, where they did a dance battle, and the few other exposure and perfs, he suddenly stood out. he impressed alot of ppl hence, he slowly shoot up the ranks and gradually gained lots of fans, has been the top 2 favorites for a while and made it to the final group where he got 2nd place. euijin from what i saw, was really respectful towards taemin although he's actually older by 3 yrs. he didn't even feel offended when taemin mistakenly thought they're the same age. he even gave credit to taemin for his success and lifted his confidence. although taemin didn't appear much on the show or onscreen, he made big impact on the participants. he was proven to be a very good mentor from the praises he received from unit contestants like euijin, timoteo, ex-day6 junhyuk, etc.

i actually don't mind him wearing that gucci fur shoes especially if they're really comfy and has like orthopedic feature that helps his feet. he is, after all, a dancer and performer in which his leg and feet obviously need some comfort and healing that other shoes may not provide. i don't mind crocs either. actually my mom wear crocs frequently too because she has chronic knee pain. at least these type of shoes have functions and purposes. ------------ the gf has to be someone that taemin falls head over heels in love with, so, that she could get him wrapped around her fingers. ultimately, he'll listen to her advice. ------------ he never officially disclosed his family's financial background. ofc, as fans we respect his decision to be hush/private about this but you can actually pick up some hints and clues here and there from interviews, tv appearances, and more. still i don't think he was as poor as rumor says. his family might be around lower middle class or lower. this might not sound so bad in some countries but to accommodate the high cost of living in seoul is especially tough. other members' families are well-off sans jonghyun's and taemin's. there were several hints (speculations): -hint #1 - -hint #2 - -hint #3 -hint #4 hint #5 these are the only ones I could remember on top of my head rn. there might be more. imo these hints actually strenghen those rumors abt the earphone, and more. - as for the piano lessons, well, don't they offer some beginner level lessons at least at community center/churches? i heard some govt provide this kind of opportunity for the less fortunate. plus, he was admitted as an sm trainee when he was very young around 10/11. i believe he probably got most of his follow up intensive piano training at sm. i think he was just a normal humble non-rich kid that made use of every opportunity provided to him. plus, his interest play a big part too. if he didn't have passion in piano, he wouldn't be able too. but still he isn't at (let's say) henry's level. if he were like henry, without a doubt, i would've automatically think he was from a rich family. the piano lesson that henry got is like the kind you hire a classically trained professional or go to an expensive music school. it's ok if you're still not convinced and that you have your own opinion. thank u, ella_replay, i almost forgot abt the story behind the steak. wait, i don't think that's taemin's mom at the funeral. that lady is a worker. unless taemin's mom works there, there's no way an outsider knows how to guide the deceased's family. i've seen her mom's face in sm documentary and pics from shinee/taemin solo concerts (her side profile). she looks different.

don't get me wrong. i dont think his style is terrible. its just that it could be improved. also, the way he dresses himself is inconsistent. one day, he looks amazing and dapper, and then the next, he looks like he just woke out of bed - example, the holes in his shirt that junjun told him not to wear again lol. sometimes ok sometimes lacking. he should find a style that works best for him. i respect your opinion and sometimes i feel the same way as you too. he styles himself in his own way which makes him adorable the way he is. i don't mind him repeating old clothes as long as they look good or styled nicely. idk abt you but i've always assumed that his habit of repeating outfits, and wearing old stuff from years ago like for example, a shirt we haven't seen for years suddenly make an appearance, stems from the fact he was poor, so maybe he was raised and taught to be frugal and constantly reuse stuff. this reminds me of shinee's appearance on hello counselor during dream girl era, there was this complain about a mom who constantly cooked the same food everyday that her kids got bored and lost appetite. almost every one in audience voted it as concern except taemin who said he doesn't mind eating the same thing every day as long as it's tasty and he's not picky. not sure how to describe this feeling but it made me tear a bit. not sad tear but like, "ohh..." i sorta choked up. everybody was laughing and making fun at the mom because she likes to cook the same thing again and again as she had limited cooking ability and was trying to save money and then there's taemin who looked serious with his answer, "i don't mind eating the same thing everyday". honestly, it may not have anything to with the fact he was rumored to be poor but i just assumed it may have something to do with it.

