i'm kinda hoping for taemin's cb this year. but it seems like he won't? some other sm acts/groups usually and will get 2-3 cbs or more and that includes taeyeon solos while taemin usually get only 1 cb per year in kr (none in 2015) and seems like he won't get a kr cb this year? sigh

i saw another prediction/rumor before from @pixiedustjk that said shinee will make a repack cb and taemin will also possibly make a cb.

so idk which is true.

I came here again to search which shinee shows i haven't watched. I believe there's still something i'd watch i'm glad that they made it through this comeback

I wonder when shinee songs were played in other episodes without shinee in. I also felt bad at previous ep, but later on i just realised it's just normal thing like you said. And from the last ep at least they were in screentime until the very end.

When i was in karaoke i always searched shinee songs ofcourse. And tbh RDD or lucifer wasn't something i looked for karaoke. Even replay is so hard to sing. The moment i found "Stranger" was the best!

If they came to me i might faint instead and lost the chance to meet them

yeah, although they were last, they got to have the most screentime while the ones whose songs got picked first/earlier, went home immediately, so at least shinee onho got a lot of screentime, they got to talk quite a lot and their songs got picked finally.

yeah lol i've always imagined and fantasized that scenario. if i ever went to visit korea and sang at one of the noraebangs, what if "happy together" did the show there and shinee as one of the guests and i play/sing one of their songs and then they ambush me. i'd faint lol worse yet thinking they see and hear my awful singing skills.

i was watching subbed ep of happy together's karaoke segment for onho. i felt bad and really sad that onew said he's not confident people would pick shinee songs to be sung at karaoke. he half jokingly and humbly added that even if someone will pick shinee's song on the show, he would not believe it. he'd think the staff rig/plant their song there. even competitive minho who hates losing agreed with what onew said, and he added at first they didn't really wanna go on this show, and said that it will hurt their pride/rep (fear they'll be humiliated). it breaks my heart seeing that shinee members have low confidence in regards to their popularity (also knowing the hardships they went through last year, as well as them knowing that some of their fans left them for newer groups).

good thing mc yoo jae suk disagreed and made them feel better by saying " but shinee's songs are popular. ring ding dong got banned during school's examination (added this to for humor purpose), there's also songs like lucifer, replay".

shinee were last to stay there but fortunately some guys picked replay at last.

anyway, this isn't bad at all. i've watched some happy together's karaoke segments before and some established names/legends like shinhwa and rocker kim kyungho stayed and waited there until the show ended and they ended up going home without anyone picking their songs, unfortunately. i felt bad for them. it's also a matter of luck, not just popularity.

anyway, it's awesome how amazingly popular and trendy shinee songs were during their early years like replay, rdd, lucifer, etc which are still very well known and have impact. mention at least any of these 3 songs, people will definitely know shinee. the last popular shinee song in the public was - view(2015). today's gen of kpop fans underrate shinee so much and they thought shinee are not well-known but thats not true. their past hits still make them relevant today. nowadays, shinee songs don't do as well as in the past but that's understandable for a group thats in their 10th year. still active and having longevity is more than good enough.

i watched the other performances from previous episodes and uv had problematic styling in one, so i'm glad taem lucked out that they didn't go too far out. i really like the uv song as well for the reasons you mentioned. he sounded great--they definitely were gracious enough to let him shine. i loved his dance break. most of all, i liked how much fun he had preparing and performing that song. it's a performance that i'd rather watch though (vs. pinocchio which i downloaded on itunes). like you said, he wanted to express himself in pinocchio (and i like that it's not about love)! i think the song is part of sm's stock though--but i agree that it's not typical sm sound.

primary mainly produced ujh's last album i think. i also want taem to work w them.

yeah the styling of uv-kjk collab perf was a mess. i was actually worried they might do smth like that again but thank god taemin dodged that bullet. uv members are comedians if i'm not mistaken which could either be legit funny or become messy and problematic.

yeah the uv collab perf was very fun and entertaining to watch meanwhile pinocchio is better as a song, imo you could hear the instrumentals clearly which couldn't really be heard during live. the perf with uv is best suited for award shows.

season 2 is confirmed for sure. i think it would be in their best interest to cast taemin again if he's available, since every single article about season 2 requests him also his collabs had the most views and interest.

comments from naver tv? it's great if there's a big genuine interest from the public, i hope the comments aren't just fans but also the non-fans who discover him. i wouldn't put it past sm tho. they've done pretty bad job in the past by rejecting some good opportunities for some of their idols, namely seohyun (now ex-sm). depends if taemin is busy with his cb preparations, solo activities or even activities in jpn. sometimes sm can be a bit demanding from tv shows too. i'd hate it if they treat this like they always did send shinee to pilot shows in the past to test waters (in this case, the call is a new show formed this year).

also, another thing i noticed about taemin's appearance on "the call" particularly the "pinocchio" collab is that he has pretty much has his style. his mysterious sexy vocal tone. we noticed this in "move" too.

how are you sure? its confirmed? i thought they will get different artists that never been on the show before to join but i also think some of those from season 1 will return or appear for several eps. but nothing is certain as of now i think.

better song- pinnochio

better performance- tbh i liked both for very diff reasons.

absolutely love him in shows like these that are not 'idol' heavy and and seem on the more serious-ish side. i think its good for his public appeal. i'm pretty sure he's already confirmed for season 2.

i would like him to collab with iu, zico, bolbbalgan4, or suzy. anyone with a high public interest. i would have said gd but he's in the military.

