day 2 was glorious! I'm reacting late because I knocked out right after i got to hwasa's part. i listened to the audio stream as well...man i'm so spent. i can't imagine how the moos attending felt. also, that was probably more like 200 minutes instead of 100 (as advertised). I don't know if that was bad planning or intentional. Solar made it so worth it though, i don't know if anyone could muster up even an ounce of irritation. tht was everything....and big booty...so many surprises. Sleep in the car with just wheein and her. this concert was so many things i didn't think it would be. blew my expectations out of the water. going back on solgam 6, i thought i was gonna end up liking the way the wind blows more than nada sou sou since i'm not too into ballads. especially ballads very specifically conveying sadness. but i'm totally into it now. i like it more, and it does technically represent the solgam series better than the way the wind blows. in general, i'm just very happy about solgam 6. it doesnt hurt that there were 4 songs released for it. i don't really know how i'd feel if it was released a different way - as in, nada sou sou on its own. I like that all the songs pretty much balance each other out, although 'it's been a long time' really is an outlier of all the solgam songs. they're all really so aurally pleasant. like the sound mixing of where the wind blows gives a vibe of being on the seaside and travelling; in nada sou sou, the instrumentation is actually a bit more bare (but still beautifully mixed) since solar's voice is more important and comes out resounding; in 'it's been a long time' all the fun little sound effects that solar adds (like the "keke" sound) to it that really emphasizes the yeba side of her -- it's such a fun song; and of course, SWFS, which is the most bare instrumentation wise, as it should be -- simple and sweet.

this. i love the emphasis. it catches your ear so easily. His flow are so good and his lyrics are deep. I can see why hwasa would want to learn how to write lyrics from him. That said, hwasa's first verse is also lyrically great. and her smoky voice i think is such a selling point of the overall vibe of the song. I also agree that the style is so very Hwasa, who loves reggae. i love that woogie catered to what she wanted so much. separate from that, did you guys catch the small easter egg where loco (the replying voice to loco's rap) shouts "HYEJINAH" as part of the background? Thanks you two, and for your observations vastra. I totally did not know that Vocalists React video existed until now. I felt proud hearing their input and also glad to know that all of them actually have been singing healthily since debut, and as vastra has said, they've only ever since improved and have acquired healthier habits. That makes me happy and I feel more confident about their vocal longevity. I noticed that Hwasa captured their attention the most and, in a fandom where the volume of hwasa appreciation is much lower than the rest of the group, that's what i like~ I do promise my appreciation for the 4 members is actually pretty well-rounded and shorter in other social media, but i tend to compensate for the lack of hwasa content a lot (in case you haven't noticed) The stars aligned and hyejin got PAKs on her own, and this was cause for some celebration and reflection. In a way, everything seemed to have been leading up to this very moment. Hwasa caught a lot of western attention during Yes I Am, had 2 performance videos on her go viral on twitter (Busan performance and starry night broadcast fancam), her mumble cover of Havana, and now finally this. An actual official song blowing up with the help of Loco and Woogie and Hyena on the Keyboard shipping. And AYEEEE! a 9th PAK. give me a moment to grab a screencap

I just got around to watching it! Was definitely impressed (Hwanhee and Son Junho/Kim Sohyun pair caught me for the dramatic performance flair and dynamics, respectively) And like i know all of these guys are pretty old hand in this, I'm surprised at how much they could still do with their voice despite how much they exert it for singing. Especially all the male singers who did the sing-screaming (i can only assume they're doing it healthily somehow for them to still be able to do that). To make it more related to mamamoo, I would have definitely wished that they were able to sing in front of these sunbaes, with a great cho yong pil song, and have their names be associated with them. On the bright side, they've already performed in front of i'm pretty sure most of those greats singers and have actually stood on the same stage in past immortal songs 2 episodes. so it's a shortlived regret It also brought to attention the fact that I want mamamoo's vocals to be that healthy and strong even 10-20 years down the road. I'm actually a little worried that hwasa may have lost some strength in belting higher notes since debut. She's taking very good care of her voice now (they all are), as we saw from hyena on the keyboard, and it's not like I'm a vocal expert, but i do get the feeling that she can't do the extravagant things she did with her voice during early IS2 days and mr. ambiguous adlib belt. which, all things considered, if we're going by their music style path as individuals, is probably fine? Of the four of them, I think it might be more important for Solar the most to be able to keep a wide range and healthy belting since she likes to do these folk ballads. The rest, as long as they're the ones making most of the decisions in what they're allowed to do with their voice, won't actually need to worry about straining their voices (and having to learn how to do it healthily) like that anymore.

Was not expecting a full mv at all. Clearly, This was planned since before new Zealand for us to get This mv. And judging by this release, were gonna get the 4 songs with 4 mvs in 4 days (including today) I love it. EDIT: scratch that! I can't count. I thought it was still the 20th so everything can nicely fall on the 24th. They're just as likely to release two in one day (24th) As for my opinion Of the song/mv itself, It was altogether pleasant. And that's gonna sound like I think it was mediocre, but I sincerely think that everything about it, from song to music video, to instrumentals, to solar is just super extremely pleasant. It's also like her fastest tempoed solgam, and that makes me like it even more. It now falls under acoustic easy listening and less slow ballad.
