  1. song, concept, outfits, stages, INVU smashed in all categories, one of the best releases in recent years, Taeyeon and her team created perfection
  2. people who were around might know that there was a rumor back then of a trainee doing something reaaaally stupid and it was the end of what could have been the start of a big career in an A+ company. It was a lowkey rumor, no names mentioned, no company named.
  3. Yuta has clearly taken Shotaro under his wing and is a good senior and advisor for the new members. And he's still invested in 127 and NCT. But Yuta also has become a household name in Japan, he was recently featured on Forbes Japan's list "30 Under 30", he's on the cover of some of the biggest magazines there, got his own radio show and was in a movie. He was the most followed japanese celebrity on instagram in the world for awhile (he's currently the 2nd). imo he won't debut in another unit 7 years into his career, with inexperienced and much younger newbies, especially not in Japan. Can't be compared to Ten who debuted in Wayv way earlier and is a fulltime regular member whenever they have new comebacks, who doesn't promote much in Thailand and is still working on building his career in China. If anything, Yuta will have Japan, the worlds 2nd largest music market, on lock through solo works in film and most likely in music too. I'd rather bet on Shotaro, it looks like they're getting him ready to take leader position if and when the time for a japanese unit comes. I'm sure Yuta will still help that unit because he's shown that kind of goodwill before and via the NCT umbrella connection, too, since they're all NCT members.
  4. 7th Sense was absolutely ahead of its time, haunting, hypnotizing and beautifully complex
  5. she had great comedic timing in Reborn Rich, I can easily see her in romcoms, even in bigger productions like Crazy Rich Asians
  6. even if people bend backwards with the criticism it seems that financially the gamble they took with NCT did work out overall. They've been trying to make rotational and exchangeable 'project' groups happen for almost 20 years (remember the debut of Super Junior) and it seems with the added decent success of SuperM and GOT they'll continue to try. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Case in study: NCT DREAM. It was supposed to be the most rotational unit with a graduation system and nowadays it's the most fixed unit and the one fans consider the most autark and self-reliant (DREAM seems to be recognized as an independent group nowadays rather than a NCT unit by fans), so they do know when to change course. They're experimental and do make strange decisions but they seem to understand when something clearly doesn't work out. Doesn't mean they won't continue to try with something similar in the future.
  7. ready for the slayage, long live the queen
  8. it's truly a milestone in Kpop history, no one had done something like this before. Move was different, different sound, different concept, it was daring, it was sensual. And done by Taemin, the nations baby? Debuted at Seoul Fashion Week? Game changer. Move was a viral hit everywhere but I knew Taemin would go places even before that, his 1st album was already crazy, like Press Your Number still holds up incredibly well and Sayonara Hitori clearly influenced a lot of Kpop artists (his life performances of SH are pure art) Taemin is someone who's not afraid of risks and he clearly works with some of the most visionary people in the industry.
  9. this happens when a collective society values a self-described conformist look, often unreachable and dehumanizing, more than the heart or the individual, where you are judged by your genetic pool and how small your head is in proportion to your body. Good luck in your dystopia and may your children be able to live in a world which loves them unconditionally.
  10. deserved, you go Seulgi! It's great to see RV thriving even individually, it's interesting how sonically and conceptually different their solo works are. off topic but INVU was amazing, one of the best releases of 2022 imo and it was one of Taeyeon's most cohesive albums according to critics. She even promoted the lead single which she barely does anymore.
  11. Cuts with actual audio from the concert, Jeno and Haechan focus
  12. In case you were sleeping, NCT DREAM recently held their hugely successful 2-day concert THE DREAM SHOW 2: IN A DREAM in Jamsil Olympic Stadium, the biggest concert venue in Korea with a capacity of up to 70k, and there has been no shortage of iconic moments—not least of which was one between Jeno and Haechan. While NCT DREAM had fans stunned throughout the show, there was one stage that gained special attention, and that was the “Quiet Down” stage. With three of the members performing inside glass cages, the choreography had fans hooked from the beginning, especially Jeno and Haechan’s performance! The two members went hard with the steamy choreography, leaving everyone absolutely shook… So much so that, there’s more than one viral clip of it! A moment in the choreography in which Haechan kissed the glass where Jeno was proved to be too much to handle for NCTzens. Here are clips and photos:
  13. incredible! As someone mentioned it reminds a bit of Red Velvet horror hits but this is going beyond that, it's very cinematic.
  14. so so proud of these boys. They've become one of the most successful acts in Korea now. And to think SM wanted to rotate, graduate and experiment with Dreamies. Someone clearly saw the signs and made the right decision.
  15. Hrvy was pretty enthusiastic when he worked with Dreamies, fit surprisingly well and did actually decent dancing the chorus with them... which is more than some US ~artists~ call 'choreography'
  16. Key's Bad Love was amazing, he's always hands-on with his music, from the concept to the fits. This is already giving horror Red Velvet and SHINee and I'm here for it
  17. don't cry baby, you all made this miracle possible, thank you for this comeback, know that fans will always love you
  18. Billlie >>> They had the strangest, quirkiest but most innovative run imo and their live performances are incredible
  19. yes, the concerts have been re-scheduled, super happy for the boys and the fans. holy guacamole, they changed the venue from Gocheok Dome (15k+) to Jamsil Olympic Stadium (60k+)!!! I know Dreamies sold out the tix for 3 days in a few minutes last time, many fans couldn't get one and were sad, so this is double happy news!
  20. We're living a historical moment, you can tell your kids about SNSD's 15th anniversary comeback in the future! Beautiful MV, the song is fun and yes to vocals (!!!) I can honestly imagine this being promoted like Genie, they did Genie on skyscraper buildings, on a huge ship and in the middle of Tokyo, especially the part with them in the cute sailor looks, soooo gorgeous!
