  1. I have a question and it's slightly out of topic, but maybe some of you know the answer. I read somewhere that inactive duty lasts for around eight years. You have to take a few hours of training a year and are drafted to fight in case of war (Is it really eight years? That seems like such a long time). You're not allowed to "be gay" in the army but does that include inactive duty? I mean these "rules" are discriminating enough but for such a long time?
  2. Not to but in, but about idols who recently discharged... While the loss of their career, the homophobic society etc. are a big part of the problem, there is also the fact, that the korean army abused homosexual men who were currently serving. It was downright abuse and the worst is that they'll probably get away with that. After knowing something like this happened, would any of you even consider coming out? Or even hinting on being anything but straight? I've to say I'd probably just lie, say I'm straight and keep it a secret, I'd be way to scared...
  3. Yeah, I mean there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be on your own or rather be with your closest friends than a partner. And I agree with you, I alway thought he's pansexual too. He just seems like he really doesn't care about gender at all. I also think that Yunho is gay and Yoochun (mostly) straight. With Jaejoong... I think that he's gay but I get the feeling that he'll cover that up even though a lot of people believe that he could actually be the first idol to come out. There are just so many fans who are so desperate to make him look straight and who are so openly against the idea of him being anything but. It really bothers me how some fans push him (or other idols for that matter) into gender roles. Beauty apps, makeup, flashy clothes, they make it seem like it's the end of the world that Jaejoong is using that stuff because "It's gay". What's their problem? Are they afraid that he could be gay? Would they stop loving him if he was in a relationship with another man? I'm sure this kind of fans existed before his military service but I feel like it's gotten worse. And when it comes to Junsu I actually disagree. I really think that he's bisexual. He has multiple performances that not only feature women as his sexual interest, but also men. In recent years he also started to really show a lot of affection towards men. I mean, maybe he just started to be more open in general but I just feel like he accepted himself completely and stopped pretending to be something he's not. There is of course no way to know for sure but I really think that he could be bi.
  4. About Changmin... I remember a recent fancam where he said that he has to marry, even though he doesn't want to because he is the only son in his family. That doesn't mean anything of course but he seemed to be bothered by it a lot. He could just not want to have a partner which I can totally understand or just be against the idea of marriage but it's just something that made me think. (I'm also asking myself where the idea is coming from that he's a homophobe? I always thought he was considered to be the one who 'protected' Yunho and Jaejoong or something like that. He also said that one of his favorite movies is Brokeback Mountain so that doesn't make sense at all. ) + I would really like to know more about Kyuhyun and why people think that he is interested in men. This is not the first time that I see people suspecting that he isn't straight and I can kind of see where they're coming from but I just don't know enough about him to have my own opinion.
  5. Hi, I'm new here so I'm just going to share my thoughts on a few people that are often mentioned. These are of course speculations only. I think Jokwon is queer. I'm not really sure if I think that he's gay, or bi, or just likes to ignore gender roles. I don't know him well enough for that. I recently watched a few performances of him and he's so unapologetically himself it's truly inspiring. DBSK... There are moments where I'm actually asking myself if all of them are somewhat part of the LGBT community. Jaejoong and Yunho are (kind of) out of question, in recent years Junsu just... bloomed and I started to think that he's bisexual and when it comes to Yoochun and Changmin I'm pretty sure that they are at least bi-curious. And then I'm asking myself if that's not a little bit too far fetched but at the same time, if people can just assume that everyone in a group is straight I can at least think about the possibility of everyone being part of the LGBT community. I think that Heechul likes men (and that he and Gunhee are a couple but I'm sure I'm not the only one here, who at least suspects that). I actually always thought that Leeteuk could be gay and Kyuhyun bisexual? I don't know it's just a feeling. And SHINee... I think that Jonghyun is bisexual. I mean he could also be pan. I always thought that Taemin is bisexual too, but I'm starting to ask myself if maybe, just maybe, he's only interested in men. And I'm a little reluctant to just think that Key is gay. I mean he probably is, but I don't want to jump on conclusions. I don't know other groups well enough, but sometimes I get the feeling that Jackson is bi and that Suho, Jimin and Sungjong are probably interested in men. But like I said I don't know them well enough to really back that up.
  6. Hi there~ I'm so happy that his thread exists. I identify as bisexual, happy to get to know all these lovely people here.
