It's quite often a single translator is what makes the difference. It's the case for a lot of the smaller sub groups. In the case of Head So Tiny Subs, hg started out doings subs with KMD subs before joining Crayon Pop Slave Subs which was renamed CrayonPopMe subs. He also translates or QCs for subgroups that formed from the Crayon Pop reddit/IRC community which include Bob Girls Sundry subs (Bob Girls), Tonkatsu Subs (Heyne), Zan Zan Subz (Zan Zan), A_A subz (Ara, Chrome staff member). It's only recently that he decided to venture into subbing BESTie shows after mulling it over for some time. If you get the chance, drop by the #crayonpop channel on Snoonet (you can find the link on the crayon pop subreddit) and spam a few pictures of Hyeyeon. He'll appreciate it

I think they'll be fine getting picked up for shows during the year end events. Infinity Challenge is having their 2013 Song Festival soon which will dominate the charts and drown out all other artists for a good 2-3 weeks. After that, it's the lead up to the year end events and a likely lull in major releases. Definitely sucks not being able to get a new release sooner (assuming the rumors are true) but I think they lost their window for a 2013 follow up single and fortunately it's due to the continued success of Bar Bar Bar. Maybe Chrome will decide to release a full album with the extra time?

As for collecting royalties for songs, it depends on the agreement with Chrome Ent and Dumb and Dumber. Songwriters and lyricists are compensated in various ways when a song is sold. They may opt for a flat fee with no royalties or a smaller fee with royalties. As Dumb and Dumber were part of Chrome Ent staff when they made the older songs, the agreement may be more complex as it may tie in with Dumb and Dumber's salary as well.

The fan chants from Crayon Pop's more recent performances have been relatively average compared to other popular kpop acts. As for the origin of fan chants in kpop, I'm not quite sure but they have definitely been around since the mid 90's ( .e. ). As to why fans do what they do, I can only make a few assumptions. Fan clubs organizing and creating fan chants to show their artist(s) their support, the desire by fans to participate in the performance, and general groupthink among fans probably contribute to the reasons why fan chants occur. You also have to keep in mind that live performances, both televised and at concerts/festivals, are much more common in Korea than it is in many Western countries. Additionally, fan clubs are fairly organized across many fandoms and both the size of South Korea and the proximity of major venues around Seoul and other major cities helps out with the organizing aspect. This puts both artist(s) and fans in a unique position to interact on a regular basis during the time the artist(s) are promoting their single/album.
