true but I was confused about why they wouldn't let them perform solo at other shows, it makes no sense. I've only seen Heize and the one who won attend festival shows solo(which makes sense since they're signed to Mnet).

so are the original contestants attending MAMA or not? That article was also saying something weird about the contestants(those taking part in the UR2 concerts) not being allowed to perform at any music shows solo 30 days prior to and after the UR2 concerts.

okay $500 is too cheap. I mean judging on the price $80/ticket plus a not so small amount from the sponsors and they only pay $500 to the artists? And who would be considered the least popular ones, I know the catse will be different base on popularity but this is so mean?

they're only paying that amount to the least popular rappers, I'm pretty sure Hyorin,Yubin,Yezi,Jiyoon,Heize etc. will get much more than that.

it's to do with low appearance fees, the least popular ones are getting paid as little as 500USD(I think this money is supposed to cover the costs for stylists and backup dancers) for being part of this concert and tickets cost around 80USD.......

Tbh i hope people dont take it the wrong way but i agree with hyorin. The show must go on. I think it was a bit unprofessionell of yubin to restart instead of continuing considering she is such a veteran.. No hard feelings :(

Knetz need to lay off of Hyorin, she didn't bash Yubin lmao all she said was that Yubin should have continued instead of stopping since it's a competition. Did they forget how Yubin has literally said the same comments before too? They nitpick on Hyorin but don't say anything when Yubin or any of the other fav contestants do the same. Yes there are 4 people for final. I think other 2 are Sua and Truedy because I saw them with different clothes. Sua with plaid shirt and Truedy with white shirt + jacket.

The best fitted to aggressive raps is KittiB I think, followed by Yezi.

But yeah, Truedy doing a chill rap on a chill beat, can be great. It's a shame, cause her semi-finals song is quite a chilled old-school beat, and yet she sounded like pushing her voice too much.

BUT, maybe studio version will sound different. She might have gotten overboard on stage cause of excitement and nervousness, but controlled her voice better in studio, so we'll see how that goes.

hmm I'm not sure about Kitti B, I tend to like her slower raps more but after seeing her stage in the semi finals she can definitely pull it off.  Yeah Truedy did lol and the dancing was unnecessary imo

I've noticed her screaming on stage a long time ago and already said it on this thread multiple times. Until now, i thought I was the only one hearing though.

She sounds so much better when she's using her lower register, but when she's scream-rapping, I really can't stand it very much. I know it usually happens when she's rapping on stage with a live audience, so she probably gets hyped and all, but it never sounded good to me everytime it happened. Again, her lower register is so much better.

Truedy right?? Her voice kept cracking on her stage with Tiffany lol she suits chill raps and her weakness is similar to Hyorin's. Hyorin also suits the chill style and not the aggressive style. The only time I thought Hyorin sounded good rapping like that was in her DH2 OST

I don't think either is the best...I just don't understand why everyone's not allowed to express their opinions without other people getting their panties in a twist. Like why is HumanNature getting negged for criticizing Truedy's rapping ability. That's great that you guys like her rapping but why must yall neg HumanNature for disagreeing? Its like when we were discussing Yubin v Sua the other week...its FINE if we disagree- there's no reason to take it personally.  Part of the reason I like this thread is because we're supposed to be able to share our opinions freely and bounce them off one another but it keeps turning unnecessarily hostile and petty.

 

There's pro's and con's to either Hyorin or Truedy winning- but I'd find it hard to say one is considerably better than the other or vis versa

Don't bother with that Truedy apologist, she's always making excuses for her as if her life depended on it but you say one thing about Truedy that isn't praise and she goes ape*it.  Preach it about there being no pros or cons with either of them winning.

Truedy's rapping voice sounds fine but she also struggles with yell rapping much like a few of the other girls do....and yet no one ever calls Truedy out for it so i'm kinda confused- she doesn't always do it but I've noticed it a LOT. So add that to the list, lol.

Rap is not just about flow, flow is one thing and there's also artistry,charisma.writing,lyricism,delivery etc. but yeah let's act like Truedy is amazing cause she has a nice flow and can adapt to different stages. I guess my sister is a good rapper too then lol

Trudy's tone is similar to Tasha's but she  doesn't imitate her rapping style. if Hyorin wins would be the most unfair thing that could have ever happen in UR2 it would be like Jimin winning against Cheetah.

 

even if she recycles all her lyrics (which is partly true ) she is on another league than Hyorin rap wise as much as people dislike her, you have to admit the girl has talent.

I was thinking pairing yezi up with a popular singer would've been a smart move (a guy vocalist especially, those seem to do well especially during autumn/winter,K.will maybe? would increase her chance of success i think) hopefully if she does do a collab she'll have a lot more rap lines, then the singer would be a featuring.

I'm not sure if truedy will see any success outside of the show considering the amount of hate shes getting, she has strong supporters but few in comparison. I wonder if she can redeem herself by changing her style or something...just a "what if" haha
