It's funny you mention this, because Seulgi's circle of friends are also the gayest idols in the industry and yet most people in this thread seem to be 100% certain about her straightness when in reality she hasn't done anything that proves she is. Besides, she's the most awkward female idol I've ever seen when she's interacting with other girls and that doesn't particularly scream hetero to me. 

Hmm I get where you're coming, especially Seulgi's recent interactions with Moonbyul, Yooa and D.ana on IDOT have raised my suspicions although I do think she's also just a generally awkward person (in the most endearing way). Of course we can never be 100% sure of anything since this is just pure speculation but Seulgi has talked about boys (male actors particular) and seems to enjoy male attention a lot more than say Wendy or Irene. She's also expressed slight discomfort at so many fangirls finding her 'oppa ish' and claimed that she wanted to show a more feminine side. You could take that either way though, since she's also explicitly said she hasn't ever been in a relationship and has no interest in dating right now.

Warning; this is "out of the box thinking" because I cannot sleep. So you have been warned.

 

K I was just thinking about Wendy. Well like I feel there could be something between Wenrene but like not really romantic YET. Let me explain.

 

So we all know that Wendy (bless her soul) is someone who likes to take care of her members. And I think she takes care of them according to their needs. So for example.

Yeri - she's in that stage of her life where she's trying to figure out who she is as a person, she's the baby of the group. So Wendy looks out for her like you would look out for your younger sibling. For yeri, Wendy is like the cool older sister who would be like cool if Yeri was like "unnie, I like saeron" (for example) and Wendy would be like "yo, that's okay with me. As long as my little Yeri is happy, just be careful of anti-fans, netizens and dispatch." I mean Wendy even went to dinner with the two girls and calls Saeron "the girl next door". So I really think that she would be really okay with the Saeri ship sailing forreals.

 

For Joy - Wendy is known to be Joys number 1 fan. So with my out of the box thinking I got going on. Under that mask she wears as RV Joy there is actually a girl who is genuinely not confident in her skin (like most girls are, I don't mean to stereotype but just go with me on this one) but like idol members are humans too. Anw so to boost Joys confidence she becomes her number 1 supporter and cheers for Joy constantly so Joy can be like "fk yeah b*tches I'm cool as hell and you can't tell me otherwise"

 

For Seulgi- this one was hard to think. But Seulgi is such a cute little fluff ball. Like she's super talented but she's like not really confident in her abilities. Even tho RV stans and especially Seulgi stans are all like no but Seulgi is so freakn amazing tho why she no believe that. So Wendy is all like "see that's my friend Seulgi" "yo that's Kang Seulgi she's so freakn amazing"and Seulgi being the cute person she is is all shy like "thank you, but I don't think so" but Wendy will constantly insist that Seulgi is really good at everything she does.

 

For Irene - so she's like big sister of RV so she's like trying to look after her girls and make sure they're all okay and behave themselves and like are able to talk about what's going on for them. So because she's so busy with her role as the unnie/eomma of RV, Wendy is like "no you're not looking after yourself unnie, let me take care of you" and Irene is all like "No, I'm the oldest I need to take all this responsibility on myself" but Wendy is all like "sorry unnie, but let me take care of you. You do too much for us and that's too much for you to take on. So relax, chill and let me love ... I mean take care of you man" and Irene continues to insist that she will take care of Wendy because Wendy's family lives in another country but Wendy is more worried about Irene exhausting herself from being the unnie and leader of RV.

 

And from all that push and pull between Wenrene the two kind of developed feelings but like not deep enough but just enough that you can tell that they have some what feelings for each other but like at that stage where they're like "does she like me? Idk, but it's not okay to feel this way but I can't help it" kind of thing.

 

So to really sum everything really. Wendy can be bi or like straight depends on how you look at it. NOT bi leaning towards men, I feel she could be sitting right in the middle when it comes to being bi. I look at it like that because she reminds me of myself kind of (I'm an asshole and that's how I live my life and Wendy is an angel I swear to the heavens above that she really is an angel) anw back to the point, I know she treats males and females differently. Where she treats males like her bro and she treats females like she really takes notes of their needs and caters to them (that's how I think too) like I treat males like bros because you get really comfortable with them rather than that shy awkward girly thing and you can just chill with them and the relationship is like real cool cause you're comfortable with being yourself. But when it comes to girls you kinda just wanna cater to them and make them feel good about themselves cause you know as the saying goes "happy wife, happy life" so taking note of your girls biggest insecurity and making feel beautiful about herself will boost her confidence and she becomes really happy with herself and that's all you want because she's happy and she's feeling good and confident about herself. You know what I mean?

 

Look if you managed to read through all of this I commend you man. If you want to tell me otherwise that's cool too because this was really one of those thoughts that you have before you sleep and its like a lightbulb went off. Anw yeah I was just thinking that Wenrene could be a something but not like a real romantic something.. just yet. Ohh and Wendy is an angel :D

I pretty much agree. Most of the speculation here is based on how these girls interact with and react to other girls, especially their group members since they spend the most time with them and in Wendy's case it's hard to form a conclusion based on that since she's super sweet to all the girls, and generally just about everyone else too.

She definitely supports the girls in different ways but what strikes me about her dynamic with Irene is the support that Irene gives her. It's like Wendy supports all the girls but Irene especially supports Wendy, as evidenced by some of the stuff she's said earlier like about Wendy needing a lot of love and Irene saying she'll make sure to give it all to her, constantly talking about Wendy's solo song on the rookie album, mentioning she'd like to go to Canada (maybe to raise attention to the fact that Wendy hasn't been home in forever and misses her family?) So yeah, while Irene is a great leader and supports all the members she seems to be particularly receptive to Wendy's needs. In a recent interview as well, Wendy spoke in detail about how great Irene is at listening and offering advice.

For the most part though, I don't think there's anything particularly romantic about their dynamic since it's likely based on Wendy being alone in Korea and Irene doing her part as leader and supportive unnie by being there for her. However I do get a sense of some kind of romantic feelings sometimes. Irene is a clingy person for sure but it's easy to see that she's particularly clingy with Wendy, they're almost always in some kind of physical contact (holding hands, hugging, wendy being a gentlewoman and guiding her down the stairs etc) and it strikes me as a bit odd. Another thing is Wendy's reaction to Irene sometimes. There's a gif (I can't find it rn) where Irene's doing aegyo and pokes Wendy in the arm while doing it and Wendy's reaction is kind of priceless (she notoriously hates aegyo) since she very obviously blushed, rubbed her arm and looked down bashfully. When the other girls do aegyo you can always see Wendy cringing in the corner but when Irene does it she kind of enjoys it and it makes her very shy. She also loves it when Irene speaks with a satori accent and keeps trying to get her to say 'unnie' in satori rather than oppa when Irene was asked to do it on a radio show. She also takes every opportunity she can to gush about how pretty Irene is but then again she does that with the other girls too. I think their personalities are such that when put together it creates a suspicious dynamic but I doubt they're actually romantically involved or anything.
