I agree, and now I am worried about Yuta to be promoted as a leader of this weird new group. I am afraid he will be separated from the rest of NCT just like happened with Ten, which will be sad. While I sincerely wish he could get more chances to showcase his vocals and many talents, I don't know how this will go and it's stressing me out a little

In my opinion, nobody in Dream Is gay. Haechan and Mark made me wonder from time to time but nowadays I'm pretty sure they are straight. The only members I'm pretty sure about NCT are Taeyong, Ten and Hendery, Yuta and Doyoung might be on the spectrum or at least very supportive allies.

I agree with you. Yeosang is more difficult to read since he's so socially awkward but that vlive was somewhat painful to watch, at least for me. I remember feeling really uneasy when I first watched It, if it was just for fanservice, then it's definitely too much. On the other hand, Seonghwa is interesting as well. He's apparently really sensitive and somewhat even frail, since he tends to get moved easily and he is a strong empath. Also while at first the ship with Hongjoong was heavily pushed, nowadays it isn't anymore, just some Matz bits thrown here and there. I don't know how to describe it properly, but I get this feeling that he truly feels the androgynous/almost gender-bending agenda that Is usually associated to his image during photoshoots and MVs. He can look really feminine and he seems to enjoy it... Does anyone else get this same feeling? Also, he is fine with skinship and apparently likes being held or touched. I am aware that all these things don't define a person as gay or queer, but...

Finally, I was waiting for someone to address this moment because when I watched I was like, uh? What just happened? It was embarrassing and didn't sound scripted at all. Honestly, nothing about Jinhwan ever seemed straight to me (that old baseless rumor about him and Jimin dating was simply too crazy to believe for me) and I highly doubt about Junhoe too. He's a weird guy but this might work out for them, I mean, iKON are declining and they might even date, if that's the case of course, avoiding a lot of unnecessary fuss. Very interesting.

I like NCT overall, but something always prevented me from liking Lucas, especially since he mocked Jungwoo's limp wrist. That was a very telling moment, imo. When he was put in SuperM, I actually wondered why he was part of the group, since besides of having a face that sells, he isn't a good singer, dancer or even entertainer. Success and money tend to make a bad effect on talentless people, because they'll feel invincibile after getting recognition that they hardly deserve. And people like that is rarely smart, so I guess something like this was bound to happen, sooner or later. I feel sorry for poor Hendery who missed a comeback because of Lucas and for the rest of WayV who have to live in the same house of a gigantic asshole.

Hello, since some of you addressed to NCT Taeyong topic lately, I'd like to tell my point of view, feel free to disagree or to discuss further. Putting everything under spoiler to avoid clogging the thread. I wrote some posts about him before, but now I partially changed my mind.

My thoughts on this but under spoiler because it's not directly related to idols and K-pop

Thoughts on the rest of NCT (excluding Dreams and WayV since I don't know them much, shame on me). As usual, I tend to skip all the detective work in my analysis, like looking for receipts, videos and so on, because I tend to rely on my impressions more. So consider this my personal opinion.

Sorry, I didn’t remember the exact show, it was the Vlive/Osen, especially during the acting contest game when it was Doyoung and Taeil's turn. Also there's this little moment when Taeyong looks tired and suddenly leans his head on Jaehyun's shoulder but now I can't find it anymore

Sure, I'd love to! Hello sis~ I don't know how to pinpoint it exactly... maybe I am too Baekhyun biased, since I seriously consider him as an uncarachteristically deep and caring person. I could totally picture Taeyong and him having somewhat deep conversations at night in hotel rooms and so son. I think Taeyong is guarded just as usual, but in this comeback he shone more than ever! I am referring to one of the latest videos we got from SM, the behind the scenes of the recording of Kick it, where the staff asked for his opinion and showed respect for him and his work. Also, those tattoos he got, UNDER and STAND, and the meaning behind them, this is not just something that anybody would put on his skin. I think he started wondering more about his true self, his goals and expectations from life in general. It's literally just a feeling, though... so take it with a grain of salt

I had been wanting to share my take on NCT for a while, but I felt I still needed to get to know them better before saying anything, since I've got into them just recently. Still, I think that my opinion could be interesting to read since I am probably older than many of the current users of this thread and a queer woman as well (noona fan here, yo). Please notice that this is my personal opinion and I am not trying to force my thoughts into anybody, I am just sharing my point of view. If you don't feel like reading a long and probably a little boring essay just skip this. Also, this is mainy Taeyong and Yuta related, but there will be musings on other members here and there. Beware, it's loooooong.

Hello, I'm a long time lurker but I'm very faithful to this thread. I crawled out of my cave to share this video (it's not really new, so if it has been shared already, I apologize in advance but I don't remember seeing it here ). I seriously love this guy, he's my spirit animal and he's (at least in my opinion) very funny. Check out his YT channel if you haven't yet, most of his videos have english subs and are seriously hilarious, a great pick-me-up for those times when you are feeling a bit down. I love his bright attitude, he doesn't give a flying f* about what people think of him<3 and he's the loveliest sweetheart you could ever met. Also, I love his sarcasm. Also, he doesn't really says anything we didn't know yet, but I thought it was just another opinion worth being shared in here, and he basically confirms many things that were already discussed. In the past he was a trainee for Seventeen's company (I don't really follow them so I don't know it well) and still works as a model for CFs, as a dancer/backdancer and as an influencer (lol), so he has a bit of knowledge of Korean entertainment industry. In case you're interested, he also made a report from Seoul's Pride. Just don't take him too seriously... Remember to enable english subs!
