You know how tongue and cheek Heechul is, and how other Koreans joke all the time that he's gay and that he's like a girl because he's pretty. I could make infinite posts for all the times Heechul has talked about what he finds attractive in girls, what kind of girls he likes, etc. etc. Saying 'variety appearances are work', yes they are work but you aren't obligated to act a certain way or talk about certain things when you're there (you don't have to apply Dara's lipstick with your finger). But yes, we agree to disagree and I respect your opinion.

I know it might feel weird, but this IS the subject of the thread. Speculation, supplying evidence, as to these idols' sexualities. Homosexuality and heterosexuality are not the only two sexualities that exist. More than that, we have been fairly good at guessing 'gay', 'bisexual', 'straight', even possibly pan, with those terminologies instead of calling people only gay or straight. I'm bringing this up because everyone seems to consider Heechul only gay, and I didn't see anyone giving hard explanation for that assumption. Which is necessary when you make that assumption. And when, to me, the indication doesn't point that way. I don't know as much about Yunho and Jaejoong, but from what I've seen, they were EXTREMELY obvious. Like, extremely obvious. Yunho possibly more than Jaejoong. . . I mean, there was that point where Jaejoong said, 'I don't think that Yunho sees me as a man'. Yunho's general attentiveness to Jaejoong seemed off the charts from what little I've glimpsed.

The teen magazine: There is such a thing as preferring one sex over another, and having a fluctuating preference. Additionally, we need to look at the multiple potential explanations rather than zeroing in on one. For example: for all we know, he had just broke up with a girl and was feeling bitter. Or, he was looking for a male friend that he could relate to. I don't think it's automatic evidence that he's gay or even likes guys (which I already said I believe).

Many people have used Heechul's relationship with his friend Gunhee as 'real life' evidence. Personally, all I know about Gunhee I've learned from this thread, and I agree they are suspicious. However, I'm not as familiar with their relation so I won't make any conclusions. I would say the very opposite. In his older stuff, he seems to most aggressively pursue women and try to show off to attract them. Yes, but homosexuality isn't obligatory either. Bisexuality exists. And this is hardly semi-annual closet maintenance, he has acted this way and said things like this literally all the time from day one.

Not having reconciled with these aspects of himself, Heechul may have felt like he had to work harder to get girls to like him. Heechul's actions regarding them, especially Anya, show attraction or at the very least desire to command their attention. This can be seen especially in the first few episodes. Don't call everything he’s saying faked or insincere before you watch the videos.

(Haha no one saw the accidental video I posted about people thinking Heechul was Yunho's girlfriend, right?) Anyway, regarding the strange unclarity that sometimes comes up when Heechul has talked about his girlfriends, /negative feeling, I personally believe that Heechul has had fights or otherwise bad experiences in his relationships. When he was younger, he seemed like a person with a lot of anger inside of him, or someone who had something to prove. Okay, Heechul's attraction to women as seen in public/video coming up soon. . . I have to leave for about an hour but I will be back. (By the way, even when he TALKS about women he seems really sexually interested, even more than your average guy. He's been that way since his first appearances as an idol)

I don't want to talk about WGM, but as I said, his skinship with and flirting with Puff was just way above and beyond what was necessary for the show in my opinion. You say he's never shown any genuine affection towards women— well, he has had tons of female friends, but come on it's incredibly unlikely that he meets some random woman on a show and is going to seem visibly romantically attached to her. Romantic attachment is obviously going to occur behind closed doors if its between the opposite sexes, because it's not being explained by something like bond between group members or same-sex friends (homosexuality-ignoring Korea). I can, however, show plenty of evidence of Heechul pursuing women and seeming attracted to them. I mean, even his adoration of Sohee as his ideal type! You say how he talks about girls seems 'fake'. . . I agree that there is some negative or unwholesome feeling behind whenever Heechul starts talking about his girlfriends, but for other reasons. He's talked about not being able to keep a girlfriend and have a steady relationship in the past because his habits would always throw her off (see 'Heechul Can't Be Tamed'). There's some strange unclarity behind it all, but tons of people around Heechul talk about him having girlfriends/liking girls/going to clubs, etc. I agree with you on Ryeowook. Honestly, it surprises me that he hasn't been discussed more in this thread. Yes, Heechul had dating rumors in the past, but none of them had any proof. . . as in, his dating a particularly person was never caught and made into a scandal. But he has talked in depth about dating scandals idols get into, and said that he has personal rules when he dates a person so as to keep under the radar. For example, never taking photos with them.

Do you know the clip/event when Key said that Jonghyun was his ideal type? And, change of subject: I hope I'm not going to be extremely controversial here. But what makes all of you (or most of you?) so sure that Heechul is gay, and not bi? I went into a period once of stanning him pretty severely, watching tons of shows and old clips, and he's talked about girls, talked about girlfriends, flirted with girls, and seemed to actively pursue girls. Do you just want to chalk all of that down to 'covering for himself' or 'not being in touch with his feelings'? You guys have also talked about his time on We Got Married as showing his gayness (yes, bringing in & kissing Gunhee) but was his heavy flirting with Puff and initiation of skinship with her just 'faking'? When (I believe) most We Got Married couples gradually edge in to being comfortable & close with each other, Heechul was. . . persistent and belligerent (not unexpected of Heechul) completely unnecessarily to his role of being on WGM, apart from making things entertaining I guess, but it's still stretching it. But forget about WGM— often, Heechul's actually seemed like a bit of a playboy in his own way regarding women. . . and this has been talked about/demonstrated in many instances. These are a starter, but what do you guys have to say about this? I could elaborate more/bring in more evidence if it's needed.

Hey, not sure if this has been posted before but I'm putting it here anyway: I looked up what he said and it seems to mean, “I can only see you/I never saw anyone but you†in a romantic sense. Pretty sure Kyungil was asked to say it to Yijeong with Yijeong acting as his girlfriend. And not sure if you've seen this before but You should watch the first two minutes for context SKIP TO 19:57. . . here, it’s very obviously the end of the show and the cameras are being turned off. 0.36 (source of pic below) 1:16 mentioned that although they didn’t need them, it was ‘better when the leader’ (Kyungil) was there When Kyungil came back. 0.18 - 0.57 ♡♡♡♡♡♡â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤â¤ I love both of them so much, I love HISTORY so much. My feelings are honestly overflowing. I just hope that they're all doing okay and can have a comeback soon and that Kyungil can meet with and contact them regularly so they don't miss him. Really almost had a heart attack when Yijeong took down his instagram and Dokyun uploaded ("Forever? Hi everyone! I've been binge reading this thread (lurking) and all the speculation/analysis/discussion on here is really interesting. I'm bisexual myself, and it's made me ponder more about sexuality and the LGBT issues we face. I was blind and thought it was a kiss, but now I see it was definitely the hand. I was thinking, wow, Jimin finally got to kiss JK after asking for one time and time again! A step up though I guess.
