Yep. Just like I thought, the album comes out in a week. They waited a week between the Wolf MV and the album release. EXO had the week of Wolf comeback stages and then XOXO was officially released afterwards. It's a way to make sure that the music show scores are at their highest as soon as the group is eligible to win. SM does it a lot, and other companies have followed the ~strategy.

I mean, it's perfection, but what else did we expect?? EXO's discography has generally been flawless Now we just need a fucking release date!!!!!! I'm assuming next week after the comeback shows (that way EXO can optimize their scores) I hope the packaging for this thing is cool as well~