Loved both perfs so much, but pinocchio is more my kind of style!

Like mims said i also really like these kind of shows that can attract the general public (rather than being fandom based) where people who are unfamiliar with taem can discover how talented he is and be mindblowed by him TT, so yeah i hope we'll be seeing him in season 2 and also in some other ones for example masked singer, lots of people who are sleeping on his vocals need to see the light lol ><

imo "pinocchio" was really awesome to watch esp stage presence-wise but the one with uv was more enjoyable live esp the interaction with the audience and the added humor and entertainment. song quality ofc pinocchio wins meanwhile the song with uv is more entertaining and funny which is exactly what uv usually do to entertain people with their music.

the show enabled him to get to know other artists with different musical backgrounds and make connections as well as try out different and new things which he otherwise would've probably never had the chance without the show. his social interaction from what we noticed is only limited to his friends, sunbaes and hoobaes. not to mention, taemin's collabs before were always with labelmates which had this typical sm sound, so it's great that this show allowed him to break out of his shell, his comfort zone and his circle of people that he knows. and he got to express himself thru lyrics of pinocchio. so whoever idea was it to recruit/put him on this show... whether it was the pd, sm or taemin himself decided this, it was one of the best decisions.

of course i'd like taemin to join the show again. there's a lot more artists on the show that i wished he had the opportunity to work with.

it's awesome that he got to know and be friends with bewhy, being same age and all. there's a barrier between idol world and the hip hop world so its usually kinda rare for either sides to be close and work well together. therefore it's cool that through this show he got to work with one of the most talented rappers in korea.

the collab with uv was great for him to try new things and enjoy himself. i doubt he'd have an opportunity to work with them at all outside the show seeing how sm is really protective of their idols' image. so, it's thanks to this show that we got to see smth we'd never thought would happen. it's awesome that uv and taemin picked each other to collab with for the last mission. at first i thought and worried the collab with uv might turn out tacky and messy but it was actually pretty good and very entertaining. the lyrics lol.

more than collab with popular digital charts artists, i hope taemin finds out what and who suits him the best. try and experiment with new and different sounds, genres and artists. some of the acts we thought might be an odd combination from the first impression, but could actually turn out working really well. i'm gonna say some slightly different names than the popular names that most would wished here. so, maybe gray, kim gunmo, crush, ailee, suran, microdot, soyu, hyuna, beenzino, roora, kjk, primary, etc. gd would be awesome too but he's enlisting rn, so if there's a chance, maybe after he completed his service.

on the topic of his body type, i remember taemin used to get shitted alot for it and people made disgusting comments about his body image, but little did they know or realize that his body type is one of the main reasons he's a talented dancer with flexible and versatile movements. not to mention, as one of the best, if not, the best technical dancer. he can do and execute stuff that most idols in kpop can't. rainâ€‹ knew and mentioned taemin has advantage in dancing due to his body type hence why he has eyes for taemin. it's no surprise that usually wide, thick, and muscly bodies can hinder certain movements. after he released his 2nd album, i noticed people hardly bash his body anymore because its like people realized that his body type actually an advantage, a natural gift, or a blessing in disguise. also, judging by various "move" dance covers, none can execute the dance with such balance and grace the way he does.

one of the most memorable, yet also underrated to me is this move he pulled off in drip drop:

(its not so clear as a gif , so maybe you can't really see it but you can clearly see it in the mv). it's as if his body and spine are made out of rubber or jelly. it's surreal and scary how he did that. the backup dancers didn't pulled it off quite as well because of their different body types. i tried doing that move several times to make it look as good as taemin did but i ended up almost dislocating my shoulder and disc and there was *crack* sound TT lmao rip

Yeah spoiler taem strikes again. Even with the tour it would be pretty easy to shoot, if the tour is anything like sm's usual world tour's. Since there will be more than enough time between the countries.

I will be pressed if taem gets replaced with another sm dancer(âŒ’â–½âŒ’)

i didn't watch the full ep, and just saw some trans abt the "world tour". but i just saw this...they were asked abt the idea of a 2nd season whether they'd want to continue and no doubt all cast wanted/liked

this includes taemin, he meant he wants continue "of course" if it doesn't clash with his schedules esp world tour. look at others joking abt before going to the army and before body aches/turning old. kikwang obv worries abt joining army next year, so, it's not only taemin who worries abt his schedule clash/busy. 2nd season with the same casts seem possible...

however, it doesn't come as a surprise if it won't be possible for him. even without the world tour, sooner or later he's bound to be busy and have other solo activities/prep for his solo cb or smtg(bigger priorities/commitments), maybe a jpn tour or jpn cb (with shinee and/or as solo) as well, so... that's gonna be hard for him to fully commit to wntd. if he and sm somehow can arrange and make it work (cont. with wntd and his other schedules), the better. but i wouldn't put my hopes up much. it also depends on whether the ratings for this season was good enough for the pd to cont. a 2nd one. and that is still uncertain/nobody knows.

Why not the dancer' really is the best show taemin's been a part of. It was so much fun. The production and editing team did a stellar job.

if i'm not mistaken, based on some trans, he said he won't do 2nd season becos there'll be a world tour (for shinee) probably. or he meant that if 2nd season will start right away after this, it won't be possible for him due to schedules and shinee's upcoming world tour.
