also all of Okouchi's works (Code Geass, Guilty Crown, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) I was drawn to Guilty Crown after seeing a picture of Inori, and since I liked her design, I decided to check GC's plot and since it seemed interesting, I decided to watch it. What did I get? A cliched mess, full of deus ex machina and characters without an actual personality. It had good music, though, but that's the norm with Supercell. Same goes with Code Geass: interesting premise, but poorly executed. One of the edgiest anime I've ever seen, plus it made me dislike chess. Also one thing that always bugged me about this anime are the character designs. They all look too skinny. Kabaneri tried to ride on the bandwagon that was started by AoT...no, it was a complete AoT ripoff. Pretty contradictive and illogical. Oh, I just found out Okouchi wrote the script for Devilman Crybaby, too. All my friends are going crazy over this anime, but knowing it was made by that guy...

kakegurui. the concept was kinda cool, I guess, but then I actually watched it... all the female chars act in the same way. none of the characters have a moral, all of them are batshit insane, plus every episode has the same plot. yumeko gambles, figures out how the opponent's cheating, we see thirty seconds of backstory and then yumeko wins. rinse and repeat
