  1. Yes, someone needs to break it down to him that "Minhyunie hyung" ain't tryna catch a case (and he's just not into him).
  2. I don't think it was either but it is an example of how much some people care about their every interaction together to compile and archive them in a format that can be widely shared and added to with anyone on the Internet. And people will take things out of context and draw conclusions regardless of the intentions of the subjects (like what we do on this thread). So my point was that Jaeyong were clearly uncomfortable with being in that situation and since they can't control the actions of other random people, they just stopped interacting whenever a camera was or could possibly be around, to cut off the supply of content. I just speculated further what ideas they would not want people to draw about them based on how some of their moments can come off. I think it's a reach to say any of those lyrics are about Jaehyun, but they are interesting for the bolded reason. They really go against the image he/SM was trying to push before. I'm sorry, but those lyrics, and the song overall, are too blatantly sexual to be about his sister. That was some major spin
  3. And y'all thought I was being hasty saying Taeyong was coming for the top of the NCT Gay Pyramid But the existence of that Google Doc bolsters my theory that they (probably mostly Jaehyun) got camera shy and cut off their interections with each other while also stepping up their skinship and fan service with other members to shift attention and scrutiny away from themselves. Now that they've gained the reputation ofjust being "touchy with everyone," they're back to being friendly on camera. Now if there are other compilations of three years of clingy suspect interactions between them and other members, I would not be opposed to seeing them and re-evaluating my stance on Jaeyong if it means more gay
  4. Yeah, that's probably why Minhyun is gently trying to shut him down (besides it generally being awkward when you're on the receiving end of a one-sided crush).
  5. That boy is obsessed with Minhyun. Someone tallied how many times he talked about "Minhyun hyung" in one of his vlives and it was like over 18 times, in just ONE video. Like how can anyone not see that he is not straight like...
  6. I haven't been able to catch up with this thread for a month, it moves so fastnow, but I just got to when y'all realize there is a gay thread and I died ecause that's the whole reason I even have an account here, and I'm the one who most recently brought up JRen as a possibly real ship. Nu'est doesn't get brought up a lot though because a lot of people there don't know them that well, so if anyone wants to spill some tea over there, you're more than welcome!
  7. OH GOD, that video took me back to senior year of high school except my songs of choice were Adele's "Best For Last/Chasing Pavements," and vaguebooking instead of video. Don't worry Eunki, something better awaits! Someone mentioned Ten's crush on Taeyong in relation to the Jaeyong discussion. Considering that he's close to Jaehyun, I think that would have killed whatever crush he had (I don't really think he had a serious one anyway). Ten doesn't seem like the type who does drama and is more focused on his career and wouldn't want to create mess in the group. They aren't even compatible and would probably crash and burn so would it be worth it? (For te record, I think Jaeyong would crash and burn too if they're real). I'd honestly would avoid getting involved with other idols especially in my own group because the probability of it turning into the Hot Mess Express is so high.
  8. ^This. It's not the interactions themselves but them acting icy on camera but being warm and all over each other when they think no one is paying attention. There just isn't a rational explanation for why that was happening and it drew more attention an suspicion to their relationship. It read to me more like Taeyong was plagued with self-doubt which kept him from getting close to Jaehyun because he felt that he failed to really "understand him," which meant he couldn't "take care of him," leading to a bunch of negative thoughts. Taeyong is very introsective and self-critical, especially when he feels his actions have a negative impact on others (see his breakdown over the scamming scandal on NCT Life Seoul). I wouldn't be surprised if he struggled with anxiety and depression. He does write some deep and poetic lyrics though. Anyway, that message didn't read as strictly platonic especially when you compare it to what he wrote to Johnny, Taeil, and Doyoung (the other members he's closest with). Jaehyun's was a it more restrained, except for the "I treasue you the most" and the "when you're in pain, I'm in pain" parts.
  9. THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT! And those messages to each other in context of everything else are really telling too! I hadn't seen that they resumed on camera contact with this comeback, but it's even more confusing. While I agree with you that most gay idols would probably not get involved with someone in their group because of the high probability for drama, some would given the right cirumstances and I could see it with these two. The skinship they do really stands out considering that NCT generally doesn't do that much with each other and really aren't into fanservice. They were probably drawing a lot of attention and focus, and given how image conscious they both are, they probably decided to cool it in front of the cameras to dampen the ship (while simultaneously trying to sail other ships with other members) so people don't read too much into them and see what possibly could be there. Having the receipts laid out like this is really damning, and I feel vindicated like I haven't fallen down the delulu and was just imagining things!
  10. I'd add JRen (Nu'est JR and Ren). Every member tried to sail their Ren ship, but Ren only really reciprocated with JR, and they were really suspicious when they were in Japan. They're toned down now, but also are the only two to share a room in the dorm, sooooo it's up in the air what the status is now.
  11. Eddy is already out and loves to play like they aren't fucking just friends. Like, boy BYE
  12. Please do! So many people sleep on those two because the receipts on them are very sporadic and subtle, and if you don't follow NCT closely you don't see it. But when you piece everything together...can't help but to "open your eyes," to the truth
  13. Winwin looked like he knows the T Really though, this group is so awkward in interviews; their so afraid to say soomething not company-approved, they overthink and make otherwise innocuous things seem suspect. But when is someone going to ask Taeyong and Jaehyun what their deal is because that's the real NCT Mystery! I also think that the idol industry is one that would have an above average proportion of queer identifying folk, kinda like theater and dance.
