Those questions are asked to them because they are meant to value their work and sales. The question both were referring how drake and kanye's growth and market value isn't really indicative of a real sales and not natural if you have dedicated fans buying your work over and over again, which is the same for BTS. What everyone in the business is asking is are those bulk sales really sales and can they be used as a criteria for charts?

I still don't see the reason to ask this to them, the discussion can happen just like it happened about bundles imo.

These kind of questions are asked to artists. Kanye was asked about his cult followers accepting and buying everything he creates. Rolling stones were asked if their fans are genuinely objective about their music or if their fans just follow them because they view them as cultural and cool phenomena. And even drake was asked about his ghost writers rumours, which by the way for rappers this is the biggest insulting question to get. Journalist job is to ask questions that are relevant to the artist, so this was very much a valid approach. Hence the reason why it got even preapproved by HYBE.

It is time for BTS to be reviewed like all artist are.

But even with Drake and Kanye the questions were about their work (drake case) or fandom ( Kanye case), not about chart manipulation. I've never seen an article asking, on the artist face, about fans manipulating charts, even if it's just allegations, nor about payola and vpn, that are clearly are more problematic than sales since they are against the rules. That question in particular and the fact that the article is using twt troll accounts just to write something doesn't sit right with me...

  3. My problem with that article is that this kind of questions about chart manipulation are never asked to western singers, not a word about payola, bundles or vpn to these artists being made at their faces, even when there IS controversy about it all the time.

RM handled it well as usual, anyway.

Edit: Oh, also idk why they mentioned the Dua Lipa fan that is actually a twt troll who just say shit under chartdata tweets... And Dua Lipa got a lot of controversy regarding chart manipulation around her name....

Thats lame. How is she going to compete with Hybe other GG that have Sakura? If they debuts closely together, no one have any time to spare attention to them. On top of that, we have another upcoming group under Starship with Wonyoung who South Korean adore to death. This coming years in Kpop wouldnt be some child's game, its going to be full fledge WAR. Little fish cant survive in a shark tank, get realistic, Miss Heejin. 🤦

Sakura already got a fanbase and that's great for her but MHJ group is going to be fine, lol, they are the gg people have been waiting for years.

  5. This is confusing af right now so from what I understand, this is what's happening.

HYBE got BH music and SoMu under their label.

There were 3 rumored ggs for Hybe sublabels, one with SoMu, one with BH and MHJ that might create another sublabel, and one for the new iLand.

Izone members are rumored to be under SoMu ( with Sakura and Chowon as the rumor say), Min Hee Jin group seems to be complete already ( Two members were at BTS PTD mv) and are either under BH or a new label with BH and MHJ or just MHJ, iland 2 will happen only god knows when, but there were rumors about Kirin joining.

They should push their date back because the hype and attention are all on this group. I dont think its smart for those girls to debut sooner. We are talking the strongest girl group with the potential to be the very next nation girl group and not just some fodder to the inflated industry.

Nope, aparently the rumor is for another gg, not the hybe/ min hee jin one, the lineup is conplete for a while already. The one with Izone members is for a SoMu group.

Tbh curious about their strategy too

In general everyone just ready to finally see a girl group from them.

Now rumors are that Sakura/Chaewon will not be part of Min Hee Jin group (the one Hybe been working on since forever) instead this will be a different GG.

Yes, looks like they will be part of a SoMu gg, not the Hybe/ Min Hee Jin group, the new addition would be weird since rumors say the group is complete already.
