for those of you who weren't there when this went down & are saying that we're looking for fights, lol. the post that started this all: proof of it remaining up: this post, equating people on the gay thread to being pedophiles (also: they weren't even discussing minors in the first place, but an 18 & 19 y/o) was left up for HOURS (these times all in EST) after the thread was "cleaned up," aka defensive posts—a lot of which from lgbt minors defending their rights & experiences—were deleted en masse. that has not been addressed or apologized for, even though multiple users repeatedly brought it to the mods' attention. this is NOT something we're exaggerating, this is intentional manipulation. idk what else to say.

I want someone to help me understand, what is this urge some of you have to constantly brush under the rug valid concerns of the MAJORITY of onehallyu & act like we're "misconstruing" a statement that aligned lgbt people with pedophiles? mocking aside, this is a non-apology. saying "sorry you guys are offended" doesn't acknowledge the harms of this decision that we all know is almost impossible to enforce site-wide. ban the men who talk about underage female idols. close the bar. there are many ways to ACTUALLY decrease the sexualization of minors on this website, and this isn't one of them, because no one is doing that on the thread anyway.

you guys have got to be kidding lol. look at the lyrics of borders and tell me what it could possibly be about if not reconciling your sexuality with your religion. look at the lyrics of closed doors and tell me it's not about being closeted in a relationship. amber has spoken a LOT recently about her past relationships, particularly around when she released rogue rouge, so it's not like she isn't dating anyone–and the people she's been dating are women. i'm on mobile at work right now so i can't link particular videos or articles but she did a whole interview about how rogue rouge was about pride, pretending to be an ally while also dodging pronouns or any kind of gendered identifiers when discussing her partners–incredibly obviously, i may add, as there was one point where she labeled her future partner using gender neutral language that came across as quite awkward–which is what happens when english isn't build around the same gendered ambiguity as other languages. she PURPOSEFULLY chose to speak like that as to not out herself. in a pretty recent WTP with emily ghoul and kirsten, she said her last relationship ended just a few months ago. she's actively dating, and i'd bet my life it's with women. i'm honestly blown away by this denial of what's right in front of our noses.
