Yeah most of the people from the early days of the forum seem to have left by now. A couple of years back there were still quite a few left, but during the last year and a half OH experienced tons of server issues, with bugs and the forum being down for months. 

Not to mention people leaving when their favourite groups disband/become inactive. But it wouldn't surprise me if there are still quite a few left, just that they've changed their usernames and are now following new groups.

Yeah the first period is special, it's exciting and a bit overwhelming. Now you get to play the fandom elder 

I think I'm mostly on this forum out of habit and procrastination if I'm honest. I'm more on H+ (another forum) since it has a slightly more active Japanese section (and importantly the Momoclo thread moved there). But BEG's "comeback" did make me more active here for a bit!

I'm good! I'm not really following KPOP these days* but I still visit out of habit and to procrastinate.

* In part because most groups/artist I liked are inactive or disbanded, but perhaps the main factor in driving me away was how negative the atmosphere is. The tipping point was Jonghyun's death, I decided I'm better of not spending time on something that's making me sad.

So nowadays when I visit, it's mostly for the J-pop section and a bit of C-pop. But those sections feel more active in Hallyu+ (another forum) so I spend more time there.

How are you doing? It's so rare to see someone from the early days of OH!

For boy groups it's less straight-forward and obvious since they tend to have big fandoms and thus stay popular for longer but... it's fair to say that most of them stopped attracting new fans like they did earlier in their careers, and their public relevance took hits too.

Meanwhile the influence of the previously big groups were waning:

Kara lost 2 of their original members (2014), last cb in 2015.

2ne1 had their last comeback, Bom's scandal (2014).

Secret last comeback (2014).

f(x) last(?) cb in 2015, Sulli left, almost no activities.

After School got ditched.

SNSD almost no activities since about 2015.

Miss A last cb (2015).

There were also other groups that quickly hit it big despite coming from small companies:

But then in 2014 there was a radical change - most companies started revealing and debuting new groups to take the mantle from their existing ones. This was particularly obvious for girl groups.

To me they are third gen (2009-2013). As someone who followed kpop then I felt like 2014 was a pivotal year that really ushered in a new era (I consider it the "4th gen" but whatever number it has doesn't really matter).

Back in 2012 and 2013 the older groups were dominant and there was no shift in the industry. SuJu, Big Bang, SNSD, KARA, 2ne1, Sistar etc dominated and there were very few notable new groups (2012 was basically only EXO and BAP, in 2013 no groups were that no...

I think it's mostly a lack of activities and uncertainty about the future of the group. I'm not very active myself either, although I check the news. I'm looking forward to Hyomin's album though!

Ah juste jag har hört att det kan vara mycket jobbigare under vintern i andra länder eftersom det inte finns någon beredskap och husen är dåligt isolerade/uppvärmda! Det är ju oftast rätt mysigt här under vintern faktiskt. Det är intressant att ni typ utvecklat er egen version av språket ^^

Vi hade typ en mini-sommar här för någon vecka sedan. Temperaturen gick till och med upp till 20 grader en dag, men sen var den nere på typ 10 någon dag senare och man fick ta på sig jacka igen! Det är kul när det kommer folk från andra länder till Sverige och de har med sig typ jackor och vantar medan folk här går omkring i sommarkläder.

När jag flög tillbaka till Sverige efter min semester förut såg jag folk på flyget som åkte i dunjackor... mitt i sommaren!

Va bra att du får öva nu då! Det är alltid svårt när man inte har pratat/skrivit på en lång stund och man blir rostig... det tar liksom en stund innan man kommer in i det igen. Och när du nämner det måste jag erkänna att jag också glömmer bort vissa ord på svenska och måste använda den engelska översättningen ibland, vilket är lite pinsamt eftersom jag bott här hela mitt liv...

Det känns som att det dyker upp svenskar här lite här och var, men jag har inte så bra koll på vilka användarnamn de har om jag ska vara ärlig. Jag vet att det finns/fanns en tråd för medlemmar från Norden men den är nog inte så aktiv längre.

Den är dessutom väldigt passande eftersom det är ganska informellt, jag tycker ofta att det är svårt att skriva på svenska på forum eftersom jag är så van vid att använda engelska, så det måste vara ännu mer ovant för dig! Tycker det är rätt coolt att du bor i NZ ändå, det är så långt bort och verkar så annorlunda på flera sätt. Vädret är nog rätt mycket bättre t.ex

Yeah I like their early songs... There are a lot of newer girl groups I like somewhat but not one that really stands out. Recently I probably like Dreamcatcher the most. I also like Pristin's Nayoung but their songs have been a bit lackluster. I should probably listen more to Loona but I'm not that actively into kpop these days.

I still just consider myself a BEG and T-ara fan but there are also other groups I like (Kara, 4minute, Secret, f(x), Davichi, Fiestar, Perfume, etc) although many of them disbanded by now. I kinda like April and some other newer groups like CLC, DIA, Sonamoo, Laboum, Berry Good too.