  14. Yeah if Ten had a crush on Taeyong it was during the Rookie days, and if so, then he is definitely over it now. Their interactions were also really awkward mostly because of Taeyong's slow-to-warm-up personality and he seemed to be sorta uncomfortable around Ten, like he didn't know how to take him? If Taeyong is gay (which I highly suspect he is), I think he has/had trouble accepting it, which would explain some of how closed off he is. Ten is much more self-assured and less guarded which I could see Taeyong being put off by that, not in a really negative way, but just sorta perplexed. Ten probably picked up on this (remember the comment Taeyong made about Ten being the "little sister" of the group and Ten laughed it off but seemed initially peeved) and that probably killed the little infatuation that was there. Now things seem reversed as Taeyong has become less cold and aloof and acts friendlier to Ten. But Ten doesn't seem like the type who would get involved with someone in the group. He's really professional and just has platonic energy with the rest of NCT. I don't know, I can just see why they wouldn't be close; they have polar opposite personalities. I also could be overanalyzing.
  15. I think they really have something on the down low. There is no other reason for them to blatantly ignore each other on camera, then be cuddling off camera. But yeah, Taeyong is coming up the ranks and is on the verge of knocking Ten off the top of the NCT GAY pyramid.
  16. I know you're upset, but what you said a)isn't true and b) was super derogatory and uncalled for. You'd be pissed if the situation was reversed and someone was saying all of that crap about our boys, if more of them had made it. No need to drag someone who had it just as hard as Nu'est and doesn't even have a guaranteed career to go back to. It's petty. The long range plan was always to save their careers as Nu'est and you know, this scenario (while disappointing because they worked so hard) can still work out for them and they are already reaping the benefits. Minhyun will be sure to make money to pay off their debt, their fanbase is larger, their albums are in demand, they can make a 4 member comeback, and this upset will probably make their newer fans more likely to support them than to drop them. Pledis is also less likely to have them languish or disband when they have more potential than ever to generate good revenue for them. Try to stay positive.
  17. Definite yeses to the first four. Haknyeon doesn't ping me, he's just a cringy try hard. I'd add Jisung, he reminds of a lot of theater gays I knew in college. Seonho really likes his hyungs. I go back and forth on Dongho (Baekho). I think he had a crush on Ren when he used to dress more feminine, but doesn't seem all over him anymore, but then sometimes acts salty when JRen are having a moment. So who knows.
  18. Soooo much to respond to... This is peak twink/kept-boy-with-his-"companion" (sugar daddy). Poor JungJung. Gayduce 101 has really delivered tho. More like "twincest" And just when I thought the lack of our other gay princes meant less gay this season.
  19. I think JR just likes Ren period, his infatuation with him has stayed pretty consistent no matter how Ren is presenting. The others, particularly Baekho, seemed more into Ren when he was femme. And of all the Ren ships, JRen is the only one that seems mutual and like it could have been a real thing.
  20. Are you and I the only ones following them, lol? Eddy supposedly did some vocals too. But really, they have to be dating but are keeping it under wraps since I don't know if Aoora has done his military service (if not he'll have to do it soon since he's already 30) and he's still trying to keep his music career going. We went from a couple's trip to a romantic music video!
  21. Thanks for the info, I was going to ask that someone go into more detail with their relationship as I've seen it mentioned a few times in Nu'est related threads. I can't figure Baekho out. He does things that make me go "hmmmmm" sometimes, but it's never really enough to get a good read on. I think he's most likely straight, but wouldn't be totally shocked if he was gay either.
  22. She probably got a negative reaction because what she's describing would be sexual abuse. These companies would not be making idols have sex with their fellow group mates. There might be a few guys who mess around with each other, but there are plenty of ways for them to hook up with people of their preferred sex and stay under the radar. They aren't totally isolated.
  23. Yes, a lot of straight people take for granted that despite the progress that's been made, it still is not 100% acceptable to be gay and that there are still major consequences to coming out that still force many people to stay in the closet and perform straightness. Like just because some places have marriage equality doesn't mean we are all free to be as out and proud as we would like. In the vast majority of states in the U.S. for example, it's still legal for an employer to fire you for being gay. LGBT youth are still ending up homeless because their families have kicked them out and disowned them. And this is in a culture that accepts that being LGBT is an actual thing that can happen with public figures who are out.
  24. THANK YOU. Or my other favorite "he's an ally." And it's interesting there have been many times where people don't accept speculations based on the femininity of the subject saying "just because he's effeminate, doesn't mean he's gay," yet rarely has anyone argued that a masculine presenting idol is gay. Like Jackson has been much more overt in his comments and actions regarding his attraction to men than Ten has ever, yet the consensus on the thread is Jackson's bi, and Ten's gay. I brought up compulsory heterosexuality during the debate around Heechul and that point got discounted. Idols are always going to have to perform a minimum level of heterosexuality as a part of their job. Some idols can get away with pushing the boundaries more than others, and fanservice is a factor too, but there is a line and that line is always going to incentive and reinforce heterosexuality as what is acceptable until societal attitudes change. This isn't to say there are no bi idols, because there probably are, but there has to be a higher bar than 1) they adhere to conventional gender norms and 2) make passing references to interest in the opposite sex.
