Cute. Get those tween fans.

This concept will probably make me miss Cherry Soojin a lot more. The Blow Your Mind teasers have a similar bright feeling to U Go Girl and that's a Top 3 fave for (g)i-dle covers. I keep typing it without the accent mark because I'm lazy, but I pronounce it wrong when it's not there.

No alternative views allowed. It's negative and everything is over before it could even begin. Yuqi's gone forever and (g)i-dle is done now. That's it!

In the video Yeji's visuals remind me of the actress Yoo InYoung. She plays supporting roles in Empress Ki and My Love from the Stars.

Idk how similarly things work in kpop but attracting a fanbase that includes a lot of young girls seems smart. Think Taylor Swift and how I've read that whole families would attend her concerts because so many young girls liked her music and had to be accompanied. And think how commited and stable her fanbase compared to other popstars and how they've grown with her. There's a lot of potential here and interested in how they develop.

The snippet of No that people were concerned about reminds me of the spoken bits from Madonna's Vogue. Curious about the full song and obviously hoping it's well received. ....... Miyeon's current hair color really suits her. And I'm going to agree with people saying the makeup they've been using on Shuhua doesn't suit her. I think she'd benefit from a lighter, or just a different, touch. Maybe Minnie too.

I remember Soyeon said they wanted a Latata 2.0, but she wrote Hann instead. She could still work with Big Sancho even if he's not an in house producer anymore, that doesn't mean his relationship to the company or its artists is completely severed. As for production of the album there could be old songs and/or new ones. Look at BP's last release, weren't some of those songs several years old?

I believe Hui is responsible for at least one of Wanna One's hits. He did well on a songwriting show last year too. Pentagon is talented and Cube seems to encourage their idols to participate in production, so I wouldn't be surprised to see Minnie and maybe Miyeon credited at some point too. Why are people blaming the Hyudawn situation for CLC's comeback delay though? I thought they were initially meant to comeback in June/July, which would have been before that incident. They started teasing back in spring and someone posted (g)i-dle's v-live to celebrate their first win and claimed clc could be heard practicing in the background. Plus that drama didn't stop any of their other groups, including Pentagon, from promoting and continuing their activities. Something else happened there.

Basedonthenonreactiontothegdaincident I'd say Korea is still their #1. They lost a soloist, a sub unit, and their moneymaking group has members enlisting, I guess they'll be filling those gaps by aggressively pushing their groups in Korea and, yes, internationally to collect as many fans as possible. I don't think it's a coincidence that the girls' first CF type thing is a Korean-Western partnership that's meant to be usable for all skin tones, but I also think it's unlikely that they'll neglect the domestic market because they'll want Korean CF money too after losing Hyuna which means the group has to be known. I'm definitely expecting more variety, MCing and collabs this year if the opportunities present themselves. Also, as you said, Neverland is still a small fandom, it's the Korean public that's made this level of success possible for the group. I'd be baffled if Cube ignored that. Maybe I'll have to eat my words, but I feel like people are concerned over nothing rn considering how little information we have to go on. Seems pointless.

I remember speculation about a reality show when they wen on NCT Night Night during Hann promo. Might also explain why they've slowed down on the i-Talks.

Soyeon's got a lot of passion and drive to make her dreams come true. This is from UPR3. Click here to view the Tweet

It really is reaching locals. I follow this person for something completely unrelated but Click here to view the Tweet

They've charted in... this is beyond expectation. If they could take advantage of it with special music show performances that would be amazing. Either the four girls on the track, adapt the choreography for OT6, even 2yeon and two girls from CLC (whoever the strongest vocalists/dancers are) because I feel for them. If life gives you an opening learn that choreography and push all the way through. I don't even know just something to capitalize on it.

If you don't like Western advancement, fine? It's not about you anyway, it's about money. When they go to China it's about money. When they go to Japan it's about money. People will bop to Chinese and Japanese releases, but throw tantrums over the possibility of English ones even though they could open idols to a number of markets. If the net worths listed online are accurate then they're not making as much as I'd expect given their popularity. No one is listed at over 50 million. Idols working for a decade are at 10. Selena Gomez is hardly the most talented person out there and her Coach contract alone was rumored at 10 mil. Check how much soloists like Bieber and Swift are worth. I don't even want kpop invading my everyday life more than it already is yet I'm still less ridiculous about this than some of the biggest fans. Let your bias get rich(er) if they want to, damn.

Whatever decision they come to during that board meeting, there's no place for Hyuna or Edawn at Cube anymore. While everything leading to Cube's big statement was messy, I don't agree that the authoritarian manner they chose for handling the situation was the right way or the only way. There's no turning back from their choice though. 11 years at a company and with the first known infraction they choose to publicly and humiliatingly kick you out. This allegedly without even the minimum respect required to forewarn. Even if she's allowed to stay I imagine she'll end up leaving as soon as her contract expires. Why stay with a company who loudly stated you're disposable despite the fact that you've been loyal through a number of stupid management decisions. As for Edawn, in or out of the group, he'll now be blamed for any problems that Pentagon faces from here on out. The boys and fans will be painted as the ones suffering for his "selfish" choices (despite the fact that discussion among the group has been mentioned). I already see it happening in some comment sections and even if all those people aren't fans I know stans can turn on idols quickly. I'd bet many k-unis are already there with the international ones not far behind. Second to basking in success, crying in victimhood is a fans favorite pastime. If they can do both simultaneously it's like hitting the jackpot.

Well I was about to post this when the news dropped. Here are the first year releases for the last couple of Cube groups + GFriend since I think someone mentioned their rookie year here. Obviously the management was different so idk if anything can be gleaned from this. If you say her name quickly it sounds like "myeon" which is one way to say noodle in Korean. I think that was the explanation. It was just something quick during a fan sign.

Omg whyyyy lol. (G)i-dle, break the curse and release a full album in your second year. Yeah, I don't want them coming back until after CLC and Hyuna (hopefully Cube allows her to release this year). When is the cut off for ROTY? Do they all have different dates? A comeback would be good if it was quality and it could beef up their stats for awards consideration + grow the fandom, but if there's no chance I'm fine waiting a bit, but preferably no later than January. If they get stages at the shows it could be good hype. @Revanche did you mean to write Stray Kids in your last sentence?
-
The point is those are groups that are doing well or likely to do well. There might be others I don't know about, someone could debut, or make a comeback and shake everything up. Who knows. (G)i-dle is going strong. I'm happy about it and the rest is whatever. I really hate fanwars.