i hope taemin gets a gf who studies fashion or works in the fashion industry or is a style consultant, so that she'll teach and help him dress better. I think that's the only way he'll see the light and motivate himself to improve on his fashion sense. i think one of main reasons he wore those shoes is because they're comfy. especially a hectic schedule, flying to japan-korea back and forth, touring, etc. they probably make his feet feel better.

taemin is so funny and adorable i forgot to ask this earlier. what do u guys think his newly dyed hair is for? key also has new hair. at first i thought maybe a japanese cb but then, key has a movie gig, the hair is probably for his movie role. what's taemin's new hair for?

when is the kma award? i honestly dont expect taemin to attend but i'm curious , has it aired already? whats the results?

the today show is a major morning show in the us and plus, its on national tv channel "nbc", its the biggest (if not, one of the biggest) us tv network watched by the public. so, that's definitely a really awesome exposure. also, thanks to stacy nam, the journalist who chose to feature taemin. if you didn't know she also went to shinee's dome concert personally recently to show support to shinee knowing what they went through. it's nice that she also showed compassion and support to the whole group.

this. agreed and you get those taemin-reebok posters (or postcards?) only if you purchase them in korea (unless if it's only valid through single transaction and not for every pair, and while stocks last, so group orders don't seem likely eligible for free gifts). not to mention, i-fans could help increase sales to reflect taemin's power as brand ambassador which could possibly convince the brand to extend his contract and get him to endorse another product/shoe line from them again. but i guess, organizing group orders for shoes could be bothersome for some people. i mean, unlike cds and merchs, they take up so much space and they're not small nor light. sometimes with celebrity endorsements like this, there's a possibility they will hold a fansign event or two or other type of promos. reebok korea stated that they'll update more schedules regarding future promos and events. so yeah there's that.

abt unit b i'm still bitter kanto was eliminated last week. a spot in the top 9 should've been his. same for jeup who's literally the strongest vocalist among all the contestants in the final epsode but sigh 😞 no luck i'm still happy for euijin and daewon for being able to make it into the final group. and at least jun is there to save the rapping parts, so i can't be forever bitter abt kanto can anyone tell me what is marco's strength? what role do you think he'll contribute to the group? rap? is he really good? is jun better than him? him making it to the final 9 is kinda random. for vocals chan is the only good main vocalist, jun is capable and kijoong has potential. but that's it 3/9. i'm not sure nor am i confident abt the rest of the group on whether they could pull off a ballad, r&b or any song that requires vocal strength. we'll probably just hear chan dominating followed by kijoong. jun would be main rapper who'll be doing rapping mostly i guess although he's capable of singing as well. unit b have way too many dancers...hmm their discography will probably be 80-90% dance/edm. the face/visual is without a doubt hojung. i think he's the best looking guy in the top 9. main dancers - euijin/feeldog lead dancers - daewon/hansol 2 vocalists 2 rappers (jun can also sing) 1 visual (hojung who is also a pretty good dancer) 4 dancers this lineup boasts many dancers (in fact more than necessary) but lacking vocalists. i'll post my opinion abt unit g tmrw. i have to go somewhere now, work is calling me.

this reminds me, "the unit" final ep will be tomorrow but taemin hasn't been on it since the 1st/mv mission and concert episode. and then the sad unfortunate thing with jonghyun's passing, so, its wise and make sense that he's cancelled every solo activity for now including the unit and just concentrate on shinee's concert in japan. the members need each other and their fans together the most atm. just thinking of the concert with just 4 of them and without one of them makes me feel really sad and empty. i'm nervous and anxious for their first appearance since the funeral too. i hope the japanese fans give them all the love and support they need.

what the ...why did kanto got #6th place? and "problem" team won over "partition & run the world" team? the unit should also make a system where the judges/mentors rank and give points. it'd be more unbiased that way. this is what happens when you only count onsite votes which is basically fandom & popularity.

i'm also glad kanto re-enters the top 9. the final group really need a solid rapper like him, so that the final top 9 will be getting public recognition for their talent.

omg yes yoonjo in top 9 @7th place! i didn't see that coming but i'm so glad and happy for her! after what happened to her and hello venus, hopefully she'll get another chance to redebut as an idol female euijin getting no.1 finally! queen! i love her presence and charisma! the male euijin rose so much to no.4 omg damn he's snatching people's hearts these past few weeks! i really like both euijins
